    I ordered a B&M Clifton Moonphase from AJ at Teddy B’s this morning. Teddy has some of the best watch videos on TH-cam but it’s also a great place to do business. 120 hours of power reserve, WHAT! Great video! Love the blend of travel and watch review. Bravo! 😊

      I love Teddy's videos and I appreciate his work.
      Clifton was on my radar for a long time (still is) as a dress watch, congrats on your addition!
      Yeah, I prefer to include travel videos from the outside because that's when you wear the watch most of the time. It's boring if you only wear it by your work desk. :)
      Cheers mate!

    The fact that this model and brand are a little more niche and hidden is something i really like! it also keeps the price lower and the value high! So lets not publicise it too much haha

      Great comment. It really is a hidden gem. But I feel that B&M is doing a good job altogether, and ramping up its marketing, so this may not be the case for long. :))

    Beautiful watch. Been studying the brand. Lots of watch enthusiasts online, put Baume and Mercer down, claiming no name to fame. They have the Horology I am looking for. As well as my style of beautiful time pieces. Your of introducing watches and displaying them is great. Thank You.

    I just got my Riveriera 10717 yesterday and I am absolutely in love with it. It's 300m WR, 120 days PR, barely 12mm thick with a COSC movement. Without a doubt the most unique diver available on the market. It's price point is amazing for such a superior watch, and to me, is worth significantly more than what it retails at. Not to mention the quick release bracelet!

    Thank you for the video. This watch is absolutely gorgeous and if I by one it’ll be this exact same model. The only thing that is giving me doubts is their cut to fit solution for the strap. It’s kind of a dealbreaker, actually. In any case, absolutely beautiful timepiece

      Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the video. The watch is amazing. Still in my regular rotation, and very versatile. The strap fit is not a big issue, unless you plan to sell it fast, in which case better not buy it in the first place. But even when you cut it, you still have an option size it by around 0.5cm to make it fit for both cold and hot days.

    Very nice video. Gondolas in Venice will always do the job and fit your Riviera perfectly.
    My only remark is the transparent dial showing all dates. If you discarded the Defy a regular dial seems to be the logical choice since this one imo is also slightly busy.

    • @aficionadospace
      @aficionadospace  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, I appreciate it. Very good comment and point made about the dial. The transparent dial on Zenith Defy is a bit busier to my eyes tbh.. And it's not only that, but it makes hands really difficult to see and you really have to focus to find them. :) Riviera is a bit more subtle and you really need to be under a lot of light to see that transparency. Usually it's mostly greyed out and hands are very distinctive, especially with rose gold edges. But I still like Defy. It was a decision I made and based on how much I've been wearing it since I got it, it was a good one. :)

    Great review! I absolutely love my Riviera 39mm. I think it's one of the best values in luxury watches, especially when you compare it to sister brands like IWC and their Ingenieur, which is essentially the same watch plus $9,000USD. Crazy. This Riviera will serve me well as my "luxury integrated bracelet sports watch" for the foreseeable future without the desire to spend ludicrous money on something like a Royal Oak, Nautilus, etc. The only other watch in this segment that I can see myself adding to the collection would be the Chopard Alpine Eagle, but that won't be for a long while down the line, if at all.

      Hey man, thanks for watching and commenting. To answer your question, I don't have a single mark on my bezel. I've been wearing the watch non-stop for the last 2-3 months, played golf with it, swam with it, and it's pretty resistant. To be honest, I don't think I really banged it against something to really look for marks, but I did graze it on a few occasions and that didn't leave any scratches. Hope that helps. Cheers!

    I do really like this watch. I'm considering the latest green dial. The baumatic movement has cosc and non cosc variants, the Clifton is clearly identified cosc (stated on the dial) but the Riviera does not state cosc. Are you sure the Riviera has the chronometer version?

    • @aficionadospace
      @aficionadospace  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey man, thanks for the comment! The green dial is definitely intriguing. A bit too vibrant for my taste, I'd prefer if it was more of an olive green tone. It only comes on a bracelet if I'm not mistaken? But surely a rubber strap can be ordered separately (I made another video on that).
      Yes, Riviera movement Baumatic BM13-1975A is COSC certified. It actually holds time better than my Rolex GMT Master II.

    Great review 🫶 I really like this model with blue dial. Last year I bought blue dial Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 which makes me think twice whether Both watches are similar in terms of use and position for a watch collection ? In terms of movement, quality and brand recognition, ofcourse they are totally different classes. Should I still pull the trigger for B&M riviera

    • @aficionadospace
      @aficionadospace  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks man. In my opinion, B&M is a class above Tissot, if not two. Tissot is a brand for the masses, and even though they really made a great watch in PRX and Gentleman, it's still not close to B&M when it comes to design, movement, dial execution, finish and overall quality. Whether you buy B&M Riviera probably depends on the rest of your watch collection, how it fits it, your budget and how you feel about it based on the research you did on it.. Hope that helps. :)

    • @aficionadospace
      @aficionadospace  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question, and a very difficult one to answer. Looking at C24 prices, it's still where it was 5 months ago when it was released. So you can get it on C24 for around 3500 new, which is what I paid. Obviously, mine is worn now, so probably worth around 500 less. But considering inflation, in the next 5-6 years I think it will definitely keep that price, no doubt. You also never know, maybe it becomes one of the classic pieces too. Maybe B&M increases in popularity altogether and that drives prices of their watches up too.. It's very difficult to predict anything, just commenting on different things that could happen. But in any case, I don't see it dropping below 3000 ever. It's a luxury timepiece, and they mostly keep some level of value all the time. Hope that helps, cheers!

    Dear Sir, another question is coming up, and regarding the fact that you have obviously better connections to baume et mercier,
    the hour maker and the indices seemed to be made of rose gold, but a friend from the watch industry said, he doubted this material by a price of only 4250. euros, (rolex for ex, is using white gold in the submariner steel version for hour makers and indices but this watch is at nearly 9.000 euros)he thinks this material could be rather copper? I am just asking, because the B-et-M advertising and even in your great video you mentioned the rose gold pvd plate between the Ti bezzel and the steal body, and the rose gold indices inside on the dial… so maybe try to ask this B-et- M? Thanks in advance, and then i can hopefully pull the trigger on this beauty🍀

      Regarding your question, I looked it up, and you are right. It's actually a 5N gold-plated PVD steel. 5N means it's red gold tone (75% gold and 25% copper), and PVD is more durable, higher quality and longer lasting coating than the regular plating. Hope that helps! :)
