That one had been re-jetted and the restriction collar had been removed from the intake manifold, the baffle remained in however to maintain some semblance of civility. Thanks Nick Hine
Hi, The onboard stuff was filmed with a 6 inch suction cup/manfrotto adjustable mount stuck to the side of the clutch cover. No good for riding with though. Have you seen the VholdR helemt cam. We've used one of those recently and it's perfect for that sort of stuff although the quality isn't as good as a normal video camera. Cheers Nick Hine
This bike does 100mph out of the box and honda chokes it to death to meet EPA. It has no problem pulling all 5 gears. Good luck finding a bike that will keep up with this one on an open road. Or anywhere in a straight line for that matter
I agree...they do weigh 140kg's not 128. i'm 105kg's and 6'3 tall and I reckon i need avery part of my size to chuck the bike around. I've had an "04 xr650r now for last 10 months. its a beast to ride and handles anything i've chucked it into so far. Loves wheelies from 1st thru to 5th and at 140kph!! I had the crf450 before this and whilst the snappy power and lightness of the 450 was probably more fun, i'm yet to have to spend a cent on my 650 due to the supreme reliability of it.
Hi there I hit reserve after just 40 miles of fast riding. But you can double that if you ride gently, but then I guess you'd have to say what's the point of riding gently on a bike like this! Kind regards Nick Hine
I think I might have got some electrics wet on my BRP. Can't seem to get a spark and then it fires up and It suddenly pisses out a load of fuel? It's usually so well behaved. It's not the carb. bizarre.
If you put this bike on the road it would be much better if you sink about 3 grand into it - tire's- sprocket's - chain maybe - jetting - pipe - stage 1or 2 kit etcetcetc super moto tires and wheels I would just put a bigger rim on the back and keep the dirt type style tire's 17 inch rear to small
my god this is like the first video on youtube ever

Yes, yes I did. Ridden steadily it was fine but as soon as you started thrashing it, the fuel just dissapeared!
cheers

It's the Baja Champion do you live under a rock?
I had the exact same Golf 😅👌
I want one SO much. This video is NOT helping reduce my XRR lust any!!!
you'd be suprised man, im a bit in the stong catagory and i can handle it to a certain degree, but it is powerful as hell man.
It is in Sweden, so i bet it is in the UK too.
Great Review, especially the German accent :D

yep....all you need is proper signals and lights.
15 years..
can you make the 650R street legal?
how much?
you need to derestrict the exhaust, they weigh 140kg too
@toppo72 there is none ;)

Man when I see you driving on the wrong side freaks me out but we are on the wrong side for you Brits.
I like how this guy relates to different women when describing the weight of the XR650.
Typical Englishman.
Sorry, US.
that poor R derestrict the poor thing and rejet it...
