There was a period when she doesn't release new songs for a while, but then she changed music label and is now constantly releasing new songs. There are some old songs that got privated/deleted for whatever reason. I'm glad it worked out well for her. You can find her old songs here on TH-cam, I'm sure people are constantly re-uploading them because they're so good.
I would like her to really constantly release new songs, but for now this is just a wish. And this is understandable; after all, writing lyrics and music almost by yourself is not easy. She chooses quality over quantity, which is why I love her. As for the old songs, I don't know why it's a problem for her. I hope she re-records and releases them someday.
@@quwane IIRC the reason wasn't disclosed but it happened during her transition from FlyingDog to Warner Music. People can only speculate that it was for copyright reasons. Dunno, Japanese laws are weird. If you're interested, the songs are honest diary, monologue, and eternal blue. There are tons of reupload if you wanna check them out.
Drop is a perfect name for this song. Not only on the meaning of the lyrics and story, but the whole structure of the song is ramping up to the final *drop*

DROP was released in July of 2021 but the song has already existed even before 2020 and I was able to hear it through one of Minami's Twitcasting streams in live acoustic. It instantly became one of my favorites so it was such an experience to finally hear the studio version of the song in 2021. This is a great analysis I absolutely loved it, the more I listen to the song, the more details I discover in terms of its composition 💛

I like the repetitive sound profile of the majority of the track. It doesn't really go anywhere, but that's what makes the contrast last 90 seconds so powerful.

"konomachi ni hare wa konai" has a really beautiful instrumental section in it and personally I think it's heavily underrated.
