Given written instructions for the TV and the soundbar are hard to find, I was able to uncover the secrets of getting in to the settings of the soundbar to have greater control. Learned a lot from this video, a lot that I could not learn from LG and their website. Thank you.
I have this soundbar, with an LG G4, with wow, it works wonderfully, the subwoofer is placed in the left corner, so that the sound waves bounce off the walls, we deactivate the suround Otherwise it activates all the speakers and it makes an echo of voices in the back, it's written in the instructions
Bought it 2 months ago. Just a week in, the rear right speaker stopped pairing. Lg came back with a new rear spear but even that didnt connect. So they took the entire set for service refering to an issue on the soundbar. Within a day they came back saying the issue was resolved. But the it still would not connect. Now LG says this is the first time they've come across an issue as such on the product. Now im home with no rear speaker searching youtube for an answer
Thanks for posting a vid.......But theres one thing that people have been waiting for that you haven't done yet. Comparison between JBL PARTYBOX 1000 & JBL PARTYBOX ULTIMATE
LG has some of the worst sound quality in their soundbars, Sonos is much better even if the app is bad and features are still missing. I prefer my 2018 Samsung soundbar (which doesn't sound nearly as good as Sonos, but it has the 4 upfiring speakers that make games and movies a lot better), but I'd honestly take my parent's Sony 5.1 soundbar over any LG soundbar. If you're looking for Atmos sound and can't get a full AVR, Samsung's flagships (N950, Q90r, Q990C or Q990D) and the newest Sony A9000 (though this one is much higher in price for the full setup since they separated the bar with the sub and rears, but the bar itself has really good bass to begin with) are my go to. I found a slightly bent but fully functional Samsung Q90R soundbar for about $300 on eBay free of shipping and I haven't regretted it yet for my small room, but even if I were to go put this in the living room, it'd be more than good enough with the heights, but still nothing compared to a good AVR system.
When I installed the lg soundbar app it directs me to the lg ThinQ app which connects to the sound bar but does not have a calibration option. How do i calibrate my S95TR sound bar with lg ThinQ?
Got a new LG 55” OLED TV. Got this S95TR sound bar to hook up to it. The bottom line is, I think the sound sucks. I’ve tried it with different streaming movies, TV, some of the LG channel stuff, and flipped around to the many sound profiles, which I really don’t wanna have to do. On my old Panasonic plasma TV with a Sony sound system I was able to set up one profile that made everything sound good. The system just doesn’t cut it in my opinion and I may return it before my return time runs out. From there, I’ll visit a local hi-fi shop and see what they have to offer. This is not worth the money at all and I got it on sale at Christmas time
I'm expecting mine to arrive any day. I've heard mixed feelings. But so really good reviews that seem honest. What's the main problem you find on the sound? I hope it works well in the end. Cos here, where I live, there's no option for return if you don't like it.
does this soundbar have a startup delay when being used with a lg tv? Im having that same issue with my Nakamichi earc soundbar and I'm wondering if I should upgrade to an lg sound bar to fix this. please let me know if you encounter this sound delay before sound starts.
Did you figure out? I got a lg c3 and have tried 2 Visio sounds bars and Samsung 990d and they all have a 3 to 4 minute start delay. All in earc and have changed cables all I can think of is maybe I just need an lg sound bar to match it
@@gmr4lfe how is the dialogue? I got the s990d and I have to turn it way up for the dialogue and way down for the action and I’ve read ask the blogs and gone through all the settings that’s just how that thing is
I rather a system without AI that has decent sound. The S95TR has crap sound the AI is just marketing BS that does not bring anything to the party !!!!
I have this soundbar with LG G4 television. The sound is absolute garbage. The sub woofer is extremely weak to the point that you struggle to notice it (yes it is paired and working) and the resulting sound is unbalanced, high pitched and hard on the ears. I would describe it as shrill. It is at its worst when listening to music. Based on my experience I would not recommend this soundbar setup.
@@pedro_ferreirinha I've got an LG C4 with the new LG S95TR soundbar. I've replaced all the cables twice for the TV and soundbar with high quality HDMI. 2.1 and I've actually returned the soundbar once because I was within my 30-day window thinking it was a hardware issue. After all my troubleshooting for the past 3 months, I'm convinced it's the Earc Port on the C4 TV. What's odd is it can sometimes go days or weeks with no issues and then randomly it's like every other day.
Thank you to LG for Sponsoring this video, JBL Xtreme 4 videos coming up next.

You needed to play just the soundbar, sub and rear speakers, then Wow Orchestra with the TV speakers. Thats what we all want to see

How does this bar (linked with a LG G4) compare with a sonos arc + sub + 2x Era100's ?
Sonos is better. I'm returning this crap. Cost me 1400 and it doesn't sound great. I don't have a LG TV though.

Great review!!
Did you get static or distortion in top firing speakers or any of them in bar?
Lg sq75tr or sc9s with spq8-s ?? Both cost same
Sq75tr is 5.1.1 Dolby Atmos 600w and sc9s is 400 with rear spekaer 120w
Which is better to buy

Since I don't want to pay for AI, I might as well get the QR?
S95tr or Q990d ?
Definitely Samsung! This LG is horrible with dialogue and the app and soundbar disconnect all the damn time.

Neither. Av receiver with real speakers and real wire connected to them

CC shows 110 also. I thought I was going deaf lol

Hard pass. For the price I'll build you a real 5.1 system twice as good😂
