I have the wet back problem as well when carrying a backpack. Why not find a way to mount the backpack on the back of your bike?

I totally agree ! I even have matching bags for my bike, but was a) too lazy to mount them for that quick ride and b) was in worry, that the ICOM could be damaged by the Vibrations. But this is solveable....
