    I'm not sure how this is going to play out.... I was expecting the redcat to be a lot cheaper than a MST RTR.
    Mst's come with much nicer shells, and wheels by the looks of it. Without the need to spend 200$ for mechanical grip improvement...
    I would have expected the RDS to start at 299 to be honest.

      I’m doing this well on stock motor and esc though too. Didn’t get that from an mst. Wheels are cheap so no sense holding those accountable and as far as the shell, new drivers rarely hold onto their original shells that long. We (me and our track) are really pushing this car to make it as competitive as anything else on our track. While that cost more then the ready to run, it’s now competing with cars that cost over $1200 and we are right around 1/2 that cost…

    I’m honestly just getting into drift RC cars. Do you have any suggestions !!??? I’m used to traxxas with bashing and full sending the shit out of em Lmfao. But I love these drift RC. Unfortunately no one local has a drift track but I want and need to get into this. My only downfall is that I love seeing these things scaled with the wheels and body’s !! Now what would you suggest ?? For a hood beginner but fully customizable ??

      @@ScaleScience did a little more digging into it. I think ima start with the Tt-02d kit. Due to not being able to get ahold of the mst kit anywhere.

      @@spoopdiewoopdie8092 I’d atleast go rwd to start. Get a Yokomo kit, redcat or even a reve d rdx. Great entry cars!

    Did you have any luck with the front wheel Bearings... they seem stiff and don't roll freely and when you snug up the wheel nut and not even tighten it down you can see the wheel doesn't want to roll freely at all?

    • @ScaleScience
      @ScaleScience  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Common issue on factory bearings. Clean and oil them! Should be g2g after that

    • @TCCustoms06
      @TCCustoms06 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Scale Science I don't have bearing oil.... what would be an alternative ?

    • @TCCustoms06
      @TCCustoms06 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Scale Science and thanks for the videos, I've watched all your videos on this car and of course after posting this I saw you mention the bearings but I'm hoping to come up with a better solution. I think I'm gonna try serated nylon locking wheel nuts

    • @ScaleScience
      @ScaleScience  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TCCustoms06 the nuts wouldn’t be causing it to stick. Most factory besrings are coated with almost a waxy grease to keep them from rusting in transit and while stored. Best bet is to clean them and re-oil. Order yourself some good bearing lube and it’ll likely last you forever. If you don’t want to do that, buy new bearings.

    why are you guys running the shocks upside down?

    • @joserifaie
      @joserifaie ปีที่แล้ว

      From my understanding it helps with making the weight mass of the shock low to the chassis and also help to reduce the chance of a leaking orings could be another reasons too but i dont know
