- Testing out the Thrustmaster T 16000M FCS Hotas flight sim setup in Battlefield 2042 against bots. Feels decent but needs more fine tuning and practice ofc.

Damn thats sick, i wanna learm how to use a fighter jet but its really hard cuz people always pick it way faster than me even if im clicking as fast as i can lol and when i finally get to use it i die instantly by another pro pilot or tank
Thank you kindly! ✌🏻 And yea i feel ya, those anti air tanks and good enemy pilots can make any air vehicle hard to fly sometimes.
On another note, this video clip was a match filled with entirely bots. I too tsruggle with real PvP matches, espicially now that i started using this setup. I used to fly with controller, whic i think im better at, atleast for now. 😅
How did you get the throttle to work? Is it really worth it over using a keyboard for the throttle? I didn’t really notice you feathering or adjusting your air speed with it in the video. I adjust my air speed a lot when flying and have been thinking about getting a throttle or hotas. Currently using a 3d wingman joystick with keyboard
Yes, i was allmost full throttle the whole time in that video, but i guarantee that the throttle lever works tho. There was an issue tho with it that, when i applyed the thorttle the jets steering would kinda freeze for a half a second or so.
Honestly i think it might not be worth it, i can fly better with controller myself. Atleast needs much more practice to get as good as controller.
And i used somekind of Xbox 360 emulation software and then 'hidhide' software to hide those sticks to be seen as one Xbox 360 controller in BF2042.
Then in the BF2042 settings, i used joystick controls for the the right hand stick and then normal controller settings for the left hand side stick/throttle.
Honestly it was really quite the hassle to get those working lol but it felt decent and fun tho to fly. I've allso seen people fly helis with dual joysticks like the one on the right.
@@theseagullmeister308 yeah, I seen that too. Also I kind of like the idea of head tracking software. I constantly scan out the side windows and rear between strafing but it be nice to have an easier time than having to hit my pov buttons. I think even the webcam head tracking or track ir doesn’t work. About the throttle what do you have the afterburner mapped too? I think it take a lot of practice getting use to a throttle but it would feel great eventually.
