I agree with you about why the homes are just left to fall apart when they could have been saved. There's an organization in the US that has just recently started to find abandoned homes, find family if there is any and is buying/selling them so they don't just set and rot.

They I wish would help Americans that had owned for over 20 years and due to poor health and covid and unable to work anymore had worked a job and made payments until unfortunate circumstances even paying into last year of bankruptcy and then it would've gone back to original mortgage to be paid off in 10 years to be given as inherentance to our children was foreclosed and evicted for around 6,000 dollars overhead debt less than most people's car cost then bankers and realistate agencies flip for a lot of money and you get nothing your kids get nothing and you don't even get to get personal belongings you become homeless and alot of people put in rest homes their homes are taken and sold not even giving the owner a chance to get photographs or anything else oh and they sure enough send family members an opportunity to pay all their family members debts in full most already have mortgages of their own making it impossible for any family be able to save the home no matter how much they wish they could. The point I'm making is these homes were probably never what you say just abandoned like they stopped caring and simply walked away alot of people tried with everything they had to save their home and couldn't. Look around at empty department stores companies gone bankrupt too but more and more homeless families and children everyday all year and right here in America alot of shelters and Thank God for them when ice and snow out extremely cold weather people are expected to be out in the morning around 7 a.m. what if your unable to work and alot with children have nowhere to go. I'm just saying huge department stores empty and people trying to stay warm and dry most of the time sick because of living conditions and no insurance are trying to stay under bridges or on the streets or in the woods. I pray that everyone receives help that they may really need they have worked hard most of their lives in some cases lot harder jobs than alot of people have had but because they've lost what they worked all those years for and been regularly denied everything that they could denied you for then suddenly everyone forgets you ever worked a day in your life it's heartbreaking degrading and damn sure make your health decline. Just wish we'd start seeing and experiencing new programs new protection laws that protect and help people get to keep what they worked an honest job paid taxes and Social security just like everyone else and due to insurance companies that was supposed to pay long term disability and got out of cause paperwork wasn't satisfactory from your doctor oh and it was your word against theirs that your attorney sent appeal in guess who going suffer for all that too until they take everything you have and what you wanted to give to your kids.

    • @kimnorton1070

You probably wouldn't see it that way if you had paid on for nearly 30 years I was even told that all the help from government due to covid didn't apply to me so it was apparently who you are as to what you might qualify for although I never quite understood that when the pandemic was worldwide but maybe I'm just not educated enough to get it I am just an old country girl and very proud of it and my family and children my husband and I raised 3 daughters and were very Blessed to have all 3 and all 3 went to college not because we had money to send them it was because of their hard work I still have no son in laws yet or Grandchildren but that's ok I've always loved children and I still love being around my great nieces and nephews and whoever else doesn't mind me enjoying when my pain and health doesn't prevent it. God Bless you Carol I pray God puts you in your dream home for your family soon I still believe dreams can come true God first all things are possible through Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior Amen

At 25:38 after something fell on the floor I heard a woman's voice like a little laughter, and than after you left the room and heard something else fall you were right the white book that was on the floor wasn't there when you left the room the first time. I thìnk you are right about how it would be good to have a time limit. I think that if a place has been unoccupied for 5 years then unless the owners have registered an intent to use the building with the local authorities & to take up use of it within a year, then the local authorities should have the right to take charge of the building & to make a photographic record of it, put the personal possessions e.g. jewellery, handmade items, artworks, photos, heirlooms, certificates, writings, quality clothing, of the ex-residents into safe storage for 6-7 years, in case any family turn-up & to make such repairs as are necessary to make the house possible to rent out as a home to those in need. If the local authorities do not hear anything from inheritors within 12 years of the house falling empty then they should be able to start a procedure to take the house fully into local authority ownership to use for the good of the local community & the personal possessions should go firstly to a local historical society in case there is anything of local interest & anything remaining to be sold for charity.
The current situation where houses are just left to fall down benefits no-one. Whereas if local authorities took charge after five years the houses would be preserved & providing any potential inheritors contact the authorities within 12 years they could regain ownership by paying for any repairs done.

Hi Dave, wow that was hard to get into this house. How on earth did you no it was there, great find,it was a lovely little house,it did look like it had been ransacked.Dave you must be open to spirits, when that book fell to the floor there was a little voice like in one of your other videos, could not make out what it said but I definitely heard it.The spirits like you Dave, you should look into it more you could be a medium but you don’t realise it.You should ask if someone in your family was open to spirits, and it has been passed to you.I no you might think I am a crank, but something always happens when you are exploring.Thank you Dave I really enjoyed watching your video, and I love how you always find the story behind the abandoned property.Stay safe Dave.❤️❤️❤️

Most of the books at home are in Russian and French, but there was one book in Bulgarian. There was a book about the history of the language (Russian). The portrait on the ground floor is most likely a portrait of Pushkin (the great Russian writer).
The first letter gives instructions on what needs to be done, as well as a request to plant something on the grandmother’s grave and where to get a watering can and a spatula.
In the second letter, there are arguments that old people with their illnesses should not change their usual way of life, this can harm them.
Perhaps elderly parents lived in this house and when they were gone the house was abandoned.

I think when people get old and are in pain...it doesn’t really matter to them anymore...the mail, the clothes, the dirt...it’s just because they cannot live life as they used to. So things pile up, things get dirty, and there loved ones are already gone...and they’re just waiting to leave this life behind. That’s how and why these places seem the same. Thank you for the interesting but sad explore.

What a fascinating little getaway this cottage was. It didn't look as if anything had ever been 'high-end' or seriously renovated so must have belonged to someone with a moderate income and/or habits. And who truly went there to relax among the things they enjoyed, like countryside, books and music. As the deep dark secret is anecdotal I'd suggest it didn't really exist. Just because someone isn't out and about being seen doesn't mean they are in any kind of difficulty. This place was meant as a retreat and may have been strictly used as such. And clearly someone with a disability was using it (adapted staircase, Zimmer frame and bed downstairs). It's easy to weave stories and get spooked by a falling book but generally speaking these abandoned places are just that. Abandoned when owners get old, can no longer cope and die. There doesn't need to be a mystery. Old abandoned places speak for themselves and its their history that's so interesting, not half made up rumours handed on from person to person. Thank you for a really detailed and interesting look around!

Uh, how can you dismiss the book falling off the shelf completely independent of any external force? Books don't just jump off shelves by themselves. If the TH-camr didn't play a prank, you can't logically dismiss that. He seemed genuine to me.

Wow this episode I just loved. It reminded me of my in laws house in France not the disrepair of the house but the books and the set up of the furniture, it's a very typical French country home of a few years ago I think you were right it looks like older people lived there. My in laws passed away last year from Covid19, we couldn't go to see them because it was in the middle of the pandemic I am American and my husband is French we moved to the USA a couple years ago but I remember it was kind of full of books and stuff my brother in law had to deal with the sale of the house he paid for people to come and clean and take everything to organizations for the poor they had beautiful antique things I brought back some that fit in my language like a 120 year old soupier that was my husband's greatgrandmother and other items. The house was sold ,but at the end I think you were right those people in that house kinda became horaders, my in laws at the end were,in August we are finally going back the lived in a suburb of Paris we personally have our apartment in Lyon France beautiful city Maybe you could check that area for abandon homes in the mountains of Lyon A big hello from Miami Florida

Dave I think that was a great look about I loved it. I’m glad that you were wearing a mask now you need to get gloves. You touch everything and with all that mold. You know I’m going to keep harping on this until you do it. Always watching out for your Health and well-being. I can’t believe your mates left you. What if you had fallen through the floor. You already had books being thrown at you. Not cool. Anyway great walkabout. Really enjoyed it. Like the backstory. Wish we could’ve figured out what happened there. Anyway sending sweet vibes from California as always 💜😎🤟🏻🇺🇸

I loved it, though the story was definitely was creepy! But the house itself was gorgeous and I can easily imagine what it would be like without the clutter and decay. I adore french decor. And all those books, even though I can't read a lick of Russian and only a tad of French, I'd want to save every one of them. I have a migraine but you had me laughing so hard with your "cockroach" joke. Josh's reaction was priceless! I have been watching and liking videos even when I don't comment. This was an excellent video! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's (Mark) out there! And you guys take care, stay safe and God Bless! xoxo 💞 Kat

Creepy house. At 25.31 a piece of ceiling fell between the book and the other piece of ceiling, it wasn't there at 25.00. At 25.37 there is what sounds like a cat with a broken meow. I heard footsteps following you when you were standing still. The vibes in that place are not pleasant. Great explore though Dave. Much love ❤

It is not surprising if things fall if your walking around a rotting abandoned house, and why would a cat haunt a place! The footsteps were the other people in the house with him.

    • @amybannister4021
      @amybannister4021 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@janetpendlebury6808 no one was moving when i heard the foot steps. As for the ghost cat, I worked in a fruit a veg shop in our small historic bush town of Toodyay. It was the original bakery before it became a private home. Not long after it was turned back into a shop. There have been many sightings of the shadow of a cat, many people have looked for a cat and pulled the curtain back thinking 'if theres anything here it cant run' only to be let the curtain go again and see the shadow of the cat right away. Its been investigated too. Animals haunt places just like we do, its where they want to be. Theres also a mean old man and a playfull young boy who died there. The boy would swap the fruit around, apple with the oranges, kiwi fruit with the lemons etc. I didnt believe it untill we had a quiet day and no one had been in for hours,, I went to check the fruit was still in order and was stunned to find it out of it place, I looked around but there was no one. My then partner said 'yeh that happens alot'. I felt i was nuts when i would ask the boy to please leave things alone, but it worked lol.

I appreciate you filming the place on your own! It’s great that you travel with your bros- but I love it when you have the time and mind space to give your take on a place. You are really good narrating by yourself. Besides your aura must touch other spirits- we would have missed on the book tossing if you were with the other guys! Happy that you are still filming places!

I enjoyed your narration, especially what you said about books. The title of the book at 8:41 was 'Moscow.' Maybe they were thinking about their old country? And maybe the 'bath tub' at 9'03 was a mop sink. Or not. I didn't notice a bathroom in the video, not to say there wasn't one.
