It's funny because here in Tampa we also have a deputy who likes to sit on the corner of our street just looking for people who roll or disregard the stop sign and it's gotten to the point where old timers will pull-up a chair and just watch XD. We live close to a school as well so it makes sense to wake up drivers who aren't paying attention, especially around a school zone. Appreciate the great videos guys keep it up!
@@noobfax4395 I did a ride-along with my sheriff's office, we went atleast 20 over pretty much all the time. Most calls were urgent enough to speed, but not enough for lights and sirens. I did it with a K-9 deputy though, and he doesn't have a specific zone to patrol so he has to cross the whole county when the dog is needed.
Officer Holder is a role model for all law enforcement. As I grip our nations debts I want to express my sorrow for law enforcement. You men n women deserve so much more . Godbless
These videos are educational ina lot of ways. They show that policemen are people too and can be informarive and kind to drivers which helps dispel their reputation that all cops are bad. Keep on doing these. They are a big help.
Very good video! This seems like a pretty good cop. I like how he treats people fairly and takes the circumstances into consideration, and doesn’t just start blindly writing tickets. I love these kinds of videos, where you get a more in depth look at the officer.😊👍
Honestly its really nice to see an officer give an education and a brief warning instead of giving tickets all the time. Hes really nice an a honest, humble officer. Great job officer Holder
Hello from Fort Wayne Indiana my first time viewing. My dad before he passed lived in Marshfield Wisconsin been through Wausau numerous times. Thank you for the show.
From being pulled over and stopped in Wisconsin in different counties like Marquette county Adams county including Columbia county I have maybe seen one or two officers that do good patrol work like this and work with the community on better policing and cops and civilians understanding each other better I give this officer a high five and if I am ever in Wausau I would be glad to buy him lunch
I got pulled over on the east side of Madison (I’m from Virginia and was in my car) the officer treated me like a local, was very professional and gave me a verbal warning
Coming from the Midwest myself (Iowa) I will say the way this officer handled himself was absolutely perfect. I love his portrayal of what his days look like especially in bad weather. His demeanor is why I wanted to become an officer in the first place to show people not all are bad. Great job with this video!
The majority of police work is pretty mundane. Then goes from zero to 120 in a maþer of seconds! Thank you all for what you do!🎉 God bless our warriors! ❤❤❤❤
I always do a circle check of my vehicle once a week, to be sure nothing is burnt out or broken and everything works on it, no matter how new the vehicle is.
Even though I was used to my neighborhood, I always stopped at stop signs because there could be another car or kid running across the street! One time a cop turned off all his lights to see if I’d run the stop sign or speed lol
I’ve had the same registration number plate issue happen to me when I conducted traffic stops. I think it’s a dmv issue, because the plate is always one letter or number off compared to the actual paper registration, and when I ran the license plate number it would come back as plate number does not exist.
The question is the first stop “ not making a complete stop” can we flag officers down and educate them the same if we see them roll stop as well I mean if I did the same would it be okay too??
So refreshing to see police stop people and give verbal warnings rather than ticketing like crazy out of fear of not meeting some unethical quota-type system that some police departments I’ve heard secretly follow.
The old urban legend citation quota that everyone believes exist. Kind of funny how it's always I've heard about it or someone else claims its true, so I believe them with no actual proof.
@@skyknight1281 reason I stated “I’ve heard” and not that “I know.” And I doubt there are not any departments that push to meet a ticket quota, if at very least an unspoken rule that is highly encouraged by shaming the police that are lacking as “unproductive.” It’s a huge money maker for the system that ultimately, through other budgets of course, pays them. It also keeps them busy, and depending on the ticket, or if arrest, the jails occupied and courts in need of service. It’s silly to assume that there isn’t corruption in the police department when there is everywhere else, and at the least, one could say it’s a selfish example of job security.
@@WausauPoliceDepartment I’m sure this practice is against the law no matter what state you’re in, but it boils down to if a particular dept. actually practices what they preach. And, just to add, I’m not insinuating that any police dept. in Wisconsin secretly follows this unethical behavior, I was just stating that it’s nice to know that Wausau PD certainly does not. ☺️💯👏
I'm going to give you a unpopular opinion/fact from experience as a police officer.....verbal warnings do not work. We can see who get verbal warnings and who get tickets, and many of what I see is that people who get verbal warnings are more likely to get stopped again and sooner than those who get a ticket
1:30 warnings are nice but either lying about stopping or not even realizing what you’re doing imo should disqualify from a warning. at least put it as a written so it’s on record. idk how she didn’t realize she didn’t stop at all and in front of a car going down the road while there’s ice on the road
The first one should have cited for running that stop sign. If she wasn't aware of the officer sitting there, it just tells me she isn't aware of her surroundings and is most likely is a habitual stop sign runner.
Once I accidentally swapped the registration sticker that we have to put on our window (in my country at least) and the license plate from another car I own so neither had the correct plate or sticker 😅🤣🤣🤣
We do have LIDAR, it's mostly officer preference or based on the areas they are patrolling that day. Like they may use LIDAR if they are patrolling the freeway. We do not use VASCAR.
its great to see more departments put out videos like this, BUT please keep in mind that the people watching are civilians, and as civilians we do not know all the termanology that you use as an officer. you said in the first part of the video that you are currently a "FTO'. ok, what is an "FTO"? just remember to explain things that we might not know. thanks!
A FTO is a Field Training Officer. They tend to take "new" officers and show them the ropes, and get actual experience, "re-trains", or if they were off for a while (leave, been behind a desk, etc). Some dept even have where FTO's works with all officers.

The crash edit was amazing. It wanted to join the civilian vehicle and make it feel less singled out
No fuckin way did that car stop at that intersection
She denied it too so I think a ticket would have been in order
She did not roll it, she ran the stop sign. If she lies, it should be a guaranteed ticket
