The Age of Order ending is nothing like what you described it as. By using Goldmask's mending rune on the Elden Ring, it alters the fabric of reality so that the Golden Order (the main authority under which society is structured) actually functions under the doctrine which it says it would: all beings equal and beloved under the grace and love of the Erdtree. The gods and demigods altered and abused the Golden Order to carry out their personal and selfish whims, but the age of order nixes that and uplifts the world to peace and prosperity. There is nothing in the ending that implies free will is taken away or that the world will become one of hyper-religious dogmatism.
They also put it over the frenzied ending the ending that's the opposite of the dungs ending the one where you end suffering not create endless amounts

Age of the Duskborn doesn’t restore death to the natural order, it establishes Godwyn as first of the dead and effectively turns the Lands Between into Darksouls.

Rabbis ending is basically just a reset button. Erasing everyone and everything that came before and Turing the world into a moon. Age of order is not what you say. You don't just pacify everyone but rather rid the gods of their power making them on the same level as any other human, giving everyone free will and allowing the greater will to still influence the lands between.

Age of the Stars is my favourite because it returns hope to the Lands Between. On the contrary, Frenzied Flame is my favourite because life should not be allowed to exist. The heinous things that have happened in the Lands Between + the endless wars made it the shithole it is when we arrive

He got rid of the fickle humans made gods like Marika from the equation. Goldmask is essentially a Martin Luther figure. The church (aka golden order) misconstructed God's (in this case the greater will) message for their own power and political gain like the punishment of those who live in death or albinaurics. Heresy isnt even normal to the world if we listen to turtle pope. He essentially just prevents anybody expect something beyond human comprehension aka GW's natural law to rule rule so there is no bias in the elden ring. He basically puts the real God back in charge and solves racism.

Yeah, while I like Ranni's quest and ending age of order is the better moral choice imo. The amount of people who blatantly misunderstand it and act like it nukes free will are annoying. It basically just prevents someone from screwing up the world again because of grief or power hungry tyrants and leaves everything to a more perfect vision of the world under the greater will without it being misinterpreted to support genocide like Marika did.

It makes the Golden Order "perfect" and unalloyed, meaning it can never again be altered. Hermetically seal that shit and put a child lock on it. The ambitions being tempered aren't the free will of normal people, it's tempering the ambitions of anyone who wants to get ahold of the elden ring and change it again to bring about their age. Nobody in the future can shatter it again and scribble in their new edits. Under, say, Ranni's ending, there's actually nothing stopping from Dung Eater's bigger, angrier brother, the Shitlord, from coming into your age of stars, sticking both his fists up in there and making the age of super despair, or Miquela realizing they swing both ways and mind controlling Ranni to bring about the age of Blahaj. The age of order prevents this from ever happening again. The Shitlord can still show up and make YOUR day miserable, but he can't change the cosmology of the world as he does so, as he would be able to under any other ending (barring Frenzyflame, where he's on fire with everyone else) You're not lobotomizing anyone, the average person will be pretty much the same. There's just no longer the temptation for anyone to amass enough power to shatter the Elden Ring to change the Golden Order again, because that can no longer be done. This ALSO removes the influence of outer beings, because THEY can't change the rules either. The Formless Mother, or whatever flavor of space squid you like can still possess some poor sap and drive him bloody bananas, but they can't get ahold of the fundamental laws of the world anymore. The Golden Order becomes the primary and immutable foci of worship and ruling, instead of the Golden Order being merely the figurehead for whoever can muscle their way behind it. Like you did, like all the other ending people are trying to, like Marika did, and so on. The Age of Order ends the cycle of shattering and reforging in the name of whatever the current strongest guy believes in. The Age of Order is basically just the default ending +. Everything is gonna be pretty much the same as the default ending, except where the default ending is ensuring the status quo, down to a future war to do this all again, the Age of Order is status quo MINUS that inevitable future war. I mean, unless you headcannon your character scribbling in the rise of the crab men or something before the mending is complete.

I'm conflicted on the topic of whether Frenzied Flame is worse than Despair. At least Flame seems like a quick, final death for everyone, as opposed to Despair where all life is cursed to a sickened existence. It's the difference between death or prolonged torture. Most would see death as a mercy.

The age of duskborn doesn't really bring the natural cycle of death back but makes living within death a normal thing within the order and makes it what becomes of you if you die. Also when i think abt it now, the age of despair might not be as bad as it was initially given the new context from the dlc.
The Age of Order, is second to Ranni's in my opinion. It prevents Marika from abusing or even creating more loopholes that lead to this situation. Meaning she won't be able to freely remove grace like she did to Godfrey so she could pull another Radagon bs or steal your grace. It's not some mindless loss of freewill, it's a governance that the leader's can't turn into a dictatorship again. Also, to rank the cannibal pedo's std ending above it, let alone Frenzied Flame is wtf. Frenzied Flame might be the "bad touch" ending from the Three Fingers, but at least it didn't go around touching and eating the children

Some of the problems people have with Age of Stars seem to come from some of the mistranslated bits, making it sound like Ranni is creating a cold, emotionless, dark void where there is nothing. The more accurate translations seem to indicate that she's more about creating distance between those powerful concepts and the physical world, or transcending the physical world entirely. So less about creating an empty void of free will, it's about pulling the deep-set talons of abstract concepts and gods out of our everyday reality. They might still affect us, but they themselves have no true ability to act on their own. Honestly, with that reading the Age of Stars feels more like making the world to be how we understand it: humans believe in gods, and we have emotions, but those things (depending on who you ask) cannot truly act upon the world. They can influence us, but they have no agency of their own. The agency lies with US.
Honestly solid analysis, but the one thing you’re forgetting is that some of these endings leave a pretty big problem unsolved, which is Godwin’s death blight. Any ending that doesn’t solve this has automatically gotta get pushed down in the rankings. With that being said, I would rank the endings as this: 1) Age of Duskborn 2) Age of Stars (only cuz I don’t wanna reward ranni for being a sociopathic terrorist) 3) Frenzied Flame (everything is gone, but this includes Godwyn’s blight, so once Melina kills you, the world will eventually improve) 4) Age of Order (at least there are rules) 5) Age of Fracture 6) Age of Despair (everyone will still eventually succumb to death blight, but they’ll also be stricken with pox in the meantime, so just extra suffering)
I personally put Age of Order and Ranni as tied for number 1 and/or number 2 spot. Ranni returns mortal agency (for better or worse) and Goldmask delivers on the idealized promise of Marika's Golden Order. I'm a biased goldmask simp, but I'm confident he's capable of doing because he doesn't have her trauma related bias or the Fingers themselves getting directly involved. Besides, if Ymir's words from the DLC hold any water, we are *all* children of the Greater Will anyways, and I like my T-posing rainman 😢 Age of the Duskborn at 3rd because it makes undeath "natural" and theoretically brings peace between the living and the dead. A little unsettling and but also "nice". Age of Fracture at 4th: maybe Marika and Godfrey's ultimate vision, as the Elden Ring remains vulnerable to someone stronger who will invariably come one day. Age of Despair at 5... because, yea. Frenzied Flame at 6 because it's *literally* just giving up on everything and forcing everyone to do the same.
I hate the Frenzied Flame ending because the character kills Torrent. The cutscene was cool but doing the ending as a whole and Melina leaving forever after you go to the three-fingers made me feel bad doing it.

Age of stars objectively correct, but I would add the additional step of taking Frenzied Flame in order to take Melina's place so she doesn't die. You can cure it no downside later and Melina's only angry at you because she thinks you are actually going to go through with the ending.

The main thing the Age of Order does is prevent any further tampering of the Elden Ring and the Golden Order once it is fixed using the rune. It makes the Golden Order "perfect" and unalloyed, meaning it can never again be altered.
Hermetically seal that shit and put a child lock on it.
The ambitions being tempered aren't the free will of normal people, it's tempering the ambitions of anyone who wants to get ahold of the elden ring and change it again to bring about their age.
Nobody in the future can shatter it again and scribble in their new edits.
Under, say, Ranni's ending, there's actually nothing stopping from Dung Eater's bigger, angrier brother, the Shitlord, from coming into your age of stars, sticking both his fists up in there and making the age of super despair, or Miquela realizing they swing both ways and mind controlling Ranni to bring about the age of Blahaj.
The age of order prevents this from ever happening again. The Shitlord can still show up and make YOUR day miserable, but he can't change the cosmology of the world as he does so, as he would be able to under any other ending (barring Frenzyflame, where he's on fire with everyone else)
You're not lobotomizing anyone, the average person will be pretty much the same. There's just no longer the temptation for anyone to amass enough power to shatter the Elden Ring to change the Golden Order again, because that can no longer be done.
This ALSO removes the influence of outer beings, because THEY can't change the rules either. The Formless Mother, or whatever flavor of space squid you like can still possess some poor sap and drive him bloody bananas, but they can't get ahold of the fundamental laws of the world anymore. The Golden Order becomes the primary and immutable foci of worship and ruling, instead of the Golden Order being merely the figurehead for whoever can muscle their way behind it. Like you did, like all the other ending people are trying to, like Marika did, and so on. The Age of Order ends the cycle of shattering and reforging in the name of whatever the current strongest guy believes in.
The Age of Order is basically just the default ending +. Everything is gonna be pretty much the same as the default ending, except where the default ending is ensuring the status quo, down to a future war to do this all again, the Age of Order is status quo MINUS that inevitable future war.
I mean, unless you headcannon your character scribbling in the rise of the crab men or something before the mending is complete.

The age of duskborn doesn't really bring the natural cycle of death back but makes living within death a normal thing within the order and makes it what becomes of you if you die.
Also when i think abt it now, the age of despair might not be as bad as it was initially given the new context from the dlc.
I'm appreciative that my ending isn't in last place, but even I know that the age of order is better than mine.
The Age of Order, is second to Ranni's in my opinion. It prevents Marika from abusing or even creating more loopholes that lead to this situation. Meaning she won't be able to freely remove grace like she did to Godfrey so she could pull another Radagon bs or steal your grace. It's not some mindless loss of freewill, it's a governance that the leader's can't turn into a dictatorship again.
Also, to rank the cannibal pedo's std ending above it, let alone Frenzied Flame is wtf.

Some of the problems people have with Age of Stars seem to come from some of the mistranslated bits, making it sound like Ranni is creating a cold, emotionless, dark void where there is nothing.
The more accurate translations seem to indicate that she's more about creating distance between those powerful concepts and the physical world, or transcending the physical world entirely.
So less about creating an empty void of free will, it's about pulling the deep-set talons of abstract concepts and gods out of our everyday reality. They might still affect us, but they themselves have no true ability to act on their own. Honestly, with that reading the Age of Stars feels more like making the world to be how we understand it: humans believe in gods, and we have emotions, but those things (depending on who you ask) cannot truly act upon the world. They can influence us, but they have no agency of their own. The agency lies with US.
I think the frenzied flame ending gets a bit more credit if u watch the cut kale questline 😢

Honestly solid analysis, but the one thing you’re forgetting is that some of these endings leave a pretty big problem unsolved, which is Godwin’s death blight. Any ending that doesn’t solve this has automatically gotta get pushed down in the rankings. With that being said, I would rank the endings as this:
1) Age of Duskborn
2) Age of Stars (only cuz I don’t wanna reward ranni for being a sociopathic terrorist)
3) Frenzied Flame (everything is gone, but this includes Godwyn’s blight, so once Melina kills you, the world will eventually improve)
4) Age of Order (at least there are rules)
5) Age of Fracture
6) Age of Despair (everyone will still eventually succumb to death blight, but they’ll also be stricken with pox in the meantime, so just extra suffering)

Ranni returns mortal agency (for better or worse) and Goldmask delivers on the idealized promise of Marika's Golden Order. I'm a biased goldmask simp, but I'm confident he's capable of doing because he doesn't have her trauma related bias or the Fingers themselves getting directly involved. Besides, if Ymir's words from the DLC hold any water, we are *all* children of the Greater Will anyways, and I like my T-posing rainman 😢

Frenzied flame ending for me is the best because u destroy and kill everything its revenge against the golden order who fucked over the omens, nomadic merchants and those who live in death
Tarnished would be driven mad by dying numerous times, so them falling victim to frenzy, then burning the world makes sense
Things like sniper lobsters, flying birds with fucking blades, royal revenants, etc. In conclusion, frenzied flame best but age of order would be next following age of despair.
Honestly… I was working to get the age of stars until Iji, Blaidd, Alexander, and D died. Then I felt that burning the world was a far better option. Of course, I used Melina to burn the erdtree so she wouldn’t try to stop me.
