Fact is: Telugu was the 3rd most spoken language in India after Hindi and Bengali until early 2000s. But after 2011 census unfortunately our Telugu language ranking has fallen to 4th position from 3rd position.
Only if we and our next generation takes pride of our language and have a respect towards our language, then the language will survive. Or else the language will keep reducing the way it got fallen to 4th place from 3rd.
Thank you Ashris for making us feel proud of our Telugu language.
It is mostly because of the telangana regions Muslim who now consider urdu as their native language even though it originated in North India and is atleast somewhat foreign to telugu

Telugu Avadhanam is much more complicated than what you have mentioned here in this video. Not just with 8 people, but there are scholars and poets of the language like Garikipati Narasimha Rao garu, Madugula Nagaphani Sharma, Vaddiparthi Padmakar to this day who have performed almost miraculously 🤯feats by doing it with not just 8 but rather 100 and even 1000 scholars at a stretch. Each poem composed in real time without any pen and paper adhering to all the poetic rules of "chandas" and memorizing all 1000 poems. And tell out loud all the 1000 poems in sequential order to that particular scholar who has given him the challenge is considered almost miraculous. It is considered that only those who are blessed by Ma Saraswathi can do something like that. Telugu Avadhams are so popular that they have even been done in the USA.🤩
Very happy that you have mentioned it, hope avadhanam culture grow back

@@Anu27906 National Archive here in NL. During the Raj, indentured contracts were created in which place of origin such as districts and village names, family names and caste are mentioned.
Most Indendentured Indians from South Indian were sent to other British colonies but Nothernn Indians, especially after 1870, were sent to Dutch colonies such as Suriname. There exist many more migrations to different parts in the world from India, India and China have beside Europe one of the largest migrations that ever existed in the world.
What most people don´t know is that inbetween colonies Indians used to migrate back to India or to other Colonies so after mixing with other Indians from other Indian states, the mixed Indians in the colonies moved either back to India (Raj) or moved to other countries/ states.
In my case, a Tamil and Telugu ancestor met each other in Suriname after moving from Guyana and settled in Suriname. In Suriname most Hindostani's are from UP and Bihar but a large minority are Bangla, Punjabi, Kashmiri and even Afghan. So beacause the dominant Indians were from UP and Bihari, in Suriname the other languages than Hindostani dissapeared and over time Sarnami was formed, a creole language based on Awadhi and Bojpuri!!!

And one more thing we don't force anyone to learn our language😅.
We don't fear telugu will die. Because it won't die.
It feels so good to speak in telugu that our new generations will feel bored to speak in english/hindi and switch back to telugu even if its imposed
And telugu movie industry and meme community will preserve telugu
Yeah insecure people are only afraid because they know their langauge has no support from either meme community nor film
@@RajatG69not like that😅
They also have support bro
But they fear their language will die for some reason.
@@maheshguptha9796I would also emphasize our soft power, particularly through Telugu movies and music. If we continue to create more creative films and excel in the creative field, Telugu people, who are already prominent in IT , can further demonstrate their soft power. Telugus have that soft power.
As someone from East that was also the reason I started to learn it, ( also malayalam ) , but due to not having proper guidance I stopped in mid, but one day i will surely learn it. Also I find that general Telugu people are very helpful compared to other states of South, especially women ( personal experience, my brother became extremely sick when he moved to hyderabad for job in TCS he was in ICU for 6 days and my parents has to visit them there was this girl she helped my mother a lot from asking for food( they didn't take but asking was enough) to consoling her, we are from bihar , and my mother is not very outgoing we are also not very rich but her kind nature made me like telugu people a lot.
some of our own younger generation people are unwilling to learn our language. Show them this video, they fell in love with Telugu.
Thanks for your research and hardwork 🙏

As a Maharashtrian i love telugu movies. Telugu cinema is the true indian cinema and would surely surpass bollywood with the way bollywood is falling. This video on the release day of KALKI adds more meaning to the Telugu language and why it unites North and South in truest sense. Sending love ❤ to all Telugu people out there !
Just curious, if you’re a Maharastrian then how did you understand हिन्दी from the video?
…because I as an ethnic Hindi from UP find it quite hard to understand Marathi (or any language besides possibly 🇵🇰Urdu) just from Hindi!
@@AchyutChaudhary Maharashtrians in general are multilingual. Many people from north Maharashtra can speak Marathi hindi gujrathi, many from West Maharashtra can speak Marathi, konkani, many from south Maharashtra can speak Marathi, kannada, Telugu (in border areas).
This is the problem with ppl like u is Bollywood a Chinese or Korean industry?? It is also a part of Indian film industry yes there should be a healthy competition but why hate the whole industry ?

As a Telugu person and a linguistics enthusiast, I think this video has covered some great points. I like how you showed the part where Shri Krishnadevaraya says "Desha bhashalandu Telugu lessa." I kind of had goosebumps watching that.
Lmao when you showed Bucciarati captioned arrivederci the JOJO fan in me screamed.
I appreciate the comparison with the English origin-evolution pyramid, by the way.
I've mostly seen people(Telugu) think Telugu is purely a Sanskrit derived language and get mildly confused(or surprised, if you will) when they listen to similar words in Tamil/Malayalam/Kannada.
It's great that you've shown the different dialects/variants of Telugu too.
Thank you for mentioning Nannaya, Tikkana and Errana.
I'm surprised you noticed the "Dz" sound that comes from words with "Ja" not many Telugu people say it that way and even the right usage of "Bandi ra" or the Tamil "Zh" sound. Also, the "Rrr" sound is perhaps from the time when Obsolete letters were used, we have a bunch of them.
I've been to Chaitanya for my 11th-12th and man idk what to say about you mentioning it.
Sorry for the unnecessary yapping but I really am going to hold this video close to me because, growing up, I despised Telugu, did not appreciate the value of learning my mother tongue. I felt irritated that my texbooks were written in absolute formal language which I hated learning. Even after around 2019 when our texbooks finally were written in Telangana Dialect, I just hated the fact that I kept failing in a subject that is part of my blood, having people who are exceptionally amazing at Telugu literature gave me even more guilt. It was when I finished schooling and entered college that I delved deeper into Indian Linguistics and seen how much I've neglected Telugu. Thank you for making me see it lol, I needed it. I guess it's perhaps, slightly embarrasing that it took me 19 years of existence to start loving my language and being this proud of it.
Again, apologies for the essay.
Omg are you my twin from TG or what! I had a similar trajectory of love with Telugu. Only I am a decade older than you from AP. Keep up the love for our తల్లినుడి.
Same here bro. Naku kuda Telugu ki unna value teliyaledu, ippudu chala garvanga undi Telugu lo matladinanduku

The first time, when I heard some of the telgu songs on repeat, I could start singing the song lyrics after some time. Telgu is musical indeed 🎼

*People call తెలుగు as the “Italian of the East” - when it should be the other way round given that Telugu has more speakers than 🇮🇹Italian!*
Telugu is also a lot older than Italian.
Largest that Telugu is older than Italian 🤣
italian is the telugu of the west
So, Italian is the Telugu of the west...IKR
Telugu is called Italian of the East by Westerners because the sentences always end in vowels just like Italian. They just meant it sounds like that. It has nothing to do with Italian being superior or whatever. So calm down Telugu warriors 🎉
Telgu peoples are one of the most tolerate people in south india and they rarely get into aryan vs dravidian theory and I have never seen any telgu speaking person hating anyone who speak hindi but most of them understand hindi very well i have studied and lived in vishakhapatnam and never faced any language problem or never seen any language fanatic which we see in other three south Indian State

Telugu is the superior identity of both AP and Telangana and India is the identity that supersedes all Linguistic and regional identities,
Telling this as a fellow Indian who speaks Telugu fearing that some section of people are pitting one region against another.
I can confirm this. Whenever I spoke Telugu with other Telugu ppl in front of non Telugu speakers, I got their attention and appreciation for my language from them, like they say "what a beautiful language, its soo sweet and musical". And many, one's they hear it even a bit says, hey I know this language, you're speaking Telugu. I one's heard it. They get connected deep inside with the language Telugu, one of the most beautiful children of Samskrutham. Pls don't call it sanskrit, its our Samskrutham, the language of Sound.

As a native speaker of the Telugu language and as a student of Telugu literature i would say that you have shown immense hardwork in bringing this. More than 90% of the Telugu people are not aware of this background. This would help them to open their eyes and embrace their mother tongue with pride ...

Yes i agree
Telugu has alternative Native Telugu words too
Telugu core is Dravidian and vocabulary is influenced by Sanskrit in ancient times and English in modern times I know Telugus also know English very well because of English language influence today.
yet, telugu is not originated from sanskrit.. .though its heavily influenced by Sanskrit.. I guess yester year poets (and kings) encouraged Sanskrit words/grammar/technicalities in their work
