He said he was terrified by the growth of their fame, the responsibility, the potential for and agonizing fall. Facing being on top was overwhelming to all seven of them - and shortly following that November, then December's award shows, BTS went into a long period of silence that startled and concerned ARMY. It was as if they had disappeared. Then came the announcement in March 2018 that they had resigned for another 7 years with BigHit, actually a year earlier than the contract was due to be renegotiated. 2018 saw them blaze into glory and then we saw and heard what happened during that time of silence when Jin revealed at 2018 MAMA that they had been so overwhelmed they discussed disbanding. Imagine the fears! The loss of privacy! The responsibility to more and more millions! Then they broke free of the earth's gravity and reached orbit. It is unimaginable what BTS will give us over this next year!

Army’s found out the number on his left shoulder is an old motorcycle model, which brings us to his permanently damaged shoulder. He never told anyone in fear of not debuting with the others members. Maybe the # is a symbol that he fought with his own physical limitations and overcame it to be a successful star. But his injury is a part of his shadow. Its a part he can't get rid of, he has to live with it everyday...his physical limitation will forever be with him. He achieved everything he wanted years ago but it all came w a cost and he knows he can take a way out, but instead he’s accepted it and lives with all of it.

An amazing thing about "perfectioning" your craft is that BTS is going back to their past albums and you can clearly see how much they've improved and evolved as artists when you compare it. They respect the place were they began, but at the same time they are saying "you are part of who I am, now it's time for you to meet the whole new person I became since I found you at first." One thing I noticed is that during their debut in 2013, in NO MORE DREAM, Suga rapped "I want a big house, big car and big rings" when they were just starting, with hopes and dreams of success. The section of the song in which the bass becomes more prevalent and everything becomes dark, red, and chaotic is when SUGA’s shadow begins to speak to him. They share the same wants and wishes but one side of him is aware of the costs to reach them and the other is more than willing to give into a carnal ambition/drive to do so.

This song really fools you with it's slow, calm beginning, then it rocks! The lyrics are so deep and sad yet it bangs. I love Suga's deep voice. I said to my hubby whilst playing Suga/BTS on holiday last summer that listening to Suga's voice is so soothing to my soul - no matter where in the world I might be, having BTS with me - I'm home, they are my home. I’m thinking the 7 silhouettes in the very beginning represent “the rap star, rockstar, be rich, king, the top, all mine, go win” and when he says, “I wanna be...” the camera focuses on him representing himself/Yoongi. What an incredible story this song tells us of how lonely fame is. This is why Idols should be left alone in public allowing them some normalcy in their daily lives.
Suga is finallly facing his demons, after dealing with anxiety and depression, he’s finally fulfilling his dreams and he’s ready to face it head on .He’s no longer going to let anything steal his dreams. Suga is truly gifted and he’s going head on with whatever comes his way.

At the end, Suga and his shadow became one. He accepted his shadow. His shadow was a part of the crowd just taking pictures and not enjoying the performance. He accepeted that that's how it is. He might not like it, but he accepted it. It just makes me want to hug him. I rememeber when I went to their concert. I couldn't see them properly because there were so many godamn phones on the way T.T Next concert I go, I swear, I will go soundcheck and I will write "I'm sorry" on the palms of my hands and hope that he can see it. The part where he is saying “you are me I am you you know now” it’s his shadow (past self) saying how his future and him are the same now. His past experiences are him, his struggles are also him. There are two suga's, one in the crowd and one at the top, the one in the crowd is probably his shadow as he keeps looking at the suga at the top, I know that means something and there is so much more hidden messages and meanings in here as well. There are so many theories in just this one little video, Imagine what they have stored for us when they release the album, a whole new era of bts is coming and it's definitely going to be more evil and dark and I don't think we're ready for it. Also did you notice within the lyrics of the change up section that it was his shadow talking. It when from him talking to his shadow saying "I am you, you are me" and that he can't get rid of him so he just has to accept it. In an interview with billboard he said that his depression, anxiety and loneliness will probably with him for the rest of his life. ("Success or fail, you can't escape I will always be a part of you") It's crazy... And the very last part with the cellphones, it probably relates to his social anxiety, that he has to face every day, especially as an idol... constanty observed and judged... ah it's so sad.. ALSO Suga once said how he feels about his level of success " it's like I'm in an elevator, I wanted to go to 15th floor but ended up on 60th ". Even though Suga always was greedy about his success(talked about it in 'give it to me' on his mixtape), all the pressure makes him depressed... Another time, at the begging of 2018, the members had to draw a happiness chart, and Yoongi's perfectly showed how a person with depression feels: his happiness was once at 100% then at 0 than 80 than 20 and just going up and down rapidly nonstop... I feel bad for him, theessage of the song is so sad, but I'm proud too, knowing that he shares these thoughts and feelings with us.

Everything about this video and lyrics is so deep and can be interpreted in so many ways.. for example I think when the Beat drops it's his shadow rapping. First mockingly repeating his dreams before telling him he can't ever get rid of him because they are the same person so he might as well just accept it. A part that a lot of people don't see is the double meaning behind 'Don't let me shine' The name Yoongi means shine so it can be interpreted as him saying he can't be himself and that honestly breaks my heart. It also goes well with him saying 'I wanna be ME'.

I think it hits for y’all hard bc you guys are into performing. And as we can see BTS really go all out, grow and extend themselves in their work. That’s why I think they will always last. Their previous work alone I find to be the makings of classics. I play their early songs all the time and never get tired.
Blaze I love what you said about respecting your craft and how much hard work and dedication it takes to keep improving as an artist! Yoongi practically lives in his studio most of the time, and he breathes music - he’s constantly writing and working on music, to the point where he admits to writing around 300 songs a year and brings his production equipment with him wherever he travels. It’s one of the many thing I admire about not just him, but all of Bangtan - their amazing work ethic 💜

Army’s found out the number on his left shoulder is an old motorcycle model, which brings us to his permanently damaged shoulder. He never told anyone in fear of not debuting with the others members. Maybe the # is a symbol that he fought with his own physical limitations and overcame it to be a successful star. But his injury is a part of his shadow. Its a part he can't get rid of, he has to live with it everyday...his physical limitation will forever be with him. He achieved everything he wanted years ago but it all came w a cost and he knows he can take a way out, but instead he’s accepted it and lives with all of it.

An amazing thing about "perfectioning" your craft is that BTS is going back to their past albums and you can clearly see how much they've improved and evolved as artists when you compare it. They respect the place were they began, but at the same time they are saying "you are part of who I am, now it's time for you to meet the whole new person I became since I found you at first." That's impressive.

I’m thinking the 7 silhouettes in the very beginning represent “the rap star, rockstar, be rich, king, the top, all mine, go win” and when he says, “I wanna be...” the camera focuses on him representing himself/Yoongi. What an incredible story this song tells us of how lonely fame is. This is why Idols should be left alone in public allowing them some normalcy in their daily lives.
Suga is finallly facing his demons, after dealing with anxiety and depression, he’s finally fulfilling his dreams and he’s ready to face it head on .He’s no longer going to let anything steal his dreams. Suga is truly gifted and he’s going head on with whatever comes his way.

I think when the beat changed, into like a darker and more intense vibe, and when the point of view changes to "you are me and I am you" and stuff like that, I think that was his shadow talking. There are two suga's, one in the crowd and one at the top, the one in the crowd is probably his shadow as he keeps looking at the suga at the top, I know that means something and there is so much more hidden messages and meanings in here as well. There are so many theories in just this one little video, Imagine what they have stored for us when they release the album, a whole new era of bts is coming and it's definitely going to be more evil and dark and I don't think we're ready for it. Also did you notice within the lyrics of the change up section that it was his shadow talking. It when from him talking to his shadow saying "I am you, you are me" and that he can't get rid of him so he just has to accept it. As soon as that beat switched up I could feel the dark, almost sinister, feel of the song take over. That change let you know his shadow was talking, but he also made sure to make everyone else feel it too. Genius honestly.

I'm pretty sure that the last part: red and black, is his 'shadow' - his depression and greed. In an interview with billboard he said that his depression, anxiety and loneliness will probably with him for the rest of his life. ("Success or fail, you can't escape I will always be a part of you") It's crazy... And the very last part with the cellphones, it probably relates to his social anxiety, that he has to face every day, especially as an idol... constanty observed and judged... ah it's so sad..

Suga once said how he feels about his level of success " it's like I'm in an elevator, I wanted to go to 15th floor but ended up on 60th ". Even though Suga always was greedy about his success(talked about it in 'give it to me' on his mixtape), all the pressure makes him depressed... Another time, at the begging of 2018, the members had to draw a happiness chart, and Yoongi's perfectly showed how a person with depression feels: his happiness was once at 100% then at 0 than 80 than 20 and just going up and down rapidly nonstop... I feel bad for him, theessage of the song is so sad, but I'm proud too, knowing that he shares these thoughts and feelings with us.

Everything about this video and lyrics is so deep and can be interpreted in so many ways.. for example I think when the Beat drops it's his shadow rapping. First mockingly repeating his dreams before telling him he can't ever get rid of him because they are the same person so he might as well just accept it. A part that a lot of people don't see is the double meaning behind 'Don't let me shine' The name Yoongi means shine so it can be interpreted as him saying he can't be himself and that honestly breaks my heart. It also goes well with him saying 'I wanna be ME'.
