Wow! I have almost the same box on my bed as I watch ya video!!! Same numbers, by great value. Only difference is my box says daylight! I was on here wondering if this would help my baby tomato plants. Thank you so much!!!
I love using lightbulbs as grow lights! I have 2600 lumen bulbs for my plants. Even my fiddle leaf fig has pushed out growth during winter. My plants cannot tell that it’s winter here in Utah.
That's so great! I love hearing that others are having the same success this winter with regular light bulbs as grow lights! It's so simple, much more affordable, and you can make literally any light fixture into a happy little place for your plants!
My gosh you are absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for this video, grow lights are hard to come by in Australia, there are a few options but mostly they’re quite expensive
I have used about 9 to 12 regular led light bulbs ranging from 3500K to 6000K and having 1600 lumens for about 5 years. I made like a circuitary connection to all of the led bulbs unto a carboard frame so that they would all light up within a specified area, along panda film, and timer. Also, a mister was used to prevent leaf burns due to the high amount of uv light being transfered unto the leafs. While they are a cheaper alternative to growlights and help the plants grow, the only issue is that they can't promote flowering and fruiting of the fruit trees.
Oh my goodness! That's why I've never really gotten into grow lights much - just suffered through until I found these. I don't like big, bulky, ugly things since my plants are all in prominent places and they can be so darn expensive! I think you'll really love how cost-effective and versatile these are - and they really go work great! I've got a dozen new leaves on my jasmine plant already since posting this video last week - success!
Awesome, thank you, Andrew! I'm so glad to be able to help and to have connected with you - this is the whole reason I am here! A have a great weekend!
Girl, EXACTLY! I don't mind a temporary set-up in the early spring for my veggie seedling and such, but if it's a long-term deal in a public space in my home then I definitely want it looking nice. So glad this was helpful!
Oh my gosh 😆😆😆 Not to limit myself, but I think I'll stick to TH-cam for awhile longer 😆 If I ever 'go big' I'll be sure to give you all the credit! So happy to have you on my team, Caroline!
Really love your plants. This can really help me with our indoor plants. We don't have much sunlight so we badly need Grow lights. Most of our plants are Outdoor here in the Philippines
I'm glad this will help! I wish more of my plants could live outside year round - a lot enjoy being outside for the summer, but it's waaaaaay too cold during winter!
Hi, maybe I missed it in the video, but did you give the name of the first light fixture that you hung off to the side? Thank you for this video. Will save money for sure.
Thanks to your video I found out I don’t have to buy any but this bulb is blinding me. I feel like I can relate to the weekend. What should I look for so I don’t get blinded by the lights ????
Thank you - so glad you like the plants and find some helpful tips in my videos! It's what I'm here for! I will need to check out your channel - if you have plant content I'll be ALL IN! I love all of the plant varieties in Indonesia!
Hey Hector! Honestly, that is a really great question! These bulbs are LEDs and as I only have 4 of them on rotation this winter, we haven't even noticed a difference at all in our electric bill. Thank goodness too! I'd hate to have to spend my money on artificial light when I could use it to buy more plants! Lol
This is super helpful. I have windows but not enough LOL I purchased a grow light from Amazon and I think it's $50 😥 My outside plants were happier outside LOL cannot wait til it warms up again 😊
I FEEL you on this! The original part of our house was built in the 60's and barely gets any light in any of the rooms - it's rough! But I just love how some simple light bulbs can fix things right up - and I think it's good for us humans, too! Although I will say, I think we all, plant and human alike, prefer the outdoors in summer! Way better than indoors all winter! Right?!
Usually about 16 hrs, sometimes they stay on overnight too though - just depends on if I remember to turn them off! LOL They aren't 'too strong' that I need to worry about turning them off or risk doing damage to the plants - it's perfect!
Thank you so much! I completely forgot to say where I got the strip light from LOL oops! I found it Wal-Mart - can you believe it?? A legitimate grow light! Even in this past week since posting this video my jasmine plant has a dozen new leaves on it - I imagine it'll be blooming again in another few weeks! Success!!!
Hi I had a question. I plan on starting a small garden using a shelf. I saw someone make a set with some plastic shelves and I wanna try it out. I know my store sells those LED sticky lights that are very bright. Would these work or should I combine it with a stronger light?
Give it a try! It really depends on the amount of lumens/K but you never know if your specific setup will work unless you try! If you see your seedlings starting to stretch towards the light, then you need more 💚 Good luck!!

Your smile is so pretty!! I am new to grow lights and you really helped me with new ideas. Thank you so much.
So fun to see someone else of the plants like I do

Thanks so much! I was really looking for a more cost effective light for my plants.
You're very welcome! These have worked out VERY well for me, so I hope you find success with them too!

Thank you so much! You are so sweet! I have a little shoutout to you in one of my next few videos, so keep an eye out for it!

Thanks so much for all the tips! Your plants all look so nice and healthy😀Have a great weekend!
You're very welcome, Sharon! This will come in handy for your 2021 goal!
I love this! Thanks for sharing! The growlights i use costs more than $100. I’ll try these!

Very informative video. It was good to learn more about grow lights. I look forward to your future videos, so I subscribed. Andrew
Awesome, thank you, Andrew! I'm so glad to be able to help and to have connected with you - this is the whole reason I am here! A have a great weekend!
Does it matter whether the bulbs are the Dimmable or Non Dimmable kind? Especially, if I just use the lamp at its optimal level.
Nope, I don't think it matters!
The video I needed. I want grow lights but I felt like it defeats the purpose of having beautiful plants if I have to put ugly lights everywhere.
Girl, EXACTLY! I don't mind a temporary set-up in the early spring for my veggie seedling and such, but if it's a long-term deal in a public space in my home then I definitely want it looking nice. So glad this was helpful!
Great video- what a likeable character u r 😆 I’d say you’d b great in your own tv show 😄 liked and subscribed!

She didn't say
Hey thanks for advice, I’ll get stronger lumens 💡 they’d thrive even more with small ventilator I guess
Hi this is my first time watching you thanks for all your advice I have purchased this led light bowl it say 1400lm /6400 you think this can work
Thanks to your video I found out I don’t have to buy any but this bulb is blinding me. I feel like I can relate to the weekend. What should I look for so I don’t get blinded by the lights ????
It will help them grow but not flower or fruit.
Thanks for the tips about the grow lights! I’m def gonna try those light bulbs!
You should! They work wonders!
Thanks for sharing your tips! I have yet to try any kind of grow light. This video makes me want to try!
Codie, girl! Do the light bulb! It's so easy, so affordable and literally no one will even know it's a grow light! Total win-win!
It would be helpful to everyone if you linked the products that you referenced. I can’t seem to find the bulbs you mentioned on Amazon. Thanks!
I've added links to the description. Thank you for the feedback! 💚
I realy love your plants
Thanka for all the tips ..
Greetings from indonesia😘

Sorry for this question but having your lights on does it make your electricity bill go through the roof. Or is it just like 10 to 20 % more
Hey Hector! Honestly, that is a really great question! These bulbs are LEDs and as I only have 4 of them on rotation this winter, we haven't even noticed a difference at all in our electric bill. Thank goodness too! I'd hate to have to spend my money on artificial light when I could use it to buy more plants! Lol
Can you use that 100 watt light bulb in any lamp without it over heating the unit? I'm worried about not starting a electrical fire 🔥
This is super helpful. I have windows but not enough LOL I purchased a grow light from Amazon and I think it's $50 😥 My outside plants were happier outside LOL cannot wait til it warms up again 😊

Cool ideas. How long do you leave the lights on each day?
Usually about 16 hrs, sometimes they stay on overnight too though - just depends on if I remember to turn them off! LOL They aren't 'too strong' that I need to worry about turning them off or risk doing damage to the plants - it's perfect!
Growing Roots Have you noticed a difference in your electric bill?
Nope, not at all! They are LEDs so they don't use much energy at all and I only am running 4 of them currently.
Do you need lamps able to take100 watts or is that not necessary because it's LED?
Not necessary if you snag led!
Loved your videos and thank you for the tips. Where did you get your strip light? Thank you 😊
Thank you so much! I completely forgot to say where I got the strip light from LOL oops! I found it Wal-Mart - can you believe it?? A legitimate grow light! I have been having a lot of luck with just regular light and led this year
That's so great! It can be fun to get all fancy with our plant 'stuff' but so much of it really it's necessary. Keep it simple, I say!
Hello friend..I'm here and watching your channel..thank u.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your time - I hope you enjoyed! 💚
