I just finished playing Timespinner 1 and enjoyed it. I can already see some major improvments in the art for T2, particularly the character portraits and some of the environmental features. Looking forward to it!

I loved the first game. Metroidvanias have become one of my favorite genres. I will pick this one up.
Was a backer of the first game! While i liked the bosses and gameplay, the level design was really too simple, and the main gimmick of time was barely used
hopefully they can improve on both of these points for the sequel!
Also happy jeff ball is back, his music were fantastic and easily the best point of the game for me!
The first one seemed like it had a lot of potential.. It did some things exceptionally well, while falling short in others. Taking the foundations of what made the first one so good, and expanding on those will likely result in a classic... if they learned what worked and what didn't. Cautiously hopeful.

I’ve tuned into some of the development streams and it’s cool to see some of the spriting being done. The first game is somewhat of a hidden gem so I can’t wait to see more:D

I played Timespinner for the first time last week. Finished normal mode, nightmare mode and now I'm almost finishing nightmare mode capped at level 1. Only con is that the game is too short, I hope this one is longer.
I have the first game on switch did not know there was a sequel now.

Seeing familiars giving movement upgrades makes me optimistic, the first one was a bit lackluster in giving proper 'upgrades', it did a lot of keys or glorified keys. It still had a good basic foundation it was working on, though, and I don't regret backing it. I do hope the story is given a bit more proofreading this time, there was some weird dissonance between the in game actions of characters and some of the backstory journal pages. Didn't ruin the experience, but it did make figuring out exactly what was going on behind the scenes a tad confusing.
SO PUMPED the first game was absolutely amazing. Will be screaming about this to everyone the second I can play it

Super hyped, Timespinner was an instant fave and this sequel certainly looks like it has more ambitous ganeplay.
After seeing the trailer i'm starting to imagine reacting the same way to this sequel as to the mind-blowing movement advance in Ori and the Will of the Wisps compared to Blind Forest.
Okay, sequel to one of the better Metroidvania's of its time, which is saying something, as there are some really good ones out there. The story was well paced, and with some interesting ideas to it given the duel time gameplay, though sadly only had the vines as direct interaction between the two eras other than bosses.
Beyond that, the crystal system, and the upgrades found therein were fantastic designwise, as they offered quite a lot of customization to how you played, with arguments to be made that the 'best' varied by playstyle, allowing the player to discover what they enjoyed most and play with that(for instance I mained the Lightning Orbs, with Light Wall spell for movement).
It also came with good difficulty mods for the various modes it offered, which went up high, but offered rewards for playing on the higher difficulties, and offered the player the ability to, if they got stuck, grind past the worst bits, with some bonus challenges after unlocking everything if you really wanted to challenge yourself.
The pets appear to be improved in this one, if the trailer is any indication. A good thing, because while the dragon and its many forms were interesting as an idea, they oftentimes did too little to impact gameplay, even if you bothered to grind them to max level in the final pyramid they simply didn't fire rapidly enough or do enough damage per hit, and their other effects were not really obvious(The Crow raised money, and it DID work, but it was also not really up there enough).
Anyway, enough rambling, I look forward to playing with this one again, and am curious if you'll establish an ending, or if this is going to be a new timeline entirely.

0:58 Ah, good ol' Castlevania pogo jumping... something I missed in the first game (although stopping time to climb on the enemies kind of made up for it).
I already like the extra focus on the platforming. I loved the first Timespinner so much, I have a save file with Lunais at LV255, all Familiars at LV100 and all Orbs at LV999. Can't wait for the sequel.
