Thank you for all that you do at ASP and sharing your story. I would add that as a christian and a husband, not only should my wife be able to grow old with me but I also have a biblical mandate to protect and provide for her. If I allow someone to hurt her or end my life without doing my best to prevent it, I have abdicated my God given role to take care of her (I have no children or the point would be the same for them). I am not saying God cannot or will not take care of our families but I am His agent for that purpose until my time has come and to the extent that I can, I will do my best to fulfill this God given duty.
Hey John, I love your channels and wish you the best no matter what you believe. I was born and baptised, then adopted and raised Jewish. Then I decided on my own to be what I am now. I hope most people that watch this has no problem with your personal beliefs and your right to talk about it. Just keep being you and making great videos.

I am a senior citizen (74 years old) and a retired pastor. Saved at age 25 and served bi-vocational until health issues (age 69) created the situation that demanded retirement. Love these videos of John mostly the active self protection videos and that is what got me watching these. I agree with a huge amount of what John has to offer for advice in stressful situations where your life and guns or knives are involved. I am a true deep down atheist and believe very hard against the belief in something or someone called god, i just think it is silly for lack of a better word without being cruel and nasty. I do not offer my belief to no one and i respect everyone's belief in whatever they want, so i lend myself to become associated with someone like John (through the internet of course) but normally i would find it hard in the real world to follow such a devout believer.All these videos John puts out are good and i love to watch them, thanks so much!

I needed to know you had more of the "big picture" in mind than comes across in your ASP videos, and now I feel as if we know each other. This was risky and required some courage...I hope I get to meet you someday, you have validated my beliefs, and I am forever grateful.
