Lol that would've just made her worse, what they should've done is put more effort into making sure she felt loved and secure. If it wasn't possible to give both of them the attention they both needed then they shouldn't have considered adopting in the first place.
I agree it's not her little brother's fault he became an ORPHAN at such a young age sometimes things happen in our lives that are completely out of our control and sometimes there's nothing we can do to stop it and I didn't think it was possible to become jealous of an ORPHAN but I guess I was wrong you learn something new everyday

I think the answer is no. My husband had been a foster kid since he was a baby, and was with a really good foster family, until he was adopted for about 3 years of his life to some of the worst people around, then the adoptive family just dumped him at a hospital on christmas, he thankfully went back to the good foster family but had a lot of issues, so there was some special schools involved. I'm sure if going after the adoptive family was an option my now (foster) mil would have done it, she would do anything for the foster kids, and she even introduces my husband as her kid and always has. PS the family he was adopted by were also foster parents, and they never even lost their license, the state doesn't care who they give the kids to, they only care that a kid has a roof over their head.

Such as all the adults known and unknown around them are suddenly stressing out, in most cases it is only a few minutes or seconds of the event. As for talking to the doctors he was telling the information that given to him and to think it is verbatim is an assumption than is not justified, but that is his understanding of what was said. 3 year olds understand a lot more than most people realize. I remember 3 or 4 things that happened when I was 2. Such as moving.

Wonder if OP just quit calling if the parents would have even missed him and reached out. I doubt I would have given them the chance to be at the first wedding, but if I had I would have certainly told them they had a chance to redeem themselves with a second wedding and just never showed up to make them waste the time and effort.

I had the same situation as Jonathon. Only they had two bio kids who were much older than I. There daughter was 15 years and 3 months older than me and their son was 10 years and 3 months older than me. The only difference was my bio mother had mental issues. That is why she was not allowed to raise me. They did for their kids but as for me, I had to live life according to their rules. What they required of me was in no way required of their kids. They supported them but when I needed help, I was loaned money and had to pay back with interest. There are many more things that can be said about this situation but they and their kids are all deceased and I have reconciled myself to what happened.
Yeah about half way through I was like dude I understand you had some trauma but damn grow a pair quit feeling sorry for yourself, move away change your number and move on. He was correct at the end his brother in law did stop him feeling sorry for himself and I’m glad he broke the cycle and finally moved on.
I was trying to understand someone acting like Amber. Then I remembered my ex told complete lies about me all the time, and people believed her. My son now an adult still marvels over the things she told him about me when he was a kid. It's not that I've had to say so much. As an adult he knows they can't be true

Jealousy among siblings is quite normal but it tends to die as you get older, and realize how stupid it is. So it's quite weird seeing adults playing jealousy games among each other.

And mom doted on them all the time, even after she got sick with cancer and her daughters don't gave a crap about her and was I supporting her throughout the entire treatments, surgeries, chemo, etc. In the end, ( main reason that got me to go full NC with my family ) she went to the point of giving to her daughters, same daughters that not even a phone call did when she was sick, all the credit of her getting well. I quote " if ut wasn't for my perfect daughters, i wouldn't be alive today ". Not even a thank you i received. Instead i got shunned and humiliation from her and her reason for it and again i quote " you're a man, you do not need credits or thanks, and your sisters can't have their image stained, so it's more than fair that they take the credit and compliments for what you did ". Yes I had a brother that executed mental and physical abuse on my other brother and 2 sisters. Once he put me at the front door and threw a butcher knife like a knife thrower, I was only stabbed once but he threatened me to keep silent. There was many more things he did-he was an evil person…

*The same type of thing happened to me!!! My entire family treated me like a maid while I was living with them!* I had to live with them until I was 27 because of seizures. But, they used that to their advantage as using me as stress relief. None of my siblings didn’t clean up after themselves, and if the house wasn’t clean when my parents got home, they’d take it out on me. Even my sister that moved out would do things like make herself lunch, leave the leftovers on the stove, also leave trash and dishes on the counter, and just walk away. And the blame was put on me. Also, my younger brother bullied me, and my parents didn’t care. I finally was able to find an *incredible man* 🥰 that was able to help me! He didn’t like the environment I was put in, and wanted me out as soon as he could! During the wedding planning, *and wedding itself,* my parents were yelling about everything! And as soon as it was over, *I was gone!!!* My hubby’s been able to help me with my epilepsy. And since I moved away, they’ve gone down from 20 a month to *5!* I don’t know what I’d do without my man! *I love my hubby!!!* 🥰😘❤️❤️❤️
There is clearly a lot more to this story than the OP is writing about. He mentioned attending AA while in high school. Was he a violent drunk? Was he stealing to support his habit? He also knew what was written in his sisters' diary. How would he know that without having read it himself?
A combination of PTSD, survivors guilt, serious mental health issues and the neglect all likely led to that. I'd argue this part doesn't matter that much because he got help when he realized that it was getting bad. As for the diary thing. I suspect that he looked after the graduation incident where she accused him of pushing her down the stairs, and after that I'd honestly say he'd he in the right for doing so because he could have possibly been ARRESTED for that.
This story seems super sus and I get the feeling that OP isn't as much a victim as he's an opponent. OP had a traumatic brain injury at 3 years old and lost his parents. A 3 yo wouldn't remember their parents as an adult. They'd have to heavily rely on photos and no real memories of the parents. Also OP admits to having alcohol problems and violent outbursts. There's no way he's completely innocent.

They where terrible parents to both Johnathan and amber, all they did was enable her behavior, I mean, how come everytime Johnathan had a event, something came up with amber and they couldn't attend, this happened everytime and not one of the parents figured it out until op called them out? As crazy as this situation sounds, there's a huge red flag that shows it's fictional. And that's the OP saying they were 3 when they lost their bio parents. I can't remember jack-all from when I was 3. And neither could anyone I know. If this happened when the OP was 5 or 6, it would have been believable. But his earliest memories should have been something more like being a lonely orphan, than having PTSD of an accident his parents were lost in. I don't know where these stories are coming from. But the ones doing the creative writing really need to work on their believability.
It is true that you might not remember most things when you were three but I can tell you that when something really traumatical had happened, you WOULD remember! My friends was in a fire when he was 3 and still has issues ,...but I guess he is lying about it ... 😌

It's not that they remember it in detail, they instinctively remember the memory more than they do visually. A fear of fire, or cars, or anything like that would become more of an instinctive innate fear. But to remember it on the level of detail that this OP was saying, it's not something I can buy. I've also noticed that these stories that seem really fake are marked "MRA" in the descriptions. While any ones actually from a confirmed source are noted.
parents couldve adopted for the following reasons: -they wanted a child but not go through pregnancy...and op simply got too old and no longer cute (like some do with puppies) -they thought op would be a cute accessery to their daughter -they like their daughter are attention hoggers. they saw how much attention someone got for adopting so they did they adopted op because he was 3 or 4....so no diapers. he was "broken" so theyd look like his saviors

I had the same situation as Jonathon. Only they had two bio kids who were much older than I. There daughter was 15 years and 3 months older than me and their son was 10 years and 3 months older than me. The only difference was my bio mother had mental issues. That is why she was not allowed to raise me. They did for their kids but as for me, I had to live life according to their rules. What they required of me was in no way required of their kids. They supported them but when I needed help, I was loaned money and had to pay back with interest. There are many more things that can be said about this situation but they and their kids are all deceased and I have reconciled myself to what happened.

And mom doted on them all the time, even after she got sick with cancer and her daughters don't gave a crap about her and was I supporting her throughout the entire treatments, surgeries, chemo, etc.
In the end, ( main reason that got me to go full NC with my family ) she went to the point of giving to her daughters, same daughters that not even a phone call did when she was sick, all the credit of her getting well.

*The same type of thing happened to me!!! My entire family treated me like a maid while I was living with them!* I had to live with them until I was 27 because of seizures. But, they used that to their advantage as using me as stress relief.
None of my siblings didn’t clean up after themselves, and if the house wasn’t clean when my parents got home, they’d take it out on me. Even my sister that moved out would do things like make herself lunch, leave the leftovers on the stove, also leave trash and dishes on the counter, and just walk away. And the blame was put on me.
Also, my younger brother bullied me, and my parents didn’t care.
I finally was able to find an *incredible man* 🥰 that was able to help me! He didn’t like the environment I was put in, and wanted me out as soon as he could! During the wedding planning, *and wedding itself,* my parents were yelling about everything! And as soon as it was over, *I was gone!!!*
My hubby’s been able to help me with my epilepsy. And since I moved away, they’ve gone down from 20 a month to *5!*

There is clearly a lot more to this story than the OP is writing about.
He mentioned attending AA while in high school. Was he a violent drunk? Was he stealing to support his habit?
He also knew what was written in his sisters' diary. How would he know that without having read it himself?
A combination of PTSD, survivors guilt, serious mental health issues and the neglect all likely led to that. I'd argue this part doesn't matter that much because he got help when he realized that it was getting bad.
As for the diary thing. I suspect that he looked after the graduation incident where she accused him of pushing her down the stairs, and after that I'd honestly say he'd he in the right for doing so because he could have possibly been ARRESTED for that.
This story seems super sus and I get the feeling that OP isn't as much a victim as he's an opponent. OP had a traumatic brain injury at 3 years old and lost his parents. A 3 yo wouldn't remember their parents as an adult. They'd have to heavily rely on photos and no real memories of the parents. Also OP admits to having alcohol problems and violent outbursts. There's no way he's completely innocent.

As crazy as this situation sounds, there's a huge red flag that shows it's fictional. And that's the OP saying they were 3 when they lost their bio parents. I can't remember jack-all from when I was 3. And neither could anyone I know. If this happened when the OP was 5 or 6, it would have been believable. But his earliest memories should have been something more like being a lonely orphan, than having PTSD of an accident his parents were lost in. I don't know where these stories are coming from. But the ones doing the creative writing really need to work on their believability.
It is true that you might not remember most things when you were three but I can tell you that when something really traumatical had happened, you WOULD remember!

It's not that they remember it in detail, they instinctively remember the memory more than they do visually. A fear of fire, or cars, or anything like that would become more of an instinctive innate fear. But to remember it on the level of detail that this OP was saying, it's not something I can buy. I've also noticed that these stories that seem really fake are marked "MRA" in the descriptions. While any ones actually from a confirmed source are noted.
