I recently lost 75lbs, but my arms are flappy from loose skin. So "waiting to loose weight" doesnt solve everything. The insecurity is still there.
I hate showing my arms. Luckily in Toronto (Canada)... we only 68° - 90°F degree weather for 3 months of the year.
During summer months I always wear light windbreakers, white linen shirts or some floral flowy cover ups (i have so many)

Sooooo I am supposed to walk around with my stomach hanging out the bottom of my shirt, blouses tight over my breast all in the name of punishing myself? This has been helpful to boosting my confidence. I wear mostly baggy clothes and I wear them until they wear out. I hate shopping because it always makes me feel terrible about myself. Often times when I'm around other people, I'm thinking "I'm so sorry you have to see me" when I'm having conversations. This has helped me gain a bit of confidence to go out and look for the things I want to wear. I'm in art school, I don't think they're gonna mind me having fun with my appearance.

A lot of people are a cup size larger than they realize. This makes a huge difference, no back bulge, no pain under the armpits, no double boob, I also felt more conservative because I knew I was covered. I'm only a C, but it made such a positive difference. I can only imagine what it would do for larger cups.

I love this channel and the skill this woman has for creating it. I grew up amidst a Kate Moss body-type family. I was quite slim until I had two kids and then gained some weight, which I do not mind. But one of the most important things we need to learn as women is how our bodies are designed uniquely and what fabrics and tailoring are est for us. I was fortunate that my grandmother had been a tailor for Chanel for many years and had her own clients. She had me assist her with clients a few times and the process was so amazing. She would have women come in flats and high heels, walk about naturally, sit on different chairs and get an idea of how their bodies actually worked. The dresses they wanted weren't always what was best for them and she would teach them about their fabrics, structuring and stitching and so many thing I never thought of. My older sister told me I have a high waist, which makes me feel great in pencil skirts, which she could never wear. But just knowing your body type and how to work with it, and never against it, creates such stunning women in every size and shape. My daughter has my family's body type but my niece has more curves like me and she is so abundantly happy and confident that it triples her beauty. Plus she knows what clothing works best for her and that is one of life's most important things for girls to know and embrace.

I took all my favorite girlfriends to my favorite boutique and got them all fitted for bras. You’d be shocked your REAL size and it makes a huge difference in your look. It elongates the body, and slenderizes. Do yourself the favor.

And talk about hair! When I had Cancer, my long hair came out. At one point it was below my mid back, so of course a self body- image problem! Once I decided to take control, I had a cutting party, things turned around! Though I still haven't tried the tight braids, looks beautiful, but people complain about the pain! They use to say, No pain, No gain, but I'm all about comfort! I embrace my naturally curly hair. Don't have to take hours washing, drying, straightening, I feel So free! ..Wouldn't mind knowing some styles to put it in. The decision to let it grow back or continue to keep it short- Short seems to be winning, been 3 years! And wigs, tried that, makes my head hot, don't know how people stand it! Anyway, discuss fro styles please. ♥️👍

This is so helpful! I gained over 50 lbs during the quarantine and I found myself trying so hard to rock the clothes that fit before. Needless to say, I looked a mess everyday for the last four months. I literally made each of these mistakes and had to accept that I have to buy new clothes for new body size. I've been *searching* for content about dressing for my body shape - thank you so much, and this came right on time! I'm a mid-sized girl (US 12) with a full bust and narrow hips, and it has been so difficult to find folks online who have that same shape. It seems like most plus models are pear-shaped, and the straight-sized models are stick thin. Trying to picture how certain styles will look on me is a real challenge, but your examples were so spot-on!

    • @eiscremefrauneumann6285
      @eiscremefrauneumann6285 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

If you have narrow hips, A-line skirts and dresses are your best friends!
If you're more into pants, try combining them with peplum tops.
You could also try high waisted pants that are ment to be a little looser around the hips. Maybe like these paperbag summer trousers or so.
Basically anything that flares out at the bottom.. 👌
Oh and it might seem counter-intuitive but try something with ruffle sleeves. I mean the ones that are basically a half circle sewn on in a ruffle as some kind of large cap sleeve. I don't know the English name. It does add width to your shoulders, but it looks intentional and feminine. You can't really see the broad shoulders underneath it.
I feel like it works for me at least 🤷
Shein has a lot of peplum tops and ruffle sleeves. At least the plus size section is loaded with peplum things. If you're midsize, just look at the measurements on the website and order a 0XL and/or go for something with a belt.
      So top 2 outfits:
-Flared ruffle sleeve crop top with high waisted A-line skirt
      - peplum top (with ruffle sleeves and belt to cinge the waist while still being able to fit your boobs into the it) and skinny jeans
      Maybe this helps :)

I have seen more than one or two or three Plus size fashion beauty TH-camrs showing clothing within hauls or whatever that are too small. The question isn't can I get it on my body, the question is do the garments skim the body and don't emphasize every lump bump and dimple? I am surprised when I see this, because some of these folks are supposedly making bank on legit fashion deals or at least have large YT audiences and they look like they have no idea how to find clothes that actually fit. Thank you for telling the truth and helping us fluffy girls look good no matter what are aesthetic/style beyond fashion might be!

When I tried before, it made me itch so, I was clawing at my face! Had an allergic reaction. I remember being younger and not wanting to go to school due to lack of having clothes. My mom had gained a lot of weight after having my brother some 6yrs prior. She was used to having an amazing body/shape. She would go out and buy tons of clothes that were in my size (3/4) at the time while she was at least 12 sizes bigger (16/18) talking about those clothes were for when she lost the weight. All the while my straight A’s I was getting in school were turning to D’s and F’s because I was to embarrassed to go to school wearing the same outfits every other day. I started going into the tons of containers she had the clothes stored in and started wearing them. She found out and flipped out. I’m crying and explaining to her how i have nothing to wear. She could care less, she continued buying the “weight loss” clothes for herself while i still suffered. This happened for a while until I told my family and they got on her and she had no choice but to start making sure that I had the stuff I needed. It still wasn’t enough but it had gotten better.

I love your style and tips FOR ALL SIZES! I sent this video to 10 of my friends of all sizes because we all have the same complaints of ourselves and the same style faults of not stepping out of our comfort zone. A+ XOXO

I am a hijabi and plus size and it's been hard for me to keep things modest and in my comfort zone while being more fashionable and complementing my body better. Thank you so much for these tips!!! Maybe it's time for me to experiment a little lol

I just discovered your videos and I’m SO happy I did! Thank you! I’m learning so much about how to dress my body type. I’m a little older (48) and I’ve put on weight which makes me feel a little depressed but your videos really help to educate me on what I should and shouldn’t wear for my body type. I especially love your edgy style. And I gotta say that Police shirt is awesome! ♥️
