    Anybody that does a video on how to do an investment website on WordPress.
    Dashboard customizing, account pages, withdrawal system, coupon registrations etc will win the internet 😊

      That needs an API connecting to an escrow account otherwise a lot of manual work needs to be done. This is something that you need to hire a web developer for as it needs a lot of customization. I don't think anyone can do a template without actually API connections.

    Hi Jack ... Thanks for your recent Kadence content - very helpful - and i agree with you that Kadence Theme and Kadence
    Blocks are currently some of the best Wordpress technology available ... in regards to this video; is there a reason your building this page with the Hooks Element? ... wouldn't it be easier to just build the page without using Hooks?

    The first video I watched of you I saw Adam @ WP Crafter's shoutout. Learned a lot from his channel over the years. I went on a TH-cam binge and watched a lot of your stuff. Love your content and your style of teaching. Watching you jump to other pages to create what you missed is actually really helpful for me, as - that's 95% how my work flow goes. I've had Elementor Pro & Astra for a while, but I think I'm sold on building my next 2 websites with Gutenberg & Kadence Pro.
    I still host with Cloudways & Vulture, how do you think it compares to your preferred SiteGround? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and journey!

    Thanks for all your Kadence tuts... all very useful. Loving this your theme design customization for the blog archive page - mind sharing how you did it as well as how to optimize images for Pinterest? 🙏🏿 Gracias!!!

    • @JackCao
      @JackCao  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The best Pinterest image dimensions are 1000 x 2000 pixels. With an image tool, save the image as JPG file with resolution of 72 (more than that will make the image size very big. Web images only need a resolution of 72.) Then, once the image is created, optimize it with tools like Imagify (optimize + serving Webp). Try to keep all images lower than 100kb. Then, upload the image as a featured image on your blog post. On your theme customizer, where you customize the look of your blogroll (archive pages), set the image on the left of the header and content, and then for the featured image settings, select "Show" and "Inherit (for the featured image dimension)". Hope this helps! 😊

    Jack,
    This is one of if not the best tutorials on how to create a real world blog in Gutenberg that I have seen.
    There is one issue that you did not address and that is when you click on one of the links at the bottom of latest posts.
    If you click on one of the numbers to move to the next page of latest posts it takes you to the correct page but it takes you to the top of the page and you are forced to scroll down to the latest post section.
    Is there a way to fix that?

    • @JackCao
      @JackCao  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am trying to find a solution for that too. I think it requires some coding. The alternative would be to use infinite scrolling instead of pagination.

    Can we customize category pages for my blog on Kadence ... I have 3 different categories with 4 subcategories for each

  • @Ipsita_Zumrotul
    @Ipsita_Zumrotul 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    @jackcao is it possible to get rid of the content Wordpress add by default? So we don’t have the last posts section? I see in the kadencewp website blog the achieve this, they don’t have the last post section and they add the filter in the posts grid. The only way Im thinking to achieve this is if you don’t select any page in reading posts page. What do you think?

  • @serpantinthewild

    I'm thinking about purchasing a pro theme, Kadence, Astra, Generate press are all in my list.
    which pro theme do you recommend ? My site will be a mixture of content + e-commerce (digital products) type of site, and I don't wanna use any page builders, just sticking with gutenberg.

    • @JackCao
      @JackCao  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My recommendation is Kadence Pro because it is not lacking in features compared to Astra, and it is not lacking in speed as compared to Generatepress. Check out the features here: jackcao.com/kadence (use code: JCSAVE10 for a 10% discount)

    i really like your instruction on gutenberg, very helpful, but the design it need to improve. althought im an amateur on design website but I have to admit your pallete color doesnt caught me at all

    • @JackCao
      @JackCao  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Design is very subjective. The color palettes needs to be aligned with the brand. Web design is not only about flashy colors that captures the attention. It is about the brand, and the business focus. For this site, it is about simplicity and class, and hence, the boring white and black colors, with lots of white spaces.

    Thanks. Another great step by step build on kadence.
    I am wondering how you actually design. Do you layout your thoughts on paper, Adobe XD, or other before diving into kadence (or other theme)?

    • @JackCao
      @JackCao  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I draw it on paper, just the boxes I want and what should I link to. I just threw the paper away though, otherwise I can take a pic to show you. It looks like child doodling. Haha!

  • @matthewescobedo5985

    Hey Jack so for the site speed on your sites do all of them have a cache plugin to put it into the 90's? Or do you have siteswith not cache plugin in the 90's?

    • @JackCao
      @JackCao  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will only install a caching plugin if it uses "heavy" gutenberg blocks like, sliders, video embeds, etc. Normally, sites that were built with gutenberg blocks "lightweight" will usually get a 90+ rating.

    • @matthewescobedo5985
      @matthewescobedo5985 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JackCao thanks! For some reason when I build them w/o those "heavy" blocks you are talking about I have around 85 or so, not horrible but would have to use a cache plugin for all the CSS to get it to 95 or so. The hosting isn't an issue. Will keep trying to figure it out, but good to know that you can get 90 without it.
