lend sth to sb.borrow sth from sb. 这是中国英文老师教的方式，我们经常需要有针对性的记这些英文句式，有用，只是我们没有语境，只能这样。

persist 持续的状态，insisted 不退步，没商量的意思比较多。

懂事还可以用于：说他的女朋友很懂事（就是明事理，言行举止有分寸，特别是对男方的长辈）；也有上级领导称赞下级 懂事的（懂得见风使舵，或说话做事很符合官场潜规则）通常用这个词

所以形容小孩子的懂事英语里用哪个词比较合适？well behaved? 不过这个貌似翻译成听话更合适。还有develope a bad habit中文不说发展出坏习惯，用染上坏习惯，养成好习惯。懂事在中文里有时候长辈说晚辈也可以用懂事，比如父母说自己已经成年的孩子也会用懂事

最后一个persist和insist真的很感谢！！我在Sydney工作，我有一次工作中用了insist然后我老板就说我口气太强硬了，要柔和点，我就想，不久就坚持吗，有什么很强硬的咩？现在才明白区别。。。😢😢
Jess Gee insist一般是指比较具体的行动、做法，旁人已经或预计可能提出疑问、反对或者暗示反对的时候，还一定要这样做。也就是说这行为往往与他人有关。persist指的对象一般比较个人化，也没那么具体化。比如我要坚持勤奋学习，就非常适合persist。“你们一定要照我说的做”，这是典型insist的场景

当年我一个中国同事问我“大方的”的英语单词，我告诉他是generous，他马上转身对老外同事说道：“We Chinese people are generous, we don't want AA system, only you foreigner do this thing.”(我们中国人很大方，不喜欢AA制，你们老外才干这种事.) 我在旁边笑得前仰后合，哈哈~~😂 不过现在我回想起来，其实我告诉他用generous也不是非常精确，应该用hospitable，老师您说对吗？

英语中当请教一个人如何做的时候 是用How to do something 还是 How do you do something?
梁一凡 前者是征询正确的/合乎规范的做法。比如有Linux How To资料库，就是指各种Linux操作的正规做法。后者偏向于向被询问者咨询他个人会怎么做，比如对方是个技术高手，很多事情他可能会用非常高效简洁但不能算完全正规的做法处理，你想知道他的这些“技术诀窍”
所有的我都同意！除了那个wait you outside！！！ 除非我住的ohio这里的白人小镇不属于美国，否则我不止100次听到这wait you outside！！这是美国的用法，最起码是美国小镇的用法！！最最起码是findlay这个小镇的白人的用法，这样说更确切！！！所以我认为wait you outside没有问题

"懂事" can also be used to describe girlfriends, I think :)
Sara Que Emmmm, we rarely use 懂事 to describe girlfriend. This word is always used to describe children for their good behavior or thinking. For example, they show their care to older generation, or they consider others’ feeling when they speak sth or do sth.
Lonce Hui 不是啊 好多都这么形容。Many times I’ve heard people saying they want their girlfriends to be “懂事的”. Or same as “ 善解人意”。
懂事 is usually used to describe someone really knows something they may not know at a particular age (or psychological age). If you heard someone said their girlfriends are 懂事, it may be because they think (or subconsciously think) girls need to listen and agree with their boyfriends' opinions, otherwise they are not 懂事.
我记得孙燕姿有首歌叫《懂事》
Sara Que 她这个懂事在这就是迎合男朋友的意思，女生一般都是把自己当小公主小宝宝，或者一个地位稍微低男生一点什么都要听他的位置上，所以懂事这些时候可以用在自己身上。

lend 和 borrow我真的觉得好难分清楚....还是不懂...
lend是借出去，borrow 是借进来
注意主詞，
lend是”你”可以借我嗎，動作人是對方
Borrow是”我”可以跟你拿嗎，動作人是我自己
I borrow from you，you lend to me，表达的意思一样的。不要说 you borrow me.
Yuying Lai 有次和我同学说borrow 他表示听不懂，然后我换了一个can you give ......
lend是自己借给别人，borrow是借别人的东西
这些中学课本上都有的，有些甚至是老师强调过的，敲黑板划重点

懂事是可以用来形容大人的 我爸特懂事儿 或者我们家老爷子特懂事儿 北京话经常这么说 意思是形容长辈不给孩子添乱 不打扰孩子的生活 一般和父母的关系融洽才会这么讲

语言最基本的目的，是为交流沟通，对方能不能听懂理解，是最重要的，其次，才是表达的恰当性。从基本目的来看，这些都不算是错误
