I was up on the curb in the distance, as was a leg of the tripod (actually "way up beyond the curb" - two legs of the tripod were ON the curb at street level) I am not about to get in the way of something that big...and that deadly. The shots of the wheels and so on are via a nice zoom lens....
Probably at one time, the Monongahela Railway (MGA) who operated the tracks before Conrail, and now NS and CSXT was a big employer. Same as why Altoona on the Pittsburgh Line is the way it is. Was a railroad town, and still is, just not as much as it used to be.
