Thailand - Thai soldier killed in fighting

Thai soldiers opened fire from Chong Chom, Thailand on Second Prime Minister Hun Sen's troops across the border in Cambodia on Wednesday (27/8) after a Thai soldier was killed and two injured when artillery overshot the border during a major assault on royalist soldiers.
Intense fighting with heavy artillery, mortars and small arms erupted on Wednesday afternoon. The fighting was the heaviest in two weeks around the border village of O Smach, where outnumbered and outgunned soldiers loyal to deposed co-premier Prince Norodom Ranariddh have put up a stubborn defence.

Hasha Thia soldiers across borderlands to fight Cambodia soldiers but, maybe they didn't know all cambodia military are Khmer Rouge soldiers remains. They use old weapon but, they had experience to fighting. Do you know how many Vietnam soldiers died in 1979-1989 when they fighted with Khmer Rouge soldiers?
