The only constraint is time, and ... why should I be my own slavedriver? I am happy and my lady as well and that's what counts.

    • @lisastone2324
      @lisastone2324 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      It may be a common question, but the entire point is that a truly intelligent interviewer can keep asking probing questions to ultimately determine the truth. It is essentially the difference between memorizing a part in a script and WRITING the entire script. Shallow people breeze by on (what they believe is) "charm"; whereas true thinkers produce results and know how to replicate the problem-solving process in any number of situations. That's what Elon means!

    • @StreetFighter2010
      @StreetFighter2010 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lisastone2324 I interview people regularly (I am a network architect). I expect engineers to be able to answer that question quickly and concisely with maybe one follow up question and we move on to the next topic. It is not an interrogation where I am looking to probe and probe like a security clearance polygraph test. But failure to have an example ready to discuss shows they are unprepared for the interview, especially if we clearly said we would ask that question beforehand.

    • @joannahernandez6977
      @joannahernandez6977 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Any problem you may have never let your mind trap you. When others have nothing wise to say they insult, it is but what they really are. A room is but an analogy to a problem, you may be there and not really know it, at least that is what he reply reflects, he is lost within himself, alone. From my personal near death experiences unfortunately too many j tell you regret is one of the worst feelings ever. You try in life, you don't fail, you tried, when you fail is when your too scared to even try and give up. That remember me will be your biggest pain. Regret. I rather die trying than give up to anything, the building the door or window is metaphorical in meaning. In plain language it means that I never give up, and will make a comeback from where they never expected me to. Those things are done with your brain, not by force. Hence one of the biggest muscles is your brain. It was my way of saying no matter what it may be if your right, you never give up, you fight, whether if your in a hospital bed or having personal or work problems, or your own health is failing to the point of no return. It was a message of hope and human understanding, with no malice intended, please be nicer towards me, the docs don't give me much hope you see. I am in palliative care, but I will not give up. I am still fighting for the human rights of others, and standing up for those who deserve credit for their work for the entire planet.
      Would you help Ukarians knowing who Putin is? The danger you are placing everyone near you is no joke, but his bravery goes unmerited. How many human lives have been saved thanks to Elon. Let's give credit were credit is due. Leave your envy, your materialism, out of the door, and think with clarity, Sir, with no disrespect meant to anyone.

    BRAVO!!! BEST ANSWER. For me whenever anyone asks me how I recovered from a fall down 15 stairs where I ruptured/ herniated 9 discs leaving my back in a double "s" curve...& do so w/o any surgeries. I not only walk again, I DANCE...and I do so & live w/o pain. It was an answered, MOST POWERFUL PRAYER.
    ASK GOD to heal your life in every way according to GOD'S Plan. GOD'S Plan is for Happiness, Peace of Mind, Joyful Activity, True Place & Unbroken Progress. Ask then of GOD to not not let your will interfere with GOD's Plan.
    Because I was sooo boogered up by the flouride toxcity ** & the 9ruptued/ herniated discs, I asked GOD to make GOD's Plan sooo clear to me that even I could not miss it. When people remark, telling me I have the worst luck, I am always shocked! I think I am uber blessed.

    I've been called a genius several times over the years just because I would be watching people working on something and if they are doing it wrong I'd stop them and show them the correct way to do it or if they were testing a car part and one of the test wires falls off during the test I would let them know what happened and they would say wow you pay attention to the details like a pro

The problem was i was so nervous i paused and couldn't think but details slowly hit me but i wasnt quite correct and i was believable but not the best answer. As i was walking out of the office it hit me the and i turned back and told them what i should have. I waited for a call and for some reason i wasn't getting there calls or they had the wrong number and a month later the guy who told me about the job said they wanted me really bad and were hoping i would call or come in to see if i had the job but i was to late and someone got the job.

    I thought to myself that this is the question you are going to ask me?
    My answer was... I have two babies. When I change their diapers I make sure I pay attention to fucking detail.

    He's 100 percent right. Similarly when I interview people and the tell me what their responsibilities are what the key projects were etc. I listen to thier response which is usually general not specific details. So I use follow up questions to dog deeper such as and specially tell me what your own specific contributions were to the project, etc. Very often it becomes clear they had only nominal involvement and we're not nor ever had been an actual leader on anything.

I discovered that during assembly that part looked perfect symmetrical, the dimensions were perfect from the datum side but not opposite side. As a hobbyist I totally agree, many of my friends is like "Just buy a tool for it...". My way of thinking is to know that there is a tool for it to buy, next is to mentally disassemble and assemble to figure out how and why it works. Then make inventory of what I own and try to make a tool of my own, not only replicate but simplify and budget the mechanism and review it in contrast to if the tool can be blended with other functions to serve multiple purposes. Often this process happens when I am working on a project and missing a tool, so I get sidetracked so much I forget what I was working on
