Those 1.32 scale Mossie's are magnificent, well done. I got back into the hobby with a 1.48 Mossie a few years ago and have amassed quite a collection of planes, vehicles and figures since and the materials and equipment have improved significantly. I've only built 4 kits this year, 2 109s, a Tropical Spitfire and an Me 262 all in 1.48 and in my opinion they look fantastic. I've a Pe 2 sat on the bench awaiting my time, but unfortunately, decorating the house is taking up most of it. Looking forward to spending some quality time back at the bench. Thanks for sharing this video, it's great to see others work and hear their enthusiasm.
I love all scales of models but my favourite aircraft in my collection is my 1/18 Hobbyboss Focke Wulf FW190 A-5. Absoluely beast of a model that is really detailed.
Plastic kits are ok, but I prefer models that actually fly. I was AT the DHM about 20 years ago, and got a sneaky view inside the cockpit of the Mossie that was inside. Someone had left a set of stepladders underneath, and the hatch was open, so of course I couldn't resist taking my camera up! (No, I didn't climb in, I thought that would be pushing my luck too far!)
Greetings from the colonies I'm a great fan of your channel and have to say this episode is epic. In fact just by watching you've inspired me to add several kits to my " want to build list". I'm sure you've seen back in December a new version of Fredrick Forsythe story with John Travolta entitled " The Shepard", a lost Vampire and Mosquito - which is also my favorite aircraft. An odd idea for you might be to locate George Chakiris and have him sign a model or picture He's 92 and the only surviving memember of the cast from 633 Squadron. I could go on about modeling and De Havilland, wonderful hobby and fantastic museum. Cheers from the Pacific Northwest USA.
I have dabbled in and out of modelling since I was a kid, some years I was better at it than others. It would have been helpful to have listed the model kits seen here so that we can purchase them if so inclined? The 1:32 scale Mosquitos are magnificent!
Great models........When I was allowed to closely examine the Prototype Mosquito, around 10 years ago, the leading edge wing slats were clearly visible along with the extended rear engine nacelles rivetted over the original shorter ones. Also quite easy to find was the over-painting of the original serial number W5051. This being the second prototype fuselage which was used as a substitute for that of W5050 which had broken during testing.
Nice one Adam. First you paint a real Mozzie and now you're a film star!!! Good research. It's nice to build something with a personal story. See you at club or maybe Telford if you are going. Take care mate. Des

Thank you gentlemen.
The Mossies are outstanding well done all the modellers ..
I built that Airfix Vampire back in the 70's. I love that Airfix now make a 1/48th scale Vampire. I must get hold of one soon.

Excellent models! Incredible details. How about balsa flying models ;)
Great video, great place to visit 👍
All superb models👍
I built every Airfix model as a child.
Now into flight sim.
Just finished building the home of 109 and 582 Sqn at Little Staughton.
I have just made a DH-80A Puss Moth in 1/6th scale for my 1970's "Action Man" pilots
The slightly deformed corrugated cardboard floor plates are a modellers classic.
I build a Airfix 1/72 Mosquito PR.XVI in USAAF and I was wondering would the museum make a history video about the Mosquitos in USAF service?.
I really need to get myself over to your place soon.
The story of the B17 was tense, not heard that before.
Sabaton did a song about it. th-cam.com/video/dslO-3GgenY/w-d-xo.html
Model building is 80% research and 20% craftsmanship👍👍👍
Not if all you do is stick pre-made parts together and slather paint and transfers on. 😂
