Was limbus your first experience with PM? I feel like my perception of how simple the combat system was was heavily influenced by ruina. I'm curious how it was for people who were introduced to it first in Limbus. Like what the most un-intuitive part of it was.
Hey marco. Glad you're watching more limbus company stuff, though I wonder if showing all of the over the top really important boss music is a good idea. There is also a reason sancho's theme is so loud, some context that you are missing. All of the clock noises, and the bits were it gets chaotic, and as if another song is trying to overpower the main part, have a purpose. That chaos is the result of the main groups theme, and the "flow" of the main character trying to reach out to the person they are fighting, who was a apart of your party, your group, your family. Sorry if this comment is a convoluted mess, not sure how to express this properly. And btw, not all the music is so loud. You've seen this previously.
To be fair on Limbus Company tracks all being like that is that all of the ones covered so far have been for pivotal moments of the story, not to mention it's a recurring element that the Sinners are shown to be the undersogs in the setting's pecking order. Like, going off the ones I recall: - Between Two Worlds (Canto III Final Boss) - Dongbaek's Theme (Canto IV Mid Boss) - Distorted Dongrang's Theme (Canto IV Penultimate Boss) - Compass (Canto V Final Boss) - Erlkönig (Music for Canto VI Finale) - Audite Pauper and Vovete Miserias (Railway 4 Final Boss) - The Barber's Theme (Canto VII First Boss) - Sancho's Theme (Canto VII Penultimate Boss) Most of them are battle themes. If you want a change of pace I liked Reminiscence (Full version), S.E.A. Theme, Port in Shadow, Good Day Detective, full version of La Mancha Carnival with the lyrics/CC on.
Hi again Marco, just wanted to expand upon what that other comment said in regards to limbus company. There is a reason some of the boss themes are so loud and overwhelming. Those themes are usually for characters that posses a thing called EGO, or are Distorted(wich is like a failed EGO). Now, i wont explain what those things are because they are very complicated and weird, just know that the music reflects the overwhelming urge of those characters need to "exist." To show that they matter, to show that they must be heard, lest you be destroyed. Now sancho, whos theme you listened to, isnt either of those things. Though she does have the potential to manifest EGO. The reason her theme is so chaotic is because its basically being crashed into by the bus (heh) that is Dante's (the main character) and the sinners (your group) theme/motiff/jumbled mess of sound. Each side is basically trying to drown out the other. The sinners theme is trying to... "Subsume" sanchos, to bring her back into its "sound" or "flow" if i want to use terminology from the game. Sancho's theme on the other hand is trying to tell the sinners that she is not who they thought she was, that she is evil, and a villain, and that the sinners are wrong. Its trying to tell them that sancho belives herself to be a delusional fool, and that everything she dreamed of is wrong.
Yea i agree that Limbus Company OST can get loud, especially if you hearing it while not in battle (it kinda get soften due to sfx of other stuffs). For a more enjoyable one, and because it is one of my favorite song, i would suggest Canto IV Boss 1 Theme. You can also look into the game's predecessor OST, Library Of Ruina, if you want more *experimental* songs as it kinda lay the foundation of how Limbus OST turns out with the orchestral (highly recommend The Reverberation Ensemble theme for this).
I believe he's already listened to Dongbaek and distorted Dongrang's themes in previous streams. Great examples of Limbus' range. God I'd love to see him react to Reverberation Ensemble.
I feel like Limbus might be right up your alley. It's basically famous literary works made into characters, in fact the whole story that the director of Project Moon, creator of Library of Ruina, Lobotmy Corporation, and Limbus Company, of course, is currently doing with Limbus is literally Dante's Inferno with his own spin on it, i highly recommend playing Limbus Company, not only because of story or music, but also just for the fact that Limbus is definitely in the eyes of many "a wrong" kind of gacha. It's one of those gachas that, if you were like, a long time Genshin, StarRail or ZZZ player, you'd be shocked at how simple and less suffocating it is. Also it's just way too generous, there's *almost* no FOMO, there's no grinding of additional materials only to rank up one skill or anything like that (at least for now?), all you really have is = "EXP Tickets" for leveling up Identities of Sinners(basically alts, in a literal sense, them from another world) as well as "Thread", used to "Uptie" them, to currently max rank of Uptie 4. (Which also requires Sinner's shards but it is sort of well explained by the game's tutorial, that you can access at any time even if you accidentally skipped a section) Basically, Limbus is Peak, Kim Jihoon i kneel.
Ah Marco, the Outer Wilds theme began, I saw the shift in your face, and immediately I was back there on my first play through... It was such an experience. Once I finished the game, and once the credits had finished, I sat in silence and listened to the menu theme for about an hour simply contemplating what I had been through. The tears came and went, special game indeed.
Girl's Frontline on Marco's channel we've done it Also, it's very interesting that it makes you think of a Bulgarian choir (it might be, I'm uneducated on the matter), because GFL's story does take place in eastern & central Europe.

1:25:47 DUDE… this scene is LITERALLY coming face-to-face with a Black Hole, though technically it’s the manifestation of Nihility itself, “IX”. You absolutely nailed that!
Pernelle has actually been working a lot with Nikke - "Goddess of Victory" that you reacted to, "Clarion Call", "Lovely Lonely Cat", "Neverland", and the whole Nier collab OST album (which is insane btw). And she also wrote lyrics for most of the songs in most recent release, "Old Tales" anniversary event OST album 🥺 Was it Cosmograph himself who invited her, or somebody from higher Shift Up management, it was an absolute win
since Cosmograph is the music director of Nikke, he probably reaches out to artits himself after getting the green light after he makes sugestions to higher ups
Isaacs main theme is so iconic, its peaceful, tragic, with the littlest hint of hope, and it just works, the simplicity in the flash era that birthed it is so calming, it just shows how even though the game is very morbid, very VERY cryptic, very traumatic in its essence, it makes us see it for what it is, a game that shows all of these things so calmly, a reminder of a bygone era, time has only made it better, making me almost nostalgic for an era i didn't even really live and experience in the moment but just looked at the dead bodies of composers, game makers and a culture all but erased from history. The Flash era birthed my favorite composers ever, and this reminds me of its downfall but it a very warm way.
(2.2 spoilers but also possible context for “Horizon of Existence”) for horizon of existence i think it focuses on the idea of how acheron suffered so badly and was so depressed she accidentally stumbled upon the trail of nihility, and found something in it, and aventurine is sort of like that in the way he was willing to risk his life to do his job in penacony. it connects when acheron took aventurine into the trail of nihility, the black hole, to make him see his existence and its meaning. i really like how the game can be so subtle suddenly, and i remember crying during the cutscene LOL
Since no one has recommended this as far as i know, I will.. ..Princess Connect Re:Dive music would be amazing. Some context for Marco or anyone else. Its a gacha game that had global server but it got EOS'd April 30th 2023 Due to Crunchyroll but the JP server is still up and doing fine. I've been with this game since it came out and I LOVE THE WORLD and the game as a whole so much, The variety of music is just incredible and I wish for others to hear it, some recommendations from me - Precious Journey - Decisive battle with God - Absolute Secret - Prayer - Season of Departure - 幸せの方程式 - 絆を守る力 - 手と手を繋いで I didn't dare to translate the last 3. I could list bunch more but these are some of my own favourites.
38:27 I feel like this is the result of a small sample size, though it's definitely true (and part of the experience) of the ones you've heard. It's also one song that's split up into multiple parts ingame. That section with the Spanish guitar will loop multiple times to the degree you start to turn it out a bit as you focus on the gameplay, and then after a short cutscene/break from the loud music, you're hit with the next loud, bombastic leitmotif at 36:03, the start of the next phase and represents a shift in a character's emotions. So there is a sort of hard hitting initial impact at the start of each phase into a lull as it loops calmer sections, then crescendos as the next phase starts. Would love to see your analysis of more of EIM's work, as well as Mili of course. From another boss theme in same canto, (Boss 2) there's definitive lulls in the orchestra/grandiosity, and there's tracks such as dongbaek's spicebush fight as well.
I NEED you to "between two worlds" from Limbus Company and patron librarian Gebura's theme from Library of Ruina, also the reason for the flamenco sounds in limbus's ost is because the entire canto is based on one of the sinners that's named Don Quixote, after the book character
Now I'm not 100% sure if Marco knows this as he only sang for the opening of Unmask, but there is a longer version of Unmask, which obviously is more content to listen to, but also adds quite a bit of characterization to lappland. Also sorry I'm kinda late, but I'm just some random dude on the internet so yeah, enjoy music not only from Arknights, but from many other outlets!
GTAIV is kind of forgotten nowadays, because in stark contrast to previous entries and also GTAV, it is much more serious and bleak. I personally think it has aged like fine wine and a lot of people thinks so too, because it's getting more and more appreciation.
I really happy to see Granblue Fantasy song here and I'm happy to see you enjoy it ! I know this game from the songs before playing this game for more than 8 years and the first song I know is Auguste Isles which is the song of the island with the sea. I recommend it.
Sorry i couldnt make the stream marco! but i hope to see lots more nikke music, theres troves to pick from but "rewrite" by cosmograph for the latest 2nd anniversary event has to be my favorite right now although it does draw from the context i think it be enjoyed just as well blind without playing the game, its beautiful
Please, PLEASE, someone introduce Marco to other Syberia music, especially to the one from the first two games, I refuse to acknowledge the existence of the 3rd one. Valadilene theme has been living in my head rent free for the last two decades.
listening to the B&S Theme is something I did NOT expect. That game is absolutely filled with gems, especially all of the ones that came with it's 1.0 release. Hope to possibly see more of it on the channel
i think alot of people want you to react to limbus company music/project moon music for a while but not get to it. So i glad that i see Canto VII boss battle 4 theme here . Hope more will come in future
The singer did an amazing job for Unmask it definitely feels like Lappy herself is singing this also Marco is probably agonizing over how he'll need to get that new Texas Carnival skin hue hue😏
I would like to recommend you to take a listen to Hearthstone soundtrack. It's really good. Great percussion. A lot of different styles. My favorite track is from the expansion "Rise of Shadows" with the song "Big League Evil". it's a awesome jazz theme.
I highly recommend checking out the blue archive sound track, specifically Gregorius symphony. Incredible blend old and new And also Operation dotabata Unwelcome school OST 198 Shady girls Hinas song(can’t remember the name)
Also some of rearrangment and song reference evolution is really good or interesting My fav is Interface rearranged into interface (hard). And the Game Development Department themes evolution (Pixel Time -> Defective Pixel -> Operation Dotabata)
oh yeah Girls' Frontline, and Mythoclast really? On the same album as Mythoclast please react to "Autonome". Also "Beyond the Border/Outside the Border" from Girls Frontline Isomer Event ost. Hope to see more Girls' Frontline ost reacts.
@MarcoMeatball I really think you should take a look at DAO and DAL:II osts and compare them with Veilguard. Inon Zur may have misses here and there but those two osts have an incredible identity much of which was lost already in Inquisition but completely so in DAV. Inquisition had it's own identity though which at least for me made up for the change.
@@olodesu I haven't experienced enough MGS to give an extensive answer, but overall, both are political military thrillers with over-the-top sci-fi elements. There are also clear inspiration/references to Metal Gear, not only in GFL, but other works in the same universe.
Hope some gigachad can add timestamps so we can search things easier. My eyes did catch Under Dimension though. Speaking of Marco, where is that To The Limit video, I've been waiting for it to drop 👀
Not gonna lie, I read the 2nd song as Enemas theme instead of Enmas theme lol. And would Pokemon Go be considered Gacha? You're able to pay to receive items in the game with in game currency called Pokecoins, but you don't have to. You can also purchase them in the in game store using real money.
I get that you couldn't get into limbus bc the tutorial is trash and the early game is a bit rough but library of ruina isn't a gacha so maybe you'll have more fun with that
Silent Hill is gonna be like, the reoccurring nightmarre reference of a game for ya, huh? So glad you starrted doing these, theres something very amusing/intruiging in watching the recording process
I know the last time you played a Dante Inferno inspired game you got a bit of stress, but I swear on my GPU that you will NOT be dissapointed by Limbus Company! It's a turn-based strategy game with an incredible story!

Hey marco. Glad you're watching more limbus company stuff, though I wonder if showing all of the over the top really important boss music is a good idea.
There is also a reason sancho's theme is so loud, some context that you are missing. Theres a lot I haven't mentioned in this because of spoilers, but I hope it gets the point across.
There's also the fact that the music sounds like some parade/carnival going on is because we're literally going through it and a bloody one at that.

Please, PLEASE, someone introduce Marco to other Syberia music, especially to the one from the first two games, I refuse to acknowledge the existence of the 3rd one.
Valadilene theme has been living in my head rent free for the last two decades.
I really hope that someday you will make a reaction to the music from Nikke, it's damn good
listening to the B&S Theme is something I did NOT expect. That game is absolutely filled with gems, especially all of the ones that came with it's 1.0 release. Hope to possibly see more of it on the channel
Lee spinning and going crazy the whole arena is the only thing Under Dimension can remind me of.
i think alot of people want you to react to limbus company music/project moon music for a while but not get to it. So i glad that i see Canto VII boss battle 4 theme here . Hope more will come in future
As a man in my 30s the Dragon Age:Origins soundtrack still hits the same, especially after just finishing the new game. Inon Zur is a gem :)
As a Limbus Company player and a Project Moon fan, I'm sorry for the avalanche of comments coming for you 😅
Path to Nowhere has opera singing with jazz in main/login theme(The Show Begins), very fun mix
Marco listening to the main theme of battle cats, a game i enjoy, was not on my list of things to see today, but im glad it happened lol
GTA 4 is something I've never expected here... MAH BOY NICO 😮
If a Nikke song is really classy or French, chances are Pernelle is behind it.
She won't be singing all of them though.
Marco you should check the last Nikke music from the old tale event. They are bangers
To explain loud music in Limbus its needed cause you will go insane after 10th try
I highly recommend checking out the blue archive sound track, specifically Gregorius symphony. Incredible blend old and new
And also
Operation dotabata
Unwelcome school
OST 198
Shady girls
Hinas song(can’t remember the name)
Re Aoharu, Agnus Dei, and so many more
Yes yes.. Idk why he got exposed to other gacha games before Blue Archive.
And also, Luminous Memory, Pixel Time, RE Aoharu, Shoothing Atheletes
Also some of rearrangment and song reference evolution is really good or interesting
My fav is Interface rearranged into interface (hard). And the Game Development Department themes evolution (Pixel Time -> Defective Pixel -> Operation Dotabata)
Hina's song is called Yumeji no Hana
@@GameFanaticBR thx
Im so happy seeing some blue archives ost ! you needs to listen to Blue Archive OST 59. RE Aoharu ! It's the best in my opinion !!
1:02:36 I only just now noticed at that point that it has It Doesn't Matter build into the track
Honestly surprised you never heard GTA IV theme, that's an absolute classic. And I never played a GTA game for more than 5 hours.
oh yeah Girls' Frontline, and Mythoclast really?
On the same album as Mythoclast please react to "Autonome".
Also "Beyond the Border/Outside the Border" from Girls Frontline Isomer Event ost.
Hope to see more Girls' Frontline ost reacts.
Based on listening to TBOI soundtrack. That game has incredible music
Marco finally listening to a Project Moon game music???
Do you have any plans to play limbus conpany?
Aww i missed it. Woulda loved to hear u react to "The day you vanished with the stars"
Omg Nikke ❤
any plans to react to the Ray dau theme from the monster hunter wilds beta?
Today at 10 am est
Highly recommend checking out Path To Nowhere music.
Has Marco listened to anything from Bramble: The Mountain King yet?
I want to yap about the context of Mythoclast so freaking bad
GFL fan try not to talk about the story challenge
Explain why is it often compared with MGS?
@@olodesu I haven't experienced enough MGS to give an extensive answer, but overall, both are political military thrillers with over-the-top sci-fi elements. There are also clear inspiration/references to Metal Gear, not only in GFL, but other works in the same universe.
If you're interested on gacha music, I'd like to recommend ost from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
Hope some gigachad can add timestamps so we can search things easier. My eyes did catch Under Dimension though.
Speaking of Marco, where is that To The Limit video, I've been waiting for it to drop 👀
In my drive! Sorry about the lack of timestamps!
LIMBUS COMPANYYYYYYY!!!!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
If you like the main theme from Granblue you should listen to Gran's theme from Granblue Fantasy Versus
didn't play the full version of unmask, unfortunate.
I get that you couldn't get into limbus bc the tutorial is trash and the early game is a bit rough but library of ruina isn't a gacha so maybe you'll have more fun with that
Hey Marco! Is the live chat still available for this stream? It's available for the previous stream but not this one for some reason.
It usually pops up after a few hours mieru
@@MarcoMeatball Oh, gotcha, thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to the Maplestory stream later! (Thanks Leeni hehe)
@@MarcoMeatball Live chat's still not up! Just a heads up hehe
blue archive
No FGO music... Sad
Time to turn this world into a lostbelt
Silent Hill is gonna be like, the reoccurring nightmarre reference of a game for ya, huh?
So glad you starrted doing these, theres something very amusing/intruiging in watching the recording process
:) and yes silent hill is incredible lol
Dragon Quest V Castel Theme 😢
i will see you in the gta iv playthrough
That would be absurd
go back to ruina for quite bits in songs...
I know the last time you played a Dante Inferno inspired game you got a bit of stress, but I swear on my GPU that you will NOT be dissapointed by Limbus Company! It's a turn-based strategy game with an incredible story!
