Hi Adam Thank you for another great video. I looked at the Kadence Theme and Blocks when you started talking about them a few months ago and bought the Kadence Lifetime licence, I looked at Gutenberg about 16 months ago and thought this is not going to be as good as Beaver Builder and Elementor, but over the last few weeks, I have played with Kadence, and with the new Kadence Pro and it has blown my mind with the quality theme and plugin Kadence have given us. I have noticed the bloat that some of our sites have gained using Beaver and Elementor. We are now looking at rebuilding our websites with Kadence and Gutenberg. This is such a useful video - thank you! Might be your best on the Kadence theme yet. This literally has everything on my wish list - I'm not sure if the elements or mega menu is better! I can't wait to dive in. I'm currently using a very heavy theme builder and when I changed hosts last month, Imagify seemed to stop doing it's thing and my site now has an F speed score. Cool. I'm an artist, so we're talking about a lot of images of paintings. Thank you again for all of your recommendations in these videos. I've been taking notes and will put them into practice in the next couple of weeks. You're the BEST!
Oh so glad you liked the video. I think I personally have improved my video style this year, which was much-needed :-). That's odd about Imagify breaking down. They do have support you can reach out to.
Adam, the Kadence theme looks really nice, but why do the fonts "jump" from serif to sans-serif when the page first loads (I find that really distracting). Neve doesn't seem to do this, for example.

Hi Adam interesting video again, thx. - If I only work with Elementor and Elementor Pro, is it faster with Kadence, compared to the Hello theme. I guess not, because in Hello there is simply nothing in,... am i right from your Opinion?
Did you mention the kadence block library that is used to build all the gutenberg starter templates for the kadence theme? I think the kadence block library is the one to beat right now (genesis, generateblocks, qubely, stackable, and kioken being solid runners-up). I don't even put Astra's ultimate addons for Gutenberg in the top 5 and you have my number one right in your hands here!
I was going to purchase the Kadence membership but I have just found out It is not possible to select "post format" i.e video, image etc, when creating a post. I currently use Generatepress Pro and use the video post format. I do this so users, in a membership site, are able to easily watch videos on the posts page, blogroll, without needing to click through to the post. As Kadence doesn't make the post format option available is there a plugin that can replicate this? I was hoping to switch to Kadence as I am adding a store to my membership site and Kadence makes WooCommerce customization much simpler than what would be involved in customizing with Generatepress.
Is there a way to add a "Buy Now" and "Add to Cart" button side by side on woocommerce with this theme? I don't want to add another plug in to achieve this but I am using cartflows, was wondering if there is a code snippet to add to achieve this? Thanks!
wow Kadence is better than I thought - amazing, although I still think there is a case for hello theme as its nice to have OEM software for simple sites that dont need the extra from Kadence. For everything else, Kadence is most definitely innovating the most and the best theme out there.
Adam, I missed the lifetime deal, however, still went in and purchased. My question to you is since I am using EP Pro, would it be better to utilize the global colors and font assignments from Elementor or rely on Kadence? I am thinking would be better from a styling perspective in trying to do a style guide, however, I would like your input on that subject if you would please.
Until Elementor lets a theme assign the colors, I recommend setting them in the theme and in Elementor. I suspect in the future that Elementor will allow themes to set them which will be ideal.
Great video. Honestly I’m scared to make the jump. I’ve put so much time into learning Elementor. And I hate the Gutenberg interface. Can both Elementor and Kadence be used together in an efficient way?
Yes, you will just lose some performance because of Elementor, meaning you may have to do a little more optimization and work than you would with WP + Gutenberg + Kadence alone
Hi Adam! Thanks for the video. If you're using Kadence with Elementor, are you using the color palette from the theme and turning off colors in Elementor? Something that drives me a bit bonkers is Elementor sometimes using the fonts and colors set within Elementor and sometimes not.
This is a great question. I am hopeful that Elementor will enable a theme to configure the global color palette in Elementor. When this happens everything will seamlessly be in sync. For now it is best to set the colors in the 2 locations.
@@WPCrafterthanks for your reply! Do you deactivate Elementor's global colors and fonts, or do you use both the theme Elementor controls (theme for non-Elementor pages; Elementor for Elementor-edited pages)?
Phlox is garbage. Neve, its alright but all the features are knock offs from other themes, they don't do anything original. And the don't hide i either.
Do you really consider phlox garbage? As a designer it's my best theme for design purposes, I own all the pro versions of the mentioned themes and I'm about to buy kadence as well, but except loading speed why don't you like phlox? And what is your number one theme, curious to know.
Aha thanks a lot for explaining, i agree especially that it takes up to 7s to load sometimes, neve on the other hand is faster and very stable in my experience. Thanks again for the replies. 😊
Any idea how one would create hamburger menu that would reside in the header and when selected it would produce a menu that appears from the left side of the screen?
Thank you, Adam, for the amazing video. I am using the free version of Kadence for two of my sites, and I am almost ready to buy the Pro edition. Do you believe that the Lifetime Kadence Membership is a good option? Also, correct me if I am wrong, I understood from the video that you propose to use Kadence to build the header and the footer of the website and not Elementor. Do you know if Kadence supports conditional headers (for example different header based on the page)?
Its a great deal, especially at this discounted price, it won't be this low ever again. And yea, I personally never got into using Elementor Pro to make headers, I still prefer a theme for that. As far as conditional headers, it's coming in the next 30 days. It's a bit of work because they are bringing their header builder into Gutenberg :-)
Hey Adam, Great content as usual. I'm liking the look of the animated presentations you've been using lately. What tool are you using for your presentations?
Hey Adam, great content as always! I'm wondering if you think it's worth it to purchase the full Kadence membership and use Kadence pro blocks instead of Elementor Pro? I already have Elementor Pro, so maybe I should just buy the Kadence theme and customize using Elementor? My use-case is building sites for service-based businesses, and membership sites. Thanks!
Yea I stopped using Astra a year ago. Well its not the best anymore, not by a long shot, but if it meets your current needs, you should continue to use it. But for me, its lacking even the most fundamental thing in globally linked colors, something that is if the free Kadence Theme.
@@WPCrafter thanks a lot. although i've been using it for more than a year, i'm always open to new themes and plugins, so i'll give kadence a try and play around in a staging. thanks again!
I’m ready to buy but am not sure if I need only the pro theme or if I need the more pricy membership that includes the plugins, etc. I’m not exactly sure which of the items in your demo require only the theme or require their plugins. I’m already familiar with and have an Elementor Pro subscription and am not big on Gutenberg. With that said, would it be redundant for me buying the Kadence pro theme? Thanks for any input.
Adam, I starting building with the astra theme and have integrated all the downloads you recommended (elementor, woocommerce, cartflow etc). As a novice I continue to watch your videos and it seems that I am now on the horns of a dilemma. I want the easy design elements I see in kadence pro AND the social networking in BuddyBoss...I have watched your comparison video and it looks like BuddyBoss also has enhanced "easier" design elements (easy is important to me as a novice), SO, if I change from Astra to one of the others will it require substantial re-formatting? If I change to BuddyBoss for the features I am looking for will I find the site building features as easy and robust as Kadence? Thanks for all the great info you put out.
unless im doing something wrong here.. I downloaded the theme and used startertemplate but I can not change the logo. Is this something you guys are also experience?
Hey Adam, the only feature i actually liked is the integrated mega menu, it is more stable that way to have your mega menus manged by the theme I'll definitely add it to my main themes. I have a little question tho, do you know any option to have the same kinda feature for a full screen menu integrated into a theme and editable via elementor ? Because doing so with elementor pop ups is very unstable and sometimes it works only on desktop and it gets blocked by ads blockers as well. My main themes currently are ( phlox pro, neve pro, be theme, deep and many others) and the only solution i could find is menus by 3rd party devs ( bonfire menus which are great but not ready to customize with page builders). Thanks a lot.
HELP!!! I am trying to add trending news in the header of Kadence but I'm having problems.... Is it possible to do this in Kadence? I am so very frustrwated! Can you please help me? Thanks
Not really, hooks have been around since the beginning of time. The interface for hooks is what FIRST came to Astra, then GeneratePress and OceanWP copied it. What Kadence Theme has done is 10X better, with allowing Gutenberg content, adding the device conditions, the fixed option, the fixed on scroll option, and the big one expiration. You only get that with Kadence Pro.
HI Adam, I am setting up LearnDash with BuddyBoss. I want the Buddy Boss for the social networking. Can I go with Kadence Blocls and do without Elementor completely? I am not sure if I understand enough about how these all play together. If most of my page design is coming from LearnDash and BuddyBoss then what do I need Elementor for if I have Kadence Blocks. And do I need Kadence Pro if I don't use it as a theme - just for page builder functions.
Hi ! Great video ! I want to ask what's the best page builder to use with Kadence theme in your opinion ? (apart from Kadence Blocks Pro) Thanks ! Keep going !
The membership plugins are great. Kadence Blocks Pro is going to have v2 released early next year. They are adding a new plugin to the membership this year, it will be just like Elementor Popups, but full-featured with analytics and split testing. All that is going to be in the membership.
Both have free versions, I suggest you test both and see what works best for you. I have a few wordpress websites now and I use buddyboss and the free kadence for them.
Just from the first seconds of watching - even if it has nothing to do with the content: the colours in this video are much better than in the older vids! That light but strange yellowish tint to the skin tone is gone. Much more natural now!
I have really been working on perfecting my setup. It’s encouraging to read that you see it. I am certainly not a pro with the cameras and the million settings in them.
@@WPCrafter You're welcome. You've given me some great insights into WordPress and especially Elementor in the past, so I'm glad to help (in however a small way)!
@wpcrafter.com Hi Adam. What is the difference between Kadence pro and use of a Genesis theme? Which is easier to modify using Beaver Builder? Just asking your opinion
Genesis is not easy to use at all. It's mainly targeted to developers that like to hand code custom functions, custom CSS, and custom hooks. If that's you, you will love it. It sure as heck isn't me though :-). Essentially everything you saw in this video, Genesis doesn't have.
Adam, just purchased the Kadence pro version through your link :) Unable to install the theme. The package could not be installed. "The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet." Any ideas? Contacted support but haven't heard back. Was hoping to use and work with it over the weekend. :(
What are your thoughts on Kadence and Elementor? I’m researching this theme and found an interesting conclusion statement of a comparison of Kadence and Astra. “ If you like Elementor then go for Astra. If you like Gutenberg then go for Kadence.” Do you agree?
Nope, Elementor is crap and add too many shitcodes who slow down any websites. Kadence blocks, Generatepress blocks or any Gutenberg blocks plugins are by far better and do the same job
OK, I'm sold on the Kadence theme. What are your thoughts on the lifetime Kadence membership, can you recommend it as well? Is Kadence Blocks Pro worth it?
It's totally worth every penny. Kadence Blocks v2 is coming out early next year and they are adding another plugin to the membership this year that will make the value go up.
Hey Peter, yes I believe so if you are using their theme and their builder. Its something you will start seeing everywhere over the next 24 months. Elementor just added it as well.
Looks amazing. Especially the menu. Do you think the menu would be compatible with WPML? I would say yes, but interested if anyone can tell me if it is or not
Webflow is very interesting. The main con is there is no 3rd part plugins, so it just is what it is, there is not much more you can do other than fancy brochure websites.
As Graham Hoffman says, 'Perfect timing' for me too. I was just about to spend money on another paid theme that would only be good for 1 site but now I can put that toward this fantastic theme once for all time on unlimited sites. No brainer for me. And BTW Adam, I live in MT too, about 60 miles south of Missoula. That's where we go when we go to town. Thanx much for a great video. You are one of the very few people out there worth following. Lastly, I was looking for an opportunity to buy thru your link but you said nothing about that. Is because you don't have a connection with them. If you do, I want to help you out here. Let me know, please ...
Yea this theme is here at the right time. I love the innovation. In the video description I do have a referral link. I am working to bring a training course on Kadence products that I will give to all the buyers for free.
I don't personally make a lot of websites :-). People are already sharing their websites in the Kadence Facebook Group facebook.com/groups/webcreatorcommunity
This was an amazing overview Adam! I have been looking for a more functional theme to pull in hooks, other than the other themes that are out there. Kadence's flow makes more sense in how it should be delivered to those developing a site. I will definitely be taking advantage of the lifetime deal very soon!
Excellent video.. Might as well spend another hour doing full website showing it how is done 😉 But what happens now to Astra? This looks great since it has so many options, clean and easy to use
If Kadence team can add a religious / church template to its starter templates. That'd be a game changer. Adam, could you let them know on this? Thanks
Try clearing/Purging Cache. eg., WP Rocket... etc... Also open the site in a Private window or Incognito Mode to make sure browser cache is not to be blamed.
Thank you so much for this! Purchase seems like a no-brainer. Would love to see a video comparing Elementor Pro with Kadence Blocks Pro...that might swing me to the Full Lifetime Membership. Can KB Pro replace Elementor Pro??
I am with you on that, this theme is the best that has ever come out. Regarding comparing Elementor Pr to Kadence Blocks, that is a great idea. I will say right off the bat that there are things that only come in an advanced page building tool like Elementor. For example absolute positioning and motion animations, I don't use these, but those are not in Kadence Blocks. Also you are not getting dynamic content, but I imagine this will change in the next 6 months. On the other side, Kadence Blocks makes effortless fast websites, much faster than Elementor.
@@WPCrafter Hey you said motion animations are not in Kadence Blocks Pro, but on their pricing table it says it has On Scroll Animation. Or did you mean something else? PS I too would love a comparison between the two builders
hi i am going to buy this to get a discount on some of your courses. I am not a developer but i have alot of websites for myself i want to build. Thanks
I invested in a lifetime license of OceanWp before even trying it a couple years ago. Big mistake. It’s a confusing mess, many of it’s features don’t even work properly(like the simple act of adding a logo), they don’t add new templates, and all of the sites I create with it are very slow despite caching enabled and proper approaches. I’m going to give this Kadence a try. Thanks for the in depth demo. OceanWP... get your shit together and fix the wonky interface and broken functionalities that your customers have been complaining about for years.
Hmm intresting .. i was hoping for something really new.. My way to making website since Elementor switch is .. having a theme that has basicly nothing .. and doing everything with elementor and Crocoblocks... sofar everything can be done what i want.. the only problem i sometimes have is getting the best page speed.
@@WPCrafter What would be great .. but i think a lot of work is... a page speed comparsion between using elementor pro, etc vs the Default option from Theme.. ( for example the mega menu , footers.. etc ) that would be intressing
Welp, it's practical I suppose for footers but hell no for headers. You need header specific blocks which don't really exist. Then you need it to specifically have a different set of options for mobile. So no, there ain't no one making headers for GP with their Elements feature. Also, they don't have a globally linked color palette that integrates throughout the theme and Gutenberg itself. They just don't.

Yes, I do agree that if you use Elementor Pro and are going to make a brochure website, then yes Hello.
Great tutorial. Do you know if this theme would work well with CPT / Custom Post Types to have different a custom layout for each post type? Thanks!
Thanks. It was really helpful.
Hi Adam
Well presented . And you have layout the merits very clearly, thank you again.

Thanks Adam. I know that’s a downside of page builders. But I’m pretty good at speed optimizing them so I’ll give Kadence Pro a go. :-)
You can just as easily use Kadence Theme with Elementor just like you use any other theme with Elementor.
was going to request video on kadence pro & before i ask here it is :)
Perfect timing ;-)
@@pandaosa9 I would set them in both locations, the theme and in Elementor. It should only take you an extra 2 - 3 minutes.
Where did you go to add the element in the pop out cart?
Is there any video tutorials and demos for all features?
Yes on their TH-cam channel.
Aw another question, between kadence pro neve pro and phlox pro which do you recommend the most as a future proof theme?
Phlox is garbage. Neve, its alright but all the features are knock offs from other themes, they don't do anything original. And the don't hide i either.
Do you really consider phlox garbage? As a designer it's my best theme for design purposes, I own all the pro versions of the mentioned themes and I'm about to buy kadence as well, but except loading speed why don't you like phlox? And what is your number one theme, curious to know.
The code quality, was not referring to any of their designs. The code is poor and has lots of issues.
Aha thanks a lot for explaining, i agree especially that it takes up to 7s to load sometimes, neve on the other hand is faster and very stable in my experience.
Thanks again for the replies. 😊
I guess if you snooze, you lose. Their special is no longer active. Do you know if they'll be running any new specials before the first of the year?
There will be a black friday sale.
@@WPCrafter TY !!
@@WPCrafter this is why I'm really happy with all this - just this + gutenberg. No other layers needed to make amazing sites.
Hey Adam,
Great content as usual. I'm liking the look of the animated presentations you've been using lately. What tool are you using for your presentations?
Thanks! Its just a presentation program. I use a Mac so I use the free Keynote app, but if I was on a PC I would use a powerpoint.
@@WPCrafter Thanks for the quick response!! Much appreciated!!
It looks really good. Thanks again!! 😃😃👍👍
Thanks!
Hi Adam. Is Astra not the best option anymore? I chose Astra more than a year ago after watching a tutorial made by you. Thanks for your thouthgs
Yea I stopped using Astra a year ago. Well its not the best anymore, not by a long shot, but if it meets your current needs, you should continue to use it. But for me, its lacking even the most fundamental thing in globally linked colors, something that is if the free Kadence Theme.
@@WPCrafter thanks a lot. although i've been using it for more than a year, i'm always open to new themes and plugins, so i'll give kadence a try and play around in a staging. thanks again!
this theme is good for bloger website?
I’m ready to buy but am not sure if I need only the pro theme or if I need the more pricy membership that includes the plugins, etc. I’m not exactly sure which of the items in your demo require only the theme or require their plugins.
I’m already familiar with and have an Elementor Pro subscription and am not big on Gutenberg. With that said, would it be redundant for me buying the Kadence pro theme? Thanks for any input.
It depends if you want their current and future plugins. If not, the theme is all you need.
What about AVADA theme can we have a Comparison ?
You won't find many Avada fans here. Its old, outdated, expensive, bloated.
Go into the customizer -> header section, scroll down to the transparent header section.
Yes make sure you are changing the right one. All websites have 2, the normal logo and if a transparent header is being used, a logo for that.
Thanks
The hooks elements was firstly implemented in GeneratePress and OceanWP.
@@WPCrafter Agree. Kadence Pro hooks a way more advanced.
(apart from Kadence Blocks Pro)
Thanks !
Keep going !
I would say Elementor because its the most well rounded. You most likely wouldn't even need Elementor Pro.
@@WPCrafter Thanks !
Does elementor work with it?
Oh yea. Better then any other theme on the market. You will be in a new video going live in 2 hours exactly why. Yes
Great presentation! How did you insert yourself as a blurb!
Awesome video as always! Am deciding between Kadence pro and Kadence membership. Have u tried their plugins from Kadence membership? Is it good?
The membership plugins are great. Kadence Blocks Pro is going to have v2 released early next year. They are adding a new plugin to the membership this year, it will be just like Elementor Popups, but full-featured with analytics and split testing. All that is going to be in the membership.
@@WPCrafter nice! Thanks for giving the heads up. Really helps me to make the decision.
For setting up a LearnDash site should I go with this or with Astra?
Both have free versions, I suggest you test both and see what works best for you. I have a few wordpress websites now and I use buddyboss and the free kadence for them.
I can't think of one reason to use Astra over Kadence.
@@WPCrafter Pro or Membership version? (Do the extra features give anything beneficial for an online course site?).
@@toddtrapani7395 Well it depends if you are into the WordPress block builder, the membership includes Kadence Blocks Pro.
"The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet."
Any ideas? Contacted support but haven't heard back. Was hoping to use and work with it over the weekend. :(
That because Kadence Pro is a plugin to extend the Kadence Theme :-). Just install it as a plugin.
Hey, doesn't seem to work with some CPT plugins. Best for building purely in Gutenberg
What do you mean? Unlike other themes, Kadence Theme will know when you are using a CPT and offer you customization options.
@@WPCrafter just tested it today by switching my current theme to Kadence and I lost the styling on all the pages that were created through CPT
@@WPCrafter I guess I can ask them to look into it because I'm a big fan of the theme and it's potential. I can share a link if you want
@@rodlivz When was the last time you use it?
What's your take on the the Elementor 3 Theme Builder vs Cadene / Pro?
In the next 2 weeks you will see some deep integration with Elementor 3's global color system.
@@WPCrafter Thanks for the reply Adam!
great video sir. sharing is caring.. Ive been using hello theme and am not really happy about speed. Maybe i'll give this theme a try.
Doesn't Thrive Theme have the Global Color Pallet?
Hey Peter, yes I believe so if you are using their theme and their builder. Its something you will start seeing everywhere over the next 24 months. Elementor just added it as well.
Looks amazing. Especially the menu. Do you think the menu would be compatible with WPML? I would say yes, but interested if anyone can tell me if it is or not
It might be already, but I don't know for sure.
Adam, what about Webflow? Do you like?
Webflow is very interesting. The main con is there is no 3rd part plugins, so it just is what it is, there is not much more you can do other than fancy brochure websites.
As
Graham Hoffman says, 'Perfect timing' for me too.
@@WPCrafter Hi Adam. I did purchase with your link and am looking forward to the training course :)
Adam, can you do a comparison between free Kadence and free Generate Press theme?
I thought I did in the video :-). See the table of contents where I covered it.
Id love to see your portfolio using these themes
I don't personally make a lot of websites :-). People are already sharing their websites in the Kadence Facebook Group facebook.com/groups/webcreatorcommunity
WpCrafter... If you don’t create websites usingthe tools you recommend, then how can you be certain they hold up and are reliable long term?
This theme sounds too good to be true. 🤯
😀
This was an amazing overview Adam! I have been looking for a more functional theme to pull in hooks, other than the other themes that are out there. Kadence's flow makes more sense in how it should be delivered to those developing a site. I will definitely be taking advantage of the lifetime deal very soon!
Excellent video.. Might as well spend another hour doing full website showing it how is done 😉
But what happens now to Astra? This looks great since it has so many options, clean and easy to use
If Kadence team can add a religious / church template to its starter templates. That'd be a game changer. Adam, could you let them know on this? Thanks
It’s coming.
Adam for the President:)
I changed to this theme from Hello Elementor, but nothing happened, and nothing happens when I change things in this new theme
@@mattshoesmith5201 Yea Kadence Blocks does have that, but I was more referring to motion not on scroll.
hi i am going to buy this to get a discount on some of your courses. I am not a developer but i have alot of websites for myself i want to build. Thanks
I am making a course around Kadence Theme that will be freely offered to people that purchased Kadence Theme Pro.
Jeez. This theme does really seem awesome. Could lose a ton of time messing with it
It's really easy to use and it makes as website more "maintainable" with the global color palette.
Vertical menu?
This is something most themes don't have, Kadence included. I'll ask them if it is in their plans to add it.
Thanks and Shana tova I bought yesterday and made sure to use your subscription link
YOU MADE ME BUY IT!!!! DAMN ITS GOOD!
Woah wait that's my name lol it's so weird to be hearing my name over and over
Hahaha noice
I invested in a lifetime license of OceanWp before even trying it a couple years ago. Big mistake. It’s a confusing mess, many of it’s features don’t even work properly(like the simple act of adding a logo), they don’t add new templates, and all of the sites I create with it are very slow despite caching enabled and proper approaches.
I’m going to give this Kadence a try. Thanks for the in depth demo. OceanWP... get your shit together and fix the wonky interface and broken functionalities that your customers have been complaining about for years.
Yea I think OWP blew a good thing.
Hmm intresting .. i was hoping for something really new.. My way to making website since Elementor switch is .. having a theme that has basicly nothing .. and doing everything with elementor and Crocoblocks... sofar everything can be done what i want.. the only problem i sometimes have is getting the best page speed.
Yea that is a common complaint with Elementor, page speed.
@@WPCrafter What would be great .. but i think a lot of work is... a page speed comparsion between using elementor pro, etc vs the Default option from Theme.. ( for example the mega menu , footers.. etc ) that would be intressing
Generatepress gets new hooks and you can build headers and footers with generateblocks. With php you can put your own colour palette in
Welp, it's practical I suppose for footers but hell no for headers. You need header specific blocks which don't really exist. Then you need it to specifically have a different set of options for mobile. So no, there ain't no one making headers for GP with their Elements feature. Also, they don't have a globally linked color palette that integrates throughout the theme and Gutenberg itself. They just don't.
The header designer looks like its the same as Flatsome theme
Yea they were the originators of the idea many years ago.
