Not Sarah but I can answer: ALL earned income over $600 is reportable and combined for tax purposes-UNLESS you are realty really really rich and have several lawyers working full time to make sure that you pay next to nothing:(
Hi Paul! I am not an accountant but my understanding is that any income is supposed to be declared, some countries have a minimum amount required, but I think we don't. On the flipside, New Zealand might be the easiest country in the world to file a tax return manually with the ird. If you have made a profit, you can just follow the on-screen instructions with the income tax declaration on the ird website, it's honestly a breeze.

That's a fair question. I have made videos like that before but they have bombed, haha. There is so much negativity and people both offline and on TH-cam will be so hateful and tell you "it doesn't work, it's all luck etc" - when in reality, the quote that I pinned to this video is the most accurate quote I have ever read. Getting good at something very rarely happens overnight. It requires consistently falling over, getting up and then trying again, then falling over learning lessons and then getting up and trying again. It's literally how babies learn to walk. That is why persistence and Grit are the #1 trait that all successful people have in common when they are studied by psychologists.
Great video :) I created a new tiktok/youtube account for motivational life quote videos (which is probably too oversaturated) and I use canva, mic monster/stock videos etc, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong as I don't get many views or engagement at all. Do you have any info about how to get videos seen? What hashtags to use etc. I enjoy making them & want to try to eventually make some money as a side hustle as I'm a stay-at-home parent. Hello, welcome to the channel 👋 most of these websites are tablet friendly. I don't think I would want to do a side hustle though that involves a lot of typing like writing an ebook using a tablet though. In saying that, I have written video scripts entirely from my phone that contain thousands of characters, lol, so when there is a will there is a way 😉

Great video! i would like to warn people, about the youtube payout for those types of videos using stock images and ai voice. really low payouts ($1-$2 max per 1k views) also its saturated. with Ai softwares people can make those types of faceless videos in 2 minutes now. so everyone is trying to do it. also because the quality of those videos are so bad and not really original, youre youtube channel will get demonetized after a few months. so imagine, you worked on that channel for 4-5 months to get monetized. (4k watch hours &1k subs) finally you get monetized and a month later they ban your channel. its a waste of time. hope this helps some of you from wasting your time with that method!
Thank you, but I do disagree with this. I have a good friend with a purely ai channel in the health niche. Their channel cpm is around $6. It has nothing to do with whether you use an AI voice or not - low cpms are to do with niche & demographics being reached.

Setting up an etsy shop isn't free now. Etsy now making new shop owner pay $15 to set up the shop.
It's true - they did announce that *some* stores (not all - some - still no clarification on which ones!) are being charged $15. This video has been in production for 2 months, so I didn't add in that announcement since I don't know anybody yet who has been charged $15. I am actually not personally opposed to it, there are so many scammers on Etsy, this will help cut back on a lot hopefully!

A lot of these are the best and luckiest scenarios aren't they? They all seem doable but the sucess rate is really low
There is zero luck with any of the websites that involve you spending your time to complete tasks. Did you watch the video fully through and not skip over any of it? But, in regards to the websites that let you set up businesses - as I said to someone else, there is always some luck involved in a business, but it is always way less than people think it is.
For example, I have stumbled upon subniches on Etsy accidentally that are lucrative. However the reason why I stumbled on them was I was putting other products out there, trying new things, and put out some products in adjacent subniches that allowed me to accidental find these ones.
Was it luck? Yes. Did the luck happen because I was constantly putting myself in chances to get lucky? Yes.
Content getting picked up by algorithms requires some luck for the algorithm to pair it with its correct audience. But once it does you are smooth sailing. But to do that, you need to be willing to be putting yourself in chances to be successful. If someone doesn't want to do that, I understand. I would recommend they stick then to a job where they get guaranteed income in exchange for their time.
I also did not pick examples of the most successful accounts out there doing this either, for this very reason - people go "but that is the best case scenario" - so I didn't show those. I should also note, I had 100 websites to get through for this video, so I couldn't go in depth into each side hustle that can be done on these websites. I highly recommend watching videos dedicated to them though on TH-cam if any of them sparks an interest!

I can't answer that question sorry. Every country/jurisdiction has its own laws. You will need to research the local laws where you live 🙏
One caveat for older folks, you probably aren't going to be accepted by many of these sites. In particular, the survey sites aren't looking for people over 50 or so.
I dunno, I have seen on reddit a lot of people aged 50+ doing these focus groups/case studies. It probably depends on other demographics, like what your past career experience is.

I recommend watching videos and channels dedicated to that topic if you are interested in it. It comes down to having exciting titles and thumbnails. I have started other channels/TikToks and it takes me usually 4-5 videos to get the ball rolling. However, this is just a website list overview video so again, I highly recommend watching dedicated videos if this is a side hustle you are interested in!

I am honestly not sure what to say as a New Zealand citizen, there is no adsense tax information, you declare that you are not a usa citizen and digitally sign the tax form and then that's it. It is just treated like normal income here and I pay income taxes on it like I would if I worked a job.

This is odd filling in a Singapore form (because they are in some weird tax treaty relationship) and with the U.S so im going to follow your suggestion and see what happens and if doesn't go through or accepted then ill try another way or get another accountant. I finally got 1K Subs on another channel but I wanted set up adsense for it but it says I haven't met the threshold and now following the 5 step process to get paid from ads
Nothing odd about it at all. The TH-cam office for the Asia Pacific region is in Singapore. I have personally visited it. You just digitally sign the tax waiver form and that's it, you are done. Your payments technically are deposited from Singapore. They probably don't have much experience with this, so it seemed confusing to them! Singapore as a country is set up for tax waivers as it one of 2 financial hubs in Asia which is probably why Google chose it for the TH-cam office.

Successful at what? A lot of different websites with a range of side hustles were shown in this video. In addition, with business, there usually is some luck involved, but it's less than people think. In reality, the people that are successful are the ones that give themselves the best chance to be lucky, by continuously trying. I have been lucky for example to stumble into lucrative subniches on Etsy I didn't initially realize existed. But the reason why I accidentally stumbled on them was I put out a product in an adjacent subniche. If I hadn't been putting out the work, I wouldn't have had the chance to get lucky.

This is a great video that she put a huge amount of time and research into.
In fact, unless you make highly informative videos as she does, you would have no idea just how much time and effort goes into making them because her presentation skills are excellent and she exudes a natural confidence due to her own experience and success.
No one said it was easy, but these things are all doable, and not rocket science.
In fact, I have done well in a small sub-niche on a very large online crowdfunding platform.
I had come across it in the past, but never looked into it or paid any attention to what it actually was.
One day a brother of mine brought it up and told me what he knew about it and how he thought I could use my creative skills and make some extra money as a side-hustle.
We brainstormed some ideas, and I settled on the simplest thing I could do that would make good use of skills and not require an investment of any kind.
I researched what some of their top money-maker categories were, and even though I could not actually create one of those products, I could niche down and offer a very inexpensive, small item that might make me a modest couple hundred dollars if I was "lucky".
But I did MUCH better than that (I'd say due to my researching that category).
And what I was shocked to learn, was that my brothers, (as supportive and positive as they were), never believed I would make any money.
Boy, were they surprised! 😂
They thought it would just be a good experience for me to get my feet wet and try out the platform.
So now, it's not "just" a side-hustle.
And no, it wasn't luck. I did a lot of researching to find the right category and niche for me.
And I am working on ways to expand those all the time.
It's hard, it's fun, and I'm my own boss. But I made my own luck on a platform that has only a 39% global success rate.

Etsy isn’t free anymore. It’s $15 to open a new shop.
It is $15 for "some" shops to open, not for all users. It's super odd! I haven't had anyone tell me that they have been charged the fee yet, so I included it. This video took 2 months to make so I already had this video part way finished when they announced that change, but I do think it's good to note in case someone does get charged it!

It's so bizarre to me when people say these sorts of oddly negative things like "these websites don't work" despite the fact I proved that I and others do indeed use these to earn money... I genuinely don't know what to say to this! Lol
You should only talk to get to the point, frustrating
I mean, I talk about 100 different websites in 45 minutes. That is less than 60 seconds per website on average. I pack a lot of value into this video really, quickly. I don't know how I could have "gotten to the point" faster, tbh! I have had lots of people tell me the opposite, that I was too fast. I guess you can't please everyone, haha.
