Thank you Trooper Mcgregor. I’m always talk to my daughters about this. I drive 40 to 50 thousand miles a year and it’s getting worse. Thank you for your service!🇺🇸
I travel every weekend on 93 going to the white mountains and every week i see at least 10 cars on cell phones. And that's just going up not to mention going home on Sunday. So thank you for doing this i see young and old people doing it its no joke.
Thank you, Trooper McGregor. Appreciate your dedication and role in helping to maintain safe driving on the roads and highways of New Hampshire. Well done!
Just the other day I was sitting on a bench on a main street in a small town, watching the drivers as they went by. Nearly every young girl behind the wheel was looking down at their phone as they drove. This is one of the main reasons I don't like riding a bicycle on the road any more. Scary.
Thank you Trooper McGregor! An unenviable task. How is it we all survived before the introduction of cell phones! Nowadays people can't go 10 minutes without txting someone...Life has become that critical. I drive with "Do Not Disturb While Driving Turned on" on my cell phone...it's so simple, goes on automatically and eliminates the temptation. Best thing I ever did. I think all phones should come with it already turned on .

When I was up in Canada on Highway 1 through the Rockies in Alberta I loved taking pictures along the road of the scenery of the mountains that seemed to come right up to the highway. Then a local told me if the police catch you it's a $1200 fine I always seem to get minor speeding tickets occasionally like 10 miles an hour over. But the last one I got was a photo camera in Portland Oregon and I was willing to drive 600 miles back to go to a traffic school to keep it off my insurance. Anyway I learned something interesting about what cell phones do while you're driving. Some things you can do concurrently with driving like talking to a passenger but if you're talking or texting on a cell phone they gave the analogy of the phone ringing at home while you're watching a TV program. You're talking to the person on the phone and then when you get back to the TV program you can't remember anything in the interim. All of your attention is taken away from driving. That's why talking on a cell phone and texting is so dangerous. I don't know about taking pictures while you're driving cause I'm still paying attention to driving but $1200 is $1200 I actually learned a few things at that traffic school which because of Covid at the time fortunately for me they conducted it via Zoom I actually learned a couple of things like how much money is lost when an accident blocks an interstate. Or how many people are on drugs or drunk that you encounter on the road every day. Anyway I don't use the cell phone anymore when I'm driving
@@lawrenceartz8640 I'd have to say if I tried to use my old Nikon F3 SLR while driving that would be dumb. Looking through a rangefinder while trying to drive. We don't deserve fast roads. Should probably reduce the speed limit to 45 everywhere because of how irresponsible of drivers we are.

The cruiser has a laptop, a readout from a speed gun, a garage door opener, a console full of switches, a dozen other distractions and the cop's wearing a radio & using it constantly. But since he wears a badge, it's okay.
You guys are way too lenient on drivers that use their cell phones while driving. In Ontario Canada the fine is $615.00 and 3 demerit points and a 3 day suspension.
Any time I hear people complain about speed laws, I give them a spiel about how Germans can have no speed laws on their highways because they're responsible drivers, both hands on the wheel, etc. Americans like to eat, drink, switch radio stations, smoke, text, you name it. We don't deserve fast roads. Should probably reduce the speed limit to 45 everywhere because of how irresponsible of drivers we are.

It's an epidemic of stupidity. I see a lot more texting and driving when I'm out walking than when I'm driving. If driving is so boring and tedious then take the bus and text with both hands.
In my experience, younger people are the biggest culprits.
Isn't driving around looking at what other drivers are doing inside their car instead of looking the road considered distracted driving?
Will the Trooper be getting a ticket?
Google "im really good at killing people, I didnt know that would be a strong suit of mine" ....now since there was a dead body found in this persons pond go get a warrant.
citing people for distracted driving while repeatedly taking your eyes off the road to talk into a camera? is the irony not lost on you?
Abolish qualified immunity and internal investigations
People are SOOOO entitled. Yeah, I'm driving a 5,000lb vehicle with people and other vehicles all around but I NEED to fiddle around with something (that didn't exist, for all intents and purposes 20 years ago) and possibly take YOUR life.............but, if it happens to someone in MY family, oh, well then we MUST crack down on it.
"What do you want on your pizza?"
"Be there in 20 minutes."
Aggressive driving is just as bad. Good work m, NSP
