To be fair on Audi, the battery weighs almost 25kg and that big lump in front is already too heavy lol.. certainly seems plausible to place the battery at the rear of the vehicle and low down would aid handling. The yanks have laws with mandatory spare wheels at the time so they had the battery inside a mound in the boot
I had a C5 S6 before this, same battery, same chassis, same engine, minus the turbos, but that was in the normal bulkhead position so its definitely a space issue. Trying to loose that big wad of weight so high up does make sense too though 👍
A customer came in to work an got a huge battery for a scania about twice the size of that popped it on his shoulder an walked off 😳 normally 2 of us move them 🤣
Does anyone know where that red wire leads on the mega fuses goto or if it is part of the engine harness?
It was a long time ago, but I think one went to the starter motor and the other fed the fuse box. Can't confirm 100% though

Genuinely was gonna grab the engine crane to lift this one out at full stretch 🤣

All in good time lads 🤣 if I win the lottery and can do this full time I'll be straight on it 👍
