This, along with the Tudor BB54 is one of the best reasonably priced releases from watches and wonders - the Riviera is a very underrated watch with a fantastic movement
Baume & Mercier was great in the 80s and then a little bit forgotten, but i think since about 2 years or so they started a comeback.....looks great... greets BM
I tried on the 42mm Riviera, it was too big for my wrist. I backed off. Now they finally have 39mm. I think it is time Baumé Mercier having a come back🥂
II have been having the same problem for about 15 years. I have thin wrist and even though I like many watches I haven't bought any because they all tend to be way too big, 42mm or even larger. Ideally I'd want to have a watch no larger than 38mm but will have a look if the 39mm Riviera suits me.
This all depends on the person and their wrist size. I have seen other TH-cam videos where people complain about the Rolex Daytona being too small but not everyone has large wrists. I'd much rather have a 39 or 40MM watch. The 42MM Riviera has a lug to lug width of 49MM which might be too big for someone with a 6 inch wrist.
Not a brand I've really looked at much in the past, but that Riviera collection has a fantastic aesthetic! Definitely going to make it's way onto my list!
BM had been lost and all but forgotten in the last decade or so. These releases are absolutely wonderful and I hope they make a huge comeback. They’ve always been a great brand.
I used to have the 42mm variant of Riviera Baumatic and for the price point it offered really great value for money: special looks, great caliber and beautiful finish. Only reason I sold it was that 42mm version felt a bit too large for my wrist. Cannot wait to try the new 39mm version out!
I really like B+M. You get a lot of heritage from the boom of steel sports watches and their movements are great for the price of their watches. Sapphire dials are really unique too.
Finally!!! Are they releasing the normal riveria with the blue and wave (green wave design) not transluscent one in 39 as well? I prefer the solid dials.
I’ve been looking for a rectangular watch and I think I’ve just found it. I want a Reverso but I can’t afford one, but that Hampton is beautiful and much more realistic!! Nice one Tedster…!!😂
Such underrated watches! Really worth trying them on wrist - the finish is so good. The Riviera makes a mockery of the price IWC are asking for their Ingenieur. At 39mm it will be perfect, especially as more dial options are rolled out. The Clifton makes an excellent dress/formal/office watch - very few around of that quality at this price.
Just re watched this video and just as he said, the Perpetual Calendar version is out. I must not have paid attention to the specifications that were given, like the movement, etc. I think 20k is a big stretch even if is a limited series of 50 pieces. What do you think @Baldassarre?
Beautiful watches from BAUME & MERCIER. I am pleased to see that the HAMPTON collection is still alive. I don't understand why it is so difficult to add the day on this kind of watches. I don't ask a triple calendar, just a number from 1 to 31. ???? The B & M representative need an intensive training with you in USA. His accent is funny. Thank you TEDDY, it is great to discover with you all the new watches from the best Brands.
The Riviera collection is beautifully designed, the Baumatic movement is impressive, the warranty is awesome and it is very reasonably priced. What a great value at that price point, specially when compared to overpriced watches (in my opinion) like the IWC Ingenieur. Keep it up Baume & Mercier!
I can see this Riviera Perpetual Calendar become the ultimate watch like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin. Dial colour is timeless, the font of all the writing and numbers are perfect, not to mention the proportions of the watch! From a well-respected maison.
The smoke grey dial on bracelet in 39mm is just OUTSTANDING. I am super pumped about this release and can't wait to see them in person at the ADs. This is one that's definitely jumped high into my list. Thinking about the overpriced IWC Ingeneur? I guarantee this watch gives it a run for it's money, not to mention it's the same movement lol.
H Teddy, Thanks for covering some of the more exiting brands as well! I like Baume & Mercier very much. It’s such an underrated brand. I definitely have a look at the Rivera 39. The 42 was wearable for me but seems to be a bit too prominent for my personal taste. Best regards, Claus
Hi, could you do a review on Raymond Weil watches. Ever since i was little i always thought they were top quality watches, as i got older i discovered other brands and forgot about Raymond Weil. Would be nice to see what they are up to these days.
The Riviera has always been a classic, and I actually prefer its look to the Royal Oak. It's an integrated sports watch, but has that extra touch of class that lets it serve as a semi dress piece as well (I'm the type who finds large loud watches awful on a suit, it just screams 'look at my expensive branded shit')
Love that Riviera Perpetual Calendar. Unfortunately, out of my price range and probably too limited in production anyway. Will they be releasing a regular production version too?

I love that perpetual. Great shade of salmon, and I've always liked that 4ish register perpetual layout with a moonphase.
I am admittedly a student of B&M and am honestly blown away by the value proposition and unique design elements of the Riviera.
Love this session … B&M is a great “discovery” (for me). That 39 mm Riviera with all its strap combinations looks fantastic! ❤😊❤
Baume & Mercier was great in the 80s and then a little bit forgotten, but i think since about 2 years or so they started a comeback.....looks great... greets BM
Black friday deal, could not pass this by. This is a beautiful watch all-round. I got the translucent blue riviera. Simply amazing!!!!
Thank you for featuring this brand. They deserve the coverage. Really good watches at very reasonable prices.
That translucent crystal dial is spectacular
I tried on the 42mm Riviera, it was too big for my wrist. I backed off.

Good video. Can someone tell me if the 2 pins at 2 and 8 o clock disturb the luck at the Riveria blue dial?
Great timepieces for the price, thanks ❤️👍🏴
Not a brand I've really looked at much in the past, but that Riviera collection has a fantastic aesthetic! Definitely going to make it's way onto my list!
Wow….lovely pieces….they hit it out the park!
Honestly, I have become smitten by the Riviera.
It's nice, isn't it. 👍
Same
i own te riviera 10617 and it is by far the best watch i ever owned.
@@Tom_OB What other watches do you owned or have owned?
@@eyeheartsushi2212 rolex datejust, hysek abyss, tag heuer carrera 02, maurice lacroix aikon skeleton and frederique constant.
Nice looking watches. Happy to see 39 is s more popular choice of size
This is really impressive. 39 looks like the perfect size too. The color on the titanium is really nice and that's definitely the one on my radar.
The Moonphase is dope-a-matic! Great video Teddy.
One of the best looking and best watch Baumé Mercier has made in decades. Love it❤️
Fantastic video and beautiful timepiece, offering support, classic and elegance
Beautiful peices, that blue dial and the heritage is so good, hope to get this in the near future.
What is the lug to lug for tge Riviera please?
BM had been lost and all but forgotten in the last decade or so.
These releases are absolutely wonderful and I hope they make a huge comeback. They’ve always been a great brand.
And it's a real shame too because they're one of the old ones

13:59 - Riviera Perpetual Calendar - what is price in Swiss ?
Great discovery which makes me want to look at B&M a bit more seriously, thank you Teddy!
First off, great video! I really like the collection overall. The gold moon phase with the gold colored ring around the date is outstanding!
I’m going to buy one ,thanks ❤️🏴👍
All three collections are just so beautiful.
Super underrated brand. I am going to buy the 39 Riviera this coming Xmas.
Wow, just wow! That riviera perpetual calendar is truly one of the most interesting timepieces I have seen in a long time. Very well done B&M 👏🏻👏🏻
Yeah sadly pricey and strictly limited for a Baume and Mercier. But looks really stunning!
@@derKunstler Agree! Wonder how it will sit at the secondary market.
Teddy you're the modern ambassador for watches. Congrats. Big responsibility. Stay humble, trust yourself and work hard.

Any chance you've tried out the 39mm? Considering this watch, but looking for feedback.
One of these Rivieras will be my next watch ❤
That perpetual calendar/moon phase is beautiful! Great value for such a high complication masterpiece!
Beautiful watch! Well done!
I own two Baume and Mercier Capelands and I love them. I WILL buy this Riviera. Great looking watch.
A diver that doesn't look like every other diver - it's a very attractive watch!
I really like B+M. You get a lot of heritage from the boom of steel sports watches and their movements are great for the price of their watches. Sapphire dials are really unique too.
What is the lug-to-lug of the 39mm riviera. the 42mm is just to big with a lug-to-lug to around 51mm if I'm correct?
Correct, I have the 42mm, lug to lug is roughly around that in mm
I’d love for you to give your opinion on the best “non-round” watches, from affordable to luxury.
I just bought the limited 2 tone. Stunner
The Riviera Azur is a beauty along with the perpetual calender
Finally ! A 39mm Riviera ! My prayers have been answered !
What's the true lug to lug of the 39mm? I hearing it still wears quite large because of the endlink design.
Baume, for sure
Such underrated watches! Really worth trying them on wrist - the finish is so good. The Riviera makes a mockery of the price IWC are asking for their Ingenieur. At 39mm it will be perfect, especially as more dial options are rolled out. The Clifton makes an excellent dress/formal/office watch - very few around of that quality at this price.
Totally agree!
Finally 39!!! All Baume Mercier watches are screaming for 37-39mm versions from the design point of view.
Good looking perpetual calendar!
Hi Teddy when will the new Rivieras be available at your website ?
These are beautiful watches and the work they have put into them looks great. They are standing out at the price.
Just re watched this video and just as he said, the Perpetual Calendar version is out. I must not have paid attention to the specifications that were given, like the movement, etc. I think 20k is a big stretch even if is a limited series of 50 pieces. What do you think @Baldassarre?
Enjoy your content…thank you! Would love to hear your latest take on “best” chronographs at 40mm or less. Quartz and Mechanical.
I love the Riviera
Nothing beats the Clifton Baumatic 5day COSC.
Beautiful watches from BAUME & MERCIER. I am pleased to see that the HAMPTON collection is still alive. I don't understand why it is so difficult to add the day on this kind of watches. Thanks for the cover. The blue is addictive and enticing
Never looked at B&M this is a really nice looking watch with an interesting movement. Is it the same movement as the IWC igenieur?
I have the Riviera with the moon dial. This my go to daily watch.
Will Baume et Mercier have a Riviera model that has a bracelet in Titanium in addition to the case?
The Riviera collection is beautifully designed, the Baumatic movement is impressive, the warranty is awesome and it is very reasonably priced. What a great value at that price point, specially when compared to overpriced watches (in my opinion) like the IWC Ingenieur. Keep it up Baume & Mercier!
This brand has been on my radar lately, I’m thinking on pulling the trigger on the riviera 100%
Baume et Mercier is such an under appreciated brand.
Wow, so original!
Great under the radar piece
I wish this watch had a option without the Roman numerals at 12 and 6.
I have to say sorry ORis, I like your watches , but the new Riviera 39 is just amazing, already ordere mine.

Love that Clifton moon phase ❤️
Riviera looks amazing, better than Royal Oak! Clifton the same. These are great value time pieces. I don't understand how they don't get as much love.
I’m waiting for this model to come out with the green version of the 39mm. It would be a must buy for me.
Hampton blue looks super cool! What's the movement accuracy per day?
Riveria is so nice. Was waiting for a GMT version but hey still a very nice watch . My next watch
instant love for that Riviera 39mm
Is this an integrated bracelet on the 39 mm Riviera
39 mm is perfect😍
Is that a purple - navy dial colour or is it just the lighting?
H Teddy,

that perpetual calender is smoking hottt

The value is unreal
Did B&M stop making chronographs? I own a 38.5mm Copeland made 2001 still runs perfectly and love it
I like the diver and the 39 Riviera version
Baume & Mercier is an awesome brand!
The Riviera has always been a classic, and I actually prefer its look to the Royal Oak. Will they make the regular automatic version in 39mm?
Any updates on Tissot new watches ?
Why can't I find the blue 39mm Riviera in bracelet anywhere?
Also what is lug to lug on the riviera as it is beautiful and more versatile than IWC Ingeniur
B&M, a brand to be taken seriously.
Love that Riviera Perpetual Calendar. Unfortunately, out of my price range and probably too limited in production anyway. Will they be releasing a regular production version too?
6:00 - Baumatic should be above 6 or swiss made on one side of 6 and Baumatic on the others. Off balance not being centered
That perpetual is stunning.
Hi Teddy, what would be the thickness of the Riviera Perpetual?
The only thing I don’t like is when I look at the watch I thought it was an alpine eagle
Super underrated brand
Hey teddy
Please suggest me best dress watch under 500 to 600 dollar.
Dial colour of the perpetual dial is parchment
These are very nice.
