Ok then... tell me some of the most difficult problems you worked on and how you solved them? :)
Rubix cube :)
How I solved them: I broke it to pieces then re built it again >:)
One time I had to course correct a entire company for 52hrs straight ended up with some of the worst things during those 52hrs
Well is to really know how my self will Face a behavior that got me off, of the customs and activities!
Ignoring what the reality of the problems complexity is and keep going on the right attitude knowing my confort will not help and act in a humble and righteous way!..
Being alone at young age:)
How i solved them: I improved and got out of my addictions to phones and addictive contents, and Started to work hard and I am still improving but the problems has been solved :)
that makes sense
Suddenly makes me feel like I haven't done anything hard in my life 😂
That's because, you haven't
@@sawcondeeznuts6670 yes dad, my bad
I am thinking the same. I've been all over the world, had twice a business and was glad to get out of both without bankruptcy 🤣, quite a few people admire me for what I do and have done, but when I get to solving anything, I found everything easy. The only constraint is time, and ... why should I be my own slavedriver? I am happy and my lady as well and that's what counts.
Without know you it what is he fail never will be sucessful
@@diegosavinon1796 could you please translate to English?
Every interviewee should practice answering that question. It’s actually a common question.
Exactly , this is like interview 101
It may be a common question, but the entire point is that a truly intelligent interviewer can keep asking probing questions to ultimately determine the truth. It is essentially the difference between memorizing a part in a script and WRITING the entire script. Shallow people breeze by on (what they believe is) "charm"; whereas true thinkers produce results and know how to replicate the problem-solving process in any number of situations. That's what Elon means!
@@lisastone2324 I interview people regularly (I am a network architect). I expect engineers to be able to answer that question quickly and concisely with maybe one follow up question and we move on to the next topic. It is not an interrogation where I am looking to probe and probe like a security clearance polygraph test. But failure to have an example ready to discuss shows they are unprepared for the interview, especially if we clearly said we would ask that question beforehand.
We have several questions like this in our process. If we get a generic or vague answer, the interview is basicly a dud unless you can really impress us.
@@StreetFighter2010 does it really matter if someone is slow at answering?
When I worked at Kodak in the 80's repairing camera that came off the line, my manager told us all to keep notes on how we did it. Eventually he collected all the notes and wrote a book of repairs. He got a big bonus for this. I never saw him repair even one camera.
That is his false ego/pride...hope you kept a copy of your notes?
If not. Lesson learned
Thomas Edison kind of guy
Elon does this too, he is writing the book now but he bought the companies from other great minds.
Thats pretty smart, shity but smart 😂
Nice job
My dad taught me well if I am in a room with no door or window - I make one.
Was that his biggest problem?
If you're with an interviewer who is not an idiot, thats all the time you get
How'd you get in the room in the first place? 😐
My dad told me that trying is the first step to failure.
Any problem you may have never let your mind trap you. When others have nothing wise to say they insult, it is but what they really are. A room is but an analogy to a problem, you may be there and not really know it, at least that is what he reply reflects, he is lost within himself, alone. From my personal near death experiences unfortunately too many j tell you regret is one of the worst feelings ever. You try in life, you don't fail, you tried, when you fail is when your too scared to even try and give up. That remember me will be your biggest pain. Regret. I rather die trying than give up to anything, the building the door or window is metaphorical in meaning. In plain language it means that I never give up, and will make a comeback from where they never expected me to. Those things are done with your brain, not by force. Hence one of the biggest muscles is your brain. It was my way of saying no matter what it may be if your right, you never give up, you fight, whether if your in a hospital bed or having personal or work problems, or your own health is failing to the point of no return. It was a message of hope and human understanding, with no malice intended, please be nicer towards me, the docs don't give me much hope you see. I am in palliative care, but I will not give up. I am still fighting for the human rights of others, and standing up for those who deserve credit for their work for the entire planet.
Would you help Ukarians knowing who Putin is? The danger you are placing everyone near you is no joke, but his bravery goes unmerited. How many human lives have been saved thanks to Elon. Let's give credit were credit is due. Leave your envy, your materialism, out of the door, and think with clarity, Sir, with no disrespect meant to anyone.
During the pandemic, I had only 10 beers in my fridge on Friday night, but my country didn't allow us to go to the store until Monday, so I needed to drink only three beers per day. It was horrible.
That question was asked in the movie Working Girl
That may be where he got it. 😊
His interviewing skills are WILD
His firing skills are even better 😊
I had been asked this question once during IV 🤣🤣🤣 luckily I avoid them
Just ask the BBC reporter
What skills? 😂
So basically what every interviewer on Planet Earth asks you.
And the worst. If somebody solves quite difficult tasks every day, nothing stands out. Personally i did this, i helped many of my coworkers to solve issues, but i can't remember details what was wrong and how we solved it. It's a normal thing to me like tootbrushing. I was somewhat appreciated but not really so that's why I'm currently leaving for another job. I'm nothing special, i just have exprience in many fields which comes handy at interdisciplinary problems.
@@dtibor5903 You're absolutely on point my friend. Same with me.
@@dtibor5903 the it wouldnt be YOUR most difficult problem, or straight up you have never led the solving.
People who DO have an answer to that are the ones that get hired lmao.
@@Iamrich00 at the latest interview they did not ask. But I'm in progress to make a list of what came to my mind about solving technical problems. Management problems I usually pass to managers, that's not my job.
@@Iamrich00 btw i have experince as actor, i could completely make up a story with proper preparation, but that's against my personal philosophy
How i became I supervisor and got managers fired lol
Elon is going to need that interview question a lot here soon.
why? He hires really good people, so only the best show up to interviews.
@@ElonMusk-zg4mr Well, i do have to ask. What made you think a [erson that has Aspergers is going to know how to run a social media company. i mean, it is a bit out of your realm. Not to mention, you got your ego involved and look at the decisions your ego caused you to make. Do you really think your ego is steering you in the right direction?
He’s been needing that question since his PayPal days, all he knows how to do is take credit and pay for established companies and ideas and change the name.
When he stands before Jesus. He will have to answer to him
@@Alecfisher01 Sure bud, what color is your rocket?
Brilliant. I wish I could ask some of the managers I’ve worked with this question!
Wow, every single hiring manager asks this question
And why is noone asking these questions in professional interviews? You act as if what you said is the slightest bit important in this context
NO lol
How did you solve the problems with Hyperloop, the Pickup and the Semi low load capacity?
He salvaged what he could. He's now the proud owner of a tunnel-boring company. Heh.
this the best way, I totally agree
Very perceptive question to ask.😊
I hate that question I have never solved any problems
I bet you’ve solved many problems.
Hello dear......
How long have you been a fan?
Elon Musk is a smart guy, if i ever make a company i'll hire him!
he hire you man!the clever man like him never let u do that
LMAO!!
I wouldn't !
He would never work for your company
It is sometimes hard to hire good people for a job by just questioning them though.
Thats why you gotta be good at hiring but the Best at firing
Elon Musk Is Brilliant 👏👌🙌👍
True!
Wow, simple solution 🤔
Demonstrable? For WHY_ME

You and Elon have the same room temperature iq if you think he’s impressive
No shit lol 😂😂😂😂😂 fucking dope
I just love this man!
Ppl take the credit for what someone else did for so so long, they climb to the top, and the company suffers because they picked a manipulator, a salesman, a politician
Brilliant, Elon!
Hello dear......
How long have you been a fan?
I just love this beautiful man, inside and out.
Well, you don’t know enough about him. You’re just blinded by the hype screen he throws out. Read Walter Isaacson’s bio of Musk. He’s a very scary individual.
He's leading gullible people to hell. People are empty and looking for God, instead they see everyone looking at musk, or swift, or JZ, and all of the billionaires that only care about themselves but come across so charming. Like the serpent in the garden with Eve.
@@JulietSpoto-pn2lx nobody is looking for imaginary friends. People are seeking happiness. And your collection of fairytales is anything but that.

Find out truth
Anyone who does decent interviews asks this question.
Any open ended questions are great to ask as candidate should be able to speak naturally on their real experiences
I loved an answer Elon gave during an interview once. He was asked a question concerning his personal drive & ambition etc. Elon replied “I just want to know the truth.” 🤩
Nice! I'm using this for my sandwich shop!
Elon Musk so intriguing a total genius!!!
Agree
Not even close to genius IQ.
Ya if you think ww3 is genius
You can hold Joe Biden responsible for a potential WWIII. Biden emboldens our enemies he is weak, he supports terrorists, and opens the borders to endanger our National security.
Biden is responsible for a WWIII paying for terrorists, fueling a nuclear war, with open borders risking our national security. Well Biden is the idiot, and Elon Musk still a brilliant genius.
everything is the result of effort
True ! I went through that not only during my interview but during work as well not only once but several times. The pretenders at the work place melted down when asked how they solved. Greatest laugh inside me when that happened.
Good job ❤
Truth be told : Elon Reve Musk is the toughest neck on Planet Earth today
This is actually a very great interview question. I all ready know how I would answer it.
What's your hardest problem that you've solved?
@@CeRz human trafficing, which I am still working on every day in secret. Meaning I help discover kids and adults that need to be saved from there situation they never asked to be in, in the first place. On top of many other things.

Sometimes solving a problem is admitting you're not qualified and finding someone who is.
I guess you are going to apply for the position.. NOT!
This whole freedom of speech is really making you mad, right? Our apologies, but you are not going to be able to kill who disagrees with you just yet.
Elon needs to ask Geo Santos that question

Insanely beautiful man 👨😍
BRAVO!!! BEST ANSWER. For me whenever anyone asks me how I recovered from a fall down 15 stairs where I ruptured/ herniated 9 discs leaving my back in a double "s" curve...& do so w/o any surgeries. I not only walk again, I DANCE...and I do so & live w/o pain. It was an answered, MOST POWERFUL PRAYER.
ASK GOD to heal your life in every way according to GOD'S Plan. GOD'S Plan is for Happiness, Peace of Mind, Joyful Activity, True Place & Unbroken Progress. Ask then of GOD to not not let your will interfere with GOD's Plan.
Because I was sooo boogered up by the flouride toxcity ** & the 9ruptued/ herniated discs, I asked GOD to make GOD's Plan sooo clear to me that even I could not miss it. When people remark, telling me I have the worst luck, I am always shocked! I think I am uber blessed.
Happiness is a state of mind, for sure.
Man, I am in so much pain everyday, I wish I could dance again!

@Elonmusk-qx5tx😂😂you keep saying do you need my help in most comments I'm sure it's even pasted on your keyboard 😂aowa Wena you how about you "Do you need my help"😂
I've been called a genius several times over the years just because I would be watching people working on something and if they are doing it wrong I'd stop them and show them the correct way to do it or if they were testing a car part and one of the test wires falls off during the test I would let them know what happened and they would say wow you pay attention to the details like a pro
yea me watching my niece trying to tie her shoes when she was 5
I used to know everything about everything......But, I haven't been 16 for a very, very, long time now.
What's your profession? Engineer?
Ive had that happen to me. I was trying to get a job as an apartment maintenance and that involves heating and air conditioning. The problem was i was so nervous i paused and couldn't think but details slowly hit me but i wasnt quite correct and i was believable but not the best answer. As i was walking out of the office it hit me the and i turned back and told them what i should have. I waited for a call and for some reason i wasn't getting there calls or they had the wrong number and a month later the guy who told me about the job said they wanted me really bad and were hoping i would call or come in to see if i had the job but i was to late and someone got the job.
Try again!
He has a strange way that he speaks. Something is totally off.
I understand him fine. He’s a Great communicator. Everyone has their Gifts. 😊
It’s like in math class where you can’t just write the answer you have to show YOUR WORK how you solved the question
Imagine if he ever lied…
He founded PayPal (not) 😂

I'm going to be using this also, thanks Elon once again for great words of wisdom!
He is just so other-worldly... beyond brilliant. I love his mind. I admire him very much.
He's a "smart man!" WOW!!
Exactly. Many managers, directors, VP''s claim credit for problem solving, but only know superficially how a resolution was made, very typical, while the "real" tech or engineer actually solved the problems. 👍
True, but its not only managers, many associates claim the solved the problem when they are interviewing.
So elon how did you solve the problems of the hyperloop? Oh you didn't. Got it.

I had multiple interviews that lasted around six hours for one job. The last person was a person from MIT. He was the Boss!
His question to me was this...tell me a time that you paid attention to details.
I thought to myself that this is the question you are going to ask me?
My answer was... I have two babies. When I change their diapers I make sure I pay attention to fucking detail.
Boss man's response...when can you start and how much do you want.

@@SphinxKingStone what don't you get? My point was that my answer to the question had nothing to do with the job. It was the skill.

Love that question!
I'm great at interviewing candidates. Did it thousands of times.
Yep. Seems to be the best way to sort the genuine from the fakers. 🇦🇺
He's 100 percent right. Similarly when I interview people and the tell me what their responsibilities are what the key projects were etc. I listen to thier response which is usually general not specific details. So I use follow up questions to dog deeper such as and specially tell me what your own specific contributions were to the project, etc. Very often it becomes clear they had only nominal involvement and we're not nor ever had been an actual leader on anything.
Are you fvcking _SERIOUS_ ??? ...The "Leaders" (aka management) don't do any of the work... they just tell other people to "get it done".
CORRECT! ELON HAS "ALREADY" INFINITLY DESCRIBED THAT "WORDS " DONT DO ANYTHING BUT "TELL" A STORY (TRUE OR FALSE) "OF "ACTION"!
WORDS ARE NOT "ACTION"!

We were building a frame for medical equipment. There was one shelve that the hardware wasn't lining up with the outer skin. As a hobbyist I totally agree, many of my friends is like "Just buy a tool for it...". My way of thinking is to know that there is a tool for it to buy, next is to mentally disassemble and assemble to figure out how and why it works. Then make inventory of what I own and try to make a tool of my own, not only replicate but simplify and budget the mechanism and review it in contrast to if the tool can be blended with other functions to serve multiple purposes. Often this process happens when I am working on a project and missing a tool, so I get sidetracked so much I forget what I was working on
