I love that your videos are so raw. In that I mean, you tell us straight out what you should've done instead of what you actually did, you tell us about your mistakes (cutting too short), and you guide your audiences to easier ways to sew or do certain things versus what you did to make the steps easier for us if we do decide to sew a similar piece. Thanks for making your videos so relatable and realistic because the first try is never always perfect and it shows us that pros like you still go through multiple trials and errors like us too. 😊

If you aren't a petite size, u could find a maxi skirt, cut in it half and then follow April's instructions. There's endless fabric in gathered maxi skirts at thrift stores. These tops were so wearable, loved it April!

I made a costume from an old bedsheet since at the time I was poor and couldn't go on a fabric run. I was so proud of that and now seeing stuff made out of pillowcases makes me want to give that a go too.

Wow, these tops are really cool. Very creative. I like the material You chose too. I'm a man, so I probably won't wear these :-) but You sure get some momentum towards sewing clothing for myself going. All I've sewn until now is outdoor gear, some sailboat covers and 3 covers for 3 of my 16 vintage sewing machines.... I enjoy the ease with which You seem to produce all your projects. I'm happy to discover what all of my machines are able to. Well, what one can actually do with them. :-) Apart from adjusting, oiling, freeing them up etc... Thank You for speading Joy, April!

I once made myself some summer garb out of a duvet cover. One of the only things to wear that feels nice and roomy on my body. But I'm astonished that someone can actually make themselves decent with just a half of a pillow case.
