I love Ohio State Police. I remember I was pulled over for speed , the trooper approach me and asked me if I was wearing a sit belt , I was honest and said no, so he gave me a break and I was only fined for not wearing the sit belt . 😉
I am very glad that the Highway Patrol is out here protectiing ohioans, the safety of our highways. I would not like it if they gave me a ticket. LOL but anyway Im glad they are out there. Cheers
At 22:47 they discuss the change in the siren sounds. The Trooper says "Honestly its just to change the monotony of the sounds" Which is absolutely incorrect and false. The siren sounds are designed for what kind of traffic you are encountering. The wail is used for warning drivers at long distances while responding to an incident. The yelp is designed for approaching traffic to signal all vehicles that an emergency vehicle is going to make action to get around traffic. The hyper yelp is designed for intersections and slow to stopped traffic to remain where they are or allow access through. That is combined with the electronic horn and if need be, the PA system. These siren sounds do serve a purpose and at high rates of speed, it is possible to "out run" your siren meaning that vehicles you are approaching may not hear a certain type of siren until an emergency vehicle is almost directly behind them. This is another reason for the change in sound. I am actually surprised this Trooper did not know the functionality of the siren sounds. I learned this while employed in EMS and it was part of the basics of ambulance use and driving. Hmmm.
Like a lot of officers who’ve answered the same, she was glossing over the details because she quite rightly thought the interviewer was most likely not too concerned about the details. Tbh the interviewer seems a bit too giddy to pay attention to that much technical info’. Watched a man officer say: “It’s just to break up the monotony of the sounds so people pay more attention”. He knows it’s BS but, it’s a faster answer than the whole spiel about each sound. Brevity in interviews is encouraged because officers can sometimes drone on unintentionally. It’s their nature and for us nerds it’s perfect but, some people have the attention span of a gnat.
Oh my god, you people would get on anything about Law Enforcement, and this comment just proves it, you're calling a Trooper drunk for being nervous for being on Live TV, And He Never seemed like he was even a slight bit drunk..
I love American officers. I hope you catch the bad guys. Thank you for protecting the citizens.
Thanks Ohio state patrol!
The presenter, squeaking with excitement, like a schoolgirl at her first prom. I just had to tune this out.

And it seems like you don’t know how to listen. If you did, you’d know it is a test vehicle and she’s obviously unfamiliar.
