My cousin was a huge Alanis Morissette fan. She had dreads and was a free spirit. A beautiful young woman who cared more about the earth and others than anything. She was 23 when she passed from leukemia.. I always wonder what she’d be doing today. Hearing this was a wonderful trip down memory lane.
As a male teen, I never really cared about Alanis Morissette but coming back in my late 30s I can really appreciate the music a lot more. She is a creative genius.
You're not the only one. My older sister used to jam her music all the time when she traveled for softball. I definitely have respect for her now. Very creative with her lyrics.
She was 20 when this album came out. Here I am 37 and can't put 2 words together. Way to go Alanis .. you deserve the hall of fame. You're a legend. And this song is a lesson in itself.
Listening in 2024. What amazing example of pure talent, doesn’t need to get half naked on stage, choreographed dance moves or have scantily clad backup dancers. Alanis just relies on her songwriting, her amazing voice and her awesome vibe.
@@ironman2326 there's not many albums I can listen to all the way through. Loads of albums I love but just haven't got a full album of songs that I don't skip. This is one of the rare ones that I played through to its death and still got and still play lol. R.E.M "automatic for the people" and guns n roses "appitite for destruction", are only another two I can think of I had, still got and rinsed lol and still play. Mad though I had the cassette versions of R.E.M and guns n roses which I then also bought on CD. The teenage years of no worries. Take me back.
Something I love about Alanis Morissette is that she's a fairly plain woman who bucked the trend and won purely on the basis of talent and her ability to speak to the heart. Truly an awesome person.
I think she's amazingly talented & gorgeous. Watch head over feet video... No makeup just stunning & yes you can tell that dave Colier really broke that heart... He don't seem worth it but certainly made a great muse for alanis
@John Quick seriously!!! Those eyes alone!!! Anything but plain! I actually feel in love with her before I discovered her as a singer when she played God in Dogma. I was like "who is that??? I'm in love!!!"
When you grow older and life laughs at you maniacally, this song is the only non-classical piece that comforts me; gives me courage for acceptance, to smile, make peace and move forth! The one song I hope somebody would play at my funeral; my favourite Alanis Morissette song!
I think in the video, the idea is she learned to just be herself and do what she wants, no matter what. Despite all the things she's going through and experiencing, she learns to just be herself and not care what anyone thinks of her. I really think she is a genius, but I never saw her iq tests. This album is certainly music genius, though.
Your right...We were married on , March 10, 1990, some great times we had, 33 years 4 days we were together, my Love passed away on March 14, 2020 and oh how I miss her!!! WE Live We learn and have to face life as it comes and goes>>>!!!!
During the period if my life when times was hard, my partner dying of cancer, Alanis was there for me and she didn't even know. She held my hand through times when I didn't felt I wanted to carry on. She gave me strength and allowed my emotions to flow through music. Thanks Alanis Morissette for being the perfect escape from my reality. 👏👏 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good music is timeless. The year you were born doesn't matter. Take it from someone that had similar feelings when this song came out and a similar age (I was envying my aunt for being born at a time when animation was just blossoming as an industry. I was 14 or 15.), it doesn't matter in the end. What matters is how much you enjoy it. Though if you like songs of that era, if memory serves, what was popular was Hootie and the Blowfish's "Only Wanna Be With You", Natalie Merchant's "Wonder", No Doubt's... well everything from the album Tragic Kingdom, Blues Traveler's "Run Around", Spin Doctor's "Two Princes", Green Day's "Basket Case". Hanson's "Mmmbop", Spice Girl's "Wannabe", Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise", Third Eye Blind's "Semi-charmed Kind of Life.", Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn", The Proclaimer's "I'm Gonna Be" that's about all I can think of off the top of my head. Keep in mind I'm not saying they're all good or similar, but that's what was played a lot on radios and stuff. I'm avoiding the really overplayed stuff like Brittney Speares, N'Sync and Backstreet boys and the Friend's theme "I'll be there for you".
I was in my 20s when jagged little pill came out, I truly believe it was a blessing from God to experience life in the 80s/90s, Damnit I'd give anything to go back 😢
In the late 90s and early 2000's I was a kid and I'm glad that I grew up listening good music cuz nowadays I can't even call music to all the shit that they play on the radio!
I miss the simplicity of the 90's before phones and social media made everyone zombies. We used to hang out with friends and enjoy a new album release and it was the most exciting thing in our life!
Honestly social media have divide us. I'm 30 years old now and I'm convinced the world was a better place before internet and social media. 90s music was the best and Alanis the voice of a generation
I remember in the 90's when the internet was starting to take off and my mom would say that "it's going to be the ruination of the world" and me being just a teenager then laughed her off, but now I'm 36 and I clearly see she is 100% right.
@@mikebrooks1620 is scares me that the generation we are raising now, who basically can't write by hand and can't spell without a computer helping them are going to be having their own children one day. I don't know how they will function in life when most of them aspire to get rich as a TH-camr. 🙄
I'm a 40 yr old bloke and have no shame in saying this song (and JLP as a whole) was not only a hugely formative part of my adolescence, but this song in particular is now a huge anthem in my life in general. It's taken me 40 years to understand the words she wrote when she was what, 21/22?! Crazy crazy talent I was fortunate to hear when it was released. I hail Alanis and this album as one of THE best singer-songwriters' outputs of my generation. AM and JLP will live forever, just like all of the other greats
Same here man I’m 38 I’ve loved this album since my dad bought it in 96. I’ve been saying for years she was so young back then but a good grasp of life the first song of this album all I really want has been my favorite for years
From been a kid stressing at school, to a student stressing about life to an adult stressing about work and life this song has been there all the time. Absolutely love it!
@gravenaria your perspective is always going to undergo changes. Have you kept up on anything she’s done after Jagged Little Pill up til today? I’m trying to reconnect to her, too. I like her.
a 100% true! I used to like this song mostly because I loved the melody but now as an adult, I really get the lyrics, maybe I'm not forty or more but I've lived a lot of ups and downs in my life and learned from them to be a better person and to treat people better and with empathy because if I had a bad day maybe the others had it worse or the total opposite and that's ok because that's what life is about
The cool thing about Alanis is that she wasn't established yet when she went in and recorded this album, as most of us know. So no one told her the rules, no one told her how to be a pop star, no one told her how to create such amazing music. Sure she had help, but this is so unusual for a major label debut to be THIS impactful for a newer artist on the scene. People just don't appreciate the level of preparedness Alanis had IN HER BLOOD for the work she would create in her life, specifically this whole album.
This needs to be pinned, can they do that on TH-cam?! Artists had something to SAY then. Now radio is one long loop of the same thing. Even when you hear great lyrics, the music is lacking because no one wants to be Too different. And stand out That much. I wish we had another artist to come out of the scene to wake shit up. Musically and Lyrically like Alanis did.
@bi-polarbear3885 I wasn't calling her anything except unique. I was making a point that she didn't come from a pop-star factory and have her hand held... but if you want to be realistic about it, in her peak she would be considered popular music, with strong radio and TV air time, which is the definition of pop music. It's just pop music today is so terrible that you're connecting some other feeling to the term.
@@sirbandit170 "radio and TV air time, which is the definition of pop music". I disagree with this. I would say "pop" music is music PRODUCED for TV and radio (to appeal to the masses) I wouldn't call a hip hop or R&B song that tops the charts a pop song. I'm not good with films but I would call Twilight a film "of pop music". A lot of people criticize it. I'm seeing this in the handful of comments I read; it seems the 90's were loved a lot because musicians were actually working, there was little social media/technology around. (While we're on the subject I reckon we're abbreviating terms too much)
@@PaulW4 you and I agree mostly. I think we just have a different idea of what pop music means. I think it's a combo of the industry machine, and well meaning artists who just blow up and become stars.
I cant believe its been 20 years!! This was the soundtrack to my high school years. Such a powerful album, and from a woman, which at the time, was a great achievement. Full of angst and raw emotion, it touched upon all that listens, as I did, on repeat, as we fumbled our way through first love, first heartbreak, betrayal, revelations, ambivalence and so much more. Still at the top of my list of favorite albums!!!

This album has never lost its magic. Such honest lyrics and so many great melodies. One of the best 90s albums. Alanis is a great singer and I’ve always loved her personality. Also loved her role in Dogma.
I first heard this song on the radio at 3-4 years old, but I had to come back today just to see Taylor's goofy smile when they start throwing the pies at each other. Taylor seemed like a very joyful and fun person to just spend time with. He will be dearly missed.
Yes, I agreed with your comment bruh! He was an awesome guy who brought light around he was. He was like a sunshine in the morning. He was so happy on this video clip at the end of it. I watch this video clip because of him. His smiles brings me joy every time I see it. He will be missed, of course. It breaks my heart when I watch it. Rest In a very Peace! 😢😢😢💔💔💔
I firstly knew this song when I was 14 years old. Today, I'm 35 and I realize this song helped me alot in my personal growth. I never knew before how music could help people in their lives.
@mabarker72 I'll be 39 in a couple of months and I sang most of her songs in this album with a band at a club ( I was subbing for the lead vocals who got sick) . "You oughta know" is my favorite. Good times! ❤️
I am 58 yes old. I’ve never loved Alani’s music until recently while going thru a BITCH of a break up. I have a whole new appreciation for this woman/artist. She sings what she feels and feels deeply. I am so impressed with her gut level articulation of grief, rage, outrage, pain and revenge fueled feelings. Thank you A
When she came out in the 90s ooh man what a hit now I'm 48 and this stuff brings back alot of memories flood of memories back then everything was different.
I can honestly say that Jagged Little Pill is the best alternative rock album I've ever heard. This album is brilliance defined. This album is in my all time top ten along with albums like Stankonia by OutKast, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and the Spirit Room by Michelle Branch.
I ❤ Alanis. I thought this song would be great place to point out something about humanity that is very prevalent I think. Every generation likes to make their own mistakes and choices, even though our mothers and fathers and elders have already walked this path and made these same mistakes and could EASILY point us in the right direction SAVING US COUNTLESS HEART ACHES AND FAILURES if we as young people would only put our personal pride aside and LISTEN to the mistakes already made. BUT each generation has their own minds and as a result feels the need to go back to square one without heeding the warnings given. GO OVER AND OVER THE SAME MISTAKES generation after generation slowing humanities overall growth rate and development as a whole planet to slower than a snails pace. They say history never repeats itself. But it does because WE MAKE IT SO. we as individuals feel the urge to make our own way and make our own choices and failures while the older generation watches and says , I made that same mistakes. Humanity is stubborn and resistant to development because of OUR OWN PRIDE and the need to make our own choices , good or bad. If only we would just listen to those who came before us, heed their warning, AND LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES. AND LEARN FASTER, this world would evolve faster and in a MUCH MORE PROSPEROUS AND RICHER FUTURE FOR EVERYONE ON THIS PLANET.
The meaning of life is awareness. The purpose of life is to experience. I think if we can truly integrate these ideas into our lives, we will live with pure joy. Anyone have thoughts about this?
yes it was a nineties music industry feminist pysop. I lived with a girlfriend who used to bump this kind of vibe all the time. shes divorced in her 50s and no man wants her because she chose grrrl power life style. i really like this song though im not gonna lie its very seductive.
It was so big at the time that I found it annoying. I was not smitten. Years later I can see the merit in the album as a whole. Precisely why I am listening and commenting today in 2019. Even though I wasn't a fan when it was all new it's impact and seemingly endless string of hit singles was remarkable.
@@phoenixnoire2435 It was 5 songs off of that album that were Mainstream Top 40 hits in the U.S. She also hit top 40 in multiple other countries with those songs.
Jagged Little Pill is one of a handful of albums that I know well. I played the whole album more times than I could guess. I would recognize any of the songs in seconds.
I just recently got the word "ironic" tattooed on my arm . I'm 28 now .. but have always loved her songs. I still love them .. lyrics are so meaningful
Sierra Russel I do want to meet her. If it was my choice watch the terrific movie Doctor Strange with her, plus watch 1 day of NHL games with her at a Restaurant could be TGI Fridays or Buffalo Wild Wings since I know they have all nfl or nhl games that aren't local, or NFL on a Sunday afternoon including my favorite team the Titans. I could be unhappy, sad,.or angry and that would fade or be removed if I start listening to AM songs You outta Know, You Learn, Ironic, Etc.
Jason Case she's great isn't she?! My uncle who passed away in 98 from heart surgery has an over 200 CD collection from nirvana to the Beatles to jimi hendrix Pearl jam & Pink Floyd. Now that I'm 25 I'm glad I found this CD of hers in his collection! She's an amazing singer she really releases your stress and makes you feel calm I can see why my uncle loved her!
Jasmine Russell Beautiful woman terrific singer, great music videos, and a terrific song writer. Be great to see her play herself or someone else in a MCU super hero movie. I do want to meet her and find out what she is like as a person. Also I know I'm not a great or decent singer with certain exceptions but I would still sing karaoke with her, or with her watching. Scary and exciting at the same time. Also her songs could easily be movies although altered for certain ones so a happy ending happens. Great songs to hear while working out, for dances, to relax, or made happy or feel better because of something bad or terrible, a song to hear before dreaming, etc. Wow that's a high cds collection the highest I heard of.
I think it may be the only album that I liked as a ten year old when it was release and my older sister listened to it and that I still like just as much and unironically as a 35-year-old.
Haven't heard this in a lifetime! I was 16 at that time in 1995. My sister then 14years of age was crazy listening to Alanis, and always kept saying: Alanis is so SMART to do this kind of music! So I listened, I learned* about her raw brilliant music and swallowed that jagged little pill:) The album is a masterpiece FULL STOP
@@sashabertold3731 Jagged Little Pill was released on October 24,1995 on the Warner Bros. Canada Label with “You Oughta Know” & “One Hand in My Pocket” being big hits, but it took until the Spring of 1996 for the LP to fully cross over internationally as WB distributed it in the US under the Reprise Records label as it wasn’t published here until January 23,1996, “Ironic” became Alanis’ First #1 hit knocking BIIMen & Mariah Carey’s “One Sweet Day” off the #1 Top 40 on April 13,1996. The other two hits from JLP in ‘96 were “You Learn” & “Head Over Feet”. I should know, I was in 7th Grade at the time.
@@plawson8577 I remember quite well, when I bought Jagged Little Pill it was in 1995 in New York City around September/October and my sister bought the album before me. Whst is your point exactly giving me all this info's???
@@sashabertold3731 You were buying the Canadian print. The US Print wasn’t out yet in ‘95. Toronto and Alanis’ native Ottawa are ALL literally across the border from NYC. Like only an hour and half from NYC.
This takes me back a few years . I was 19 when this came out. I'm now 47 . Once in a lifetime you are lucky enough to come across a singer who has a very unique voice ,who can absolutely belt it out. I was lucky enough to have grown up both with Alanis and Anastasia. Take me back to the middle 90's early 2000's.
@0:16 Reminds me of the days we had audio cassette players/Walkman devices, and we'd try listening carefully to songs and wrote down whatever lyrics we thought we'd heard if we got a casette without the lyrics' booklet. And record magazines themselves sometimes came with lyrical errors and misprints and the internet was still not that common in most households. So at this part of the song, I misheard the lyrics, *"...your heart trampled on,"* and I remember asking my mother what a *"...hot cha-bo-dam"* was....
Whenever bullshit gets too much in my head and I start to feel down or panic about money or shit...I listen to this song, and remember mistakes are meant to be made from time to time...and to just chiiiiiiiiilllll out :)
The chorus of this song helped me a lot, I remember that when I heard it for the first time I was having a very painful moment in my life and I felt very depressed and I thought that nothing in this life made sense, but, I heard this song on the radio and The chorus made me feel like it was saying to me: Get up! life is a complete learning. Thank you Alanis for creating such a good song that reminds me of my adolescence and my current strength at 39 years with everything I have learned in life.
My daughter was named after Alanis; she obviously made an impression on me. I would love to see her come back, no matter to what degree. She should write more songs.❤️
Saw the documentary this weekend. I've been playing the album all morning. Jagged Little Pill, has to be one of the greatest albums. Every song takes me back! What a story Alanis has.
These were the days when music was just so poetic, so absolutely awesome, so happiness-inducing, paired with the most creative, thought-provoking, and incredible music videos. I remember waiting up and watching MTV for hours, either buying or burning CDs and then moving on to saving them to USBs in the 2000s, and feeling so proud whenever I finally memorized the lyrics (whether or not they were the correct ones hahaha)! Listening to them now in my late 30s they hit a certain type of nostalgia and a hint of sadness even for times spent with friends, thinking we were going places and dreaming of doing things but never got to fulfill most of them.
I was but a young age of 13 when this came out. I re-discovered this recently. It hits so much harder as a grown man to hear this, and watch this video. Congratulations, Alanis. You achieved that of a music goddess and legend. Your music will be played at eulogies of your fans, and all those touched by your music. God bless you, beautiful woman.
I love your comment. I can validate your point by saying Alanis was played at my childhood buddy's funeral at 29 years of age in 2019. I remember being 4 when jagged little pill came out and that album was seriously a soundtrack to our childhoods. The boys didn't care that she was female, because the music was too awesome for us to care (and that is almost impossible to achieve lol). It felt like everyone around me was taking in the alanis vibes and all these years later to have her be the soundtrack to my friends funeral was so beautiful and cathartic. She is truly a legend and a force. I haven't experienced an era of music that made as big of an impact as Alanis did. And it wasn't just for me, it was a unanimous feeling among everyone. Words of truth. I remember vividly my dad and all of his heavy metal rocker friends uncharacteristically liking her and couldn't help it. Truly a phenomenon. Every time she comes up in a conversation I'm still in awe of how people regard her.
this song comforted me so much throughout my teenage years....i am 34 now and i still love this track......Alanis is cut from a totally different cloth....and that is what i love about her. she isn't frightened of being different. xx
Nostalgic to my core of the 90s. This song and Enya saved my life when I attempted suicide in my teenage years. The lyrics hits me hard if you truly listen to it. Life is a dichotomy of metaphors and sometimes, the right music saves your Soul.
I'm now 48 and 25 years ago in Ireland I never stopped listening to this song with with my Irish friends in Drogheda( Co. Louth) especially with Patrick my financée at that time... deep memories... this cororona situation brought this song to my mind... and the others from her album... good stuff remains in memories and hearts... songs and life go together
I always get emotional listening to this song.. very grateful and thankful of my life even with so much ups and downs. For me, this is the most beautiful song about life and living!
Yeah, hard to even listen to this stuff because of the memories. If I'd have known the mid 90's would've been that great, I sure would've appreciated those times more.
You live you learn. You love you learn. Take it from an older guy, this is so so true. Oh, to go back to certain moments that shaped my life. No Regrets! Just wishes because I have now learned...
This song has helped me heal and put some of the darkest days and hurt behind me. I love Alanis so much. I saw her perform live in the summers and it was an amazing experience. Now going to her last gig in September at Jacksonville Florida with my two daughters and just dance away the night with my babies to this song.

Jagged Little Pill album could come out today and still be a massive hit that's how ahead of it's time and classic the album is
It wouldn't. This generation don't appreciate good music.

I want to agree but children these days don't understand or like quality life lesson music
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!😁😁
@@Heroliesinyou very true! 90's music is lost on this generation!
Something I love about Alanis Morissette is that she's a fairly plain woman who bucked the trend and won purely on the basis of talent and her ability to speak to the heart. Truly an awesome person.
ThatGuy She is herself which is unique.
I think she's amazingly talented & gorgeous. Watch head over feet video... No makeup just stunning & yes you can tell that dave Colier really broke that heart... He don't seem worth it but certainly made a great muse for alanis
ThatGuy plain? With that voice...anything but.
@John Quick seriously!!! Those eyes alone!!! Anything but plain! I actually feel in love with her before I discovered her as a singer when she played God in Dogma. I was like "who is that??? I'm in love!!!"
Um?
I'm guessing you only know about her second music career, cos if you saw her in her reproductive prime? Holy damn.
Most of life's experiences are actually lessons 💯 "The world is a stage, and life is a classroom."

When you grow older and life laughs at you maniacally, this song is the only non-classical piece that comforts me; gives me courage for acceptance, to smile, make peace and move forth! The one song I hope somebody would play at my funeral; my favourite Alanis Morissette song!
This song is like looking into a mirror and having the most honest positive pep talk to accept life and move on and of course learn.
I think in the video, the idea is she learned to just be herself and do what she wants, no matter what. Despite all the things she's going through and experiencing, she learns to just be herself and not care what anyone thinks of her. I really think she is a genius, but I never saw her iq tests. This album is certainly music genius, though.

I wonder if that part of the video is a callback to Alanis on YCDTOTV in the 1980s.
During the period if my life when times was hard, my partner dying of cancer, Alanis was there for me and she didn't even know. She held my hand through times when I didn't felt I wanted to carry on. She gave me strength and allowed my emotions to flow through music.

Hi I recommend a Song And Video entitled 'Life changes' By Robert Nix
I was born in 2004 but god i wish i grew up in the 90's with this music. I discovered Alanis a few weeks ago and she is honestly phenomenal
I was born In 96 I still remember 2001 it's when I started to see the world 2001 basically
Same here! I was born on 2002 and now I'm rocking this whole album at my room. This is pure talent and amazingly phenomenal.
I was 8 when this CD came out and it's just as good as it was in 1995!
Music is timeless. Enjoy it whenever because it’ll always be here for us to enjoy.
I was in my 20s when jagged little pill came out, I truly believe it was a blessing from God to experience life in the 80s/90s, Damnit I'd give anything to go back 😢
Same here 👍
Ditto👍🏼
Me too ! I want to go back just for a day
And I wasnt even born
At least I loved the 2000s
I'm stuck in 90's music, but you know... I'm not going to leave.
I’m stuck in 95-96....sweeeet
Me too 👍❤
Get out before it's too late! I been stuck in the 90's since the 90's!
Neither will I, I'll always go back to my happy, carefree 90, s. ❤️❤️👌
In the late 90s and early 2000's I was a kid and I'm glad that I grew up listening good music cuz nowadays I can't even call music to all the shit that they play on the radio!
This sh*t raised me as a teen. I appreciate all the music currently, but damn I feel bad for anyone that missed out on this era in music
@@samuelbello1718 I couldn't agree more.
For sure.. You didn't know about the hidden gems on an album other than the singles released, until you bought the album
Amen to that brother. I miss the mid- to late 90s music.
@@Tam0de great wasn't it. I loved the early 90s too, Blind Melon etc but the mid-late 90s was an amazing time to be a teenager
I wish I was born in your time. Would’ve been amazing to experience the past that was ahead of me. Getting anemoia vibes here.
The nostalgia and the inspiration....love it
Same here man I’m 38 I’ve loved this album since my dad bought it in 96. I’ve been saying for years she was so young back then but a good grasp of life the first song of this album all I really want has been my favorite for years
From been a kid stressing at school, to a student stressing about life to an adult stressing about work and life this song has been there all the time. Absolutely love it!
time to make a choice and stop stressing, you chose to stress, you can always chose to let go and go with the flow. Works a lot better than stress.
😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😎👍
This song hits different now that we're adults.
@gravenaria your perspective is always going to undergo changes.
Have you kept up on anything she’s done after Jagged Little Pill up til today?
I’m trying to reconnect to her, too. I like her.
Immensely agreed.
So true. Was just thinking this.....
Spot on! At the time we just heard the great lyrics and music but the lyrics just hit so hard now in my older years! 😂❤
a 100% true!
Every single song

@@MrWierchawsky hola¡ im good. How are you
It’s difficult to understand just how HUGE this album was. Very rarely if at all do we get albums that have more than two hits.
It was so big at the time that I found it annoying. I was not smitten. Years later I can see the merit in the album as a whole. Precisely why I am listening and commenting today in 2019. Even though I wasn't a fan when it was all new it's impact and seemingly endless string of hit singles was remarkable.
Didn't 2/3 of this album end up on the top 40? And the rest were just too deep to be understood until years later, like Mary Jane and Not The Doctor.

Reminds me of the days we had audio cassette players/Walkman devices, and we'd try listening carefully to songs and wrote down whatever lyrics we thought we'd heard if we got a casette without the lyrics' booklet. And record magazines themselves sometimes came with lyrical errors and misprints and the internet was still not that common in most households.
So at this part of the song, I misheard the lyrics, *"...your heart trampled on,"* and I remember asking my mother what a *"...hot cha-bo-dam"* was....

I was Also 13 when this came out in Early 1996!
this song has one of the biggest chorus' in existence...gold.
I can't believe I forgot how incredible this whole album is. It defined an era for me, so iconic.
Perfect song to listen to for anyone who is changing their job or career or having a life changing experience. This one has stuck with me for years.
this song comforted me so much throughout my teenage years....i am 34 now and i still love this track......Alanis is cut from a totally different cloth....and that is what i love about her. she isn't frightened of being different. xx
33 years old. this was one of my fav songs growing up.
God I miss the 90's. :(
+Oddly Even Me too! The best decade of my life (thus far).
Every day
Yeah, hard to even listen to this stuff because of the memories. If I'd have known the mid 90's would've been that great, I sure would've appreciated those times more.
Amen!!!! Me too! Better time, days to be ALIVE! Step out into the sunny day!
Love
You live you learn. You love you learn. Take it from an older guy, this is so so true. Oh, to go back to certain moments that shaped my life. No Regrets! Just wishes because I have now learned...
So many incredible albums of the 90's, but to me, just me, Jagged Little Pill was the greatest. Thank you Alanis. 😁
Yes it was wasn't it?
Even today, im still listening to the whole Jagged Little Pill album. One of the only albums where i love every song on it.
Nothing short of a timeless masterpiece
Excellent song, one of my favorites of Alanis and in general, Who else in March 2020
Yes indeed
It is march 2020 for sure
@ryan williams only 1 way to find out 😉
Oh yea
@ryan williams that was me when I started to listen Britney Spears, the I realized I was gay. However, Alanis is the real Queen of 90's

Dezembro 😊
The appeal still remains live to millions and it will continue to remain so for many more years for its impacts on the untouched mind.
I absolutely love this woman and her beautiful and unique voice
This song has helped me heal and put some of the darkest days and hurt behind me. I love Alanis so much. I saw her perform live in the summers and it was an amazing experience. Now going to her last gig in September at Jacksonville Florida with my two daughters and just dance away the night with my babies to this song.
Class of 98 !! This whole CD was our soundtrack from sophomore year on ! Lot of good songs on Jagged Little Pill
Brings back so many memories man. This was my late nineties and early two thousands. I was 17 when it came out and I’m 44 and still love it.
What an amazing artist. It’s moments like this that make me believe that humanity can be so much more if we only allow it.
I understand your depth pal. and I agree.
Thank You Alanis you released this on my Mums Birthday-Thank You So Much 🙏
I love everything about this song the words, the vibe, the karma. So talented and so modest this album is perfection.
@@vitorsb9286 Eu entendi a referência 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Born in 87 but miss the hell out of 90's music, real music!
Me too

I love❤ you Alanis Morissette. I'm 34 and I listed to your songs as a kid. Thanks
73 yrs old now, this song is my anthem. As true as the sunrise, as beautiful as the sunset.
These are words to live by. Everything you go through in life is a learning experience. You learn and as you learn you grow and as you grow you mature. All of these steps are necessary for human development.
She is one of the epitome of the 90s sound. Used to hear her on the radio all the time when I was at the local pool. So many memories.
I’m going to be honest, I never would describe myself as a fan of Alanis Morissette, but I think there’s very few songs that I can think of by anyone at all that I like as much as this one. It’s a great song.
What a beautiful song man....Charismatic voice. Wonderful girl...How much it touches a man who has a heart, even as much as he can...Maybe what I thought, that love is dead, is a lie after all...
I performed my first open heart surgery during this song, it truly was a learning experience.......I learned.
Michael Lennon I cooked macaroni and cheese not from a box for the first time to this song
Michael Lennon SWEEEEET!!!
+franxesco0586 your funny.... I busted out laughing when I read your reply...
