hey there, always nice to see another face in the limbus community! i only skipped a bit through the vod so i dont know if some of your questions got answered already, but here are some spoilerfree notes that might help (sorry for the wall of text): - the event is part of the story and inbetween main chapters, to partake in the event you'd have to clear the story up to the current point (pretty impossible), but you can still get the rewards of the event shop by just playing main story. the story stages of the event are playable forever, so you dont miss out. - the main gacha items, IDs and EGOs (the latter ones are like equipable ultis), can be aquired in two ways: gambling on the banner and exchanging in the dispenser for sinner shards. in the dispenser not all IDs and EGOs are available, at the end of each season the seasonal (Story related) IDs cycle out for one season. (atm we are in Season 4, Season 3 IDs and EGOs are not dispensable till Season 5). - after completing the story to a certain point you will unlock a reliable way to farm sinner shards of your choice, called Mirror Dungeon (Hard version in particular) and with that skip most of the gacha - atm combat is a joke and serves more as interjections betweeen the visual novel, but the difficulty wil ramp up at a certain point in the story pretty quick - the game does a great job at explaining the combat as BAD as possible, if you find you struggle later on there are good summary videos on youtube that explain the combat (and teambuilding/what to look out for in an ID) way better ("A better Tutorial for Limbus Company" 1 and 2 for example) TLDR: Have fun in the story, buy the gacha pulls and the event Ryoshu ID (the thing that costs 500) if you get enough in the event store, and worry about the other stuff once you get there, almost nothing except event cosmetics for your profile is running away.

I don't know if anyone in stream already said this, but the explanation for IDs is, basically they are Parallel (Mirror) World versions of the characters
There are two things you can get in banners ego and IDs. IDs are characters you can use while ego are the special attacks specific sinners can use. The neat thing is you cannot pull dupes of egos so you get higher chances of getting more IDs and more egos you don't have
This is a pretty big post about some of how an E.G.O works. An awkward thing that the game doesn't mention is that the Sinner's base E.G.O doesn't corrode. These are ones driven by their own life, thus they don't corrode even though they take sanity. This also means you can't overclock them. Ones you gain through other means, like the Gacha elements, are commonly from creatures known as "Abnormalities", which'll be explained later on. These can corrode into more monstrous forms. Corrosions have different effects and may be stronger than the base E.G.O, but they're uncontrollable when accessed normally, and you can't normally access these uncontrollable ones at will. However, overclocking is a way to access the corrosions at will in a controllable format. Yet, it costs more resources and SP to do this. I think if you don't have enough for the overclock cost, it doesn't ignore the indiscriminate effect, and acts like a normal corrosion. To access it, you just have to click and hold onto an E.G.O that can corrode to trigger it.
@@spearghost225 Yeah you don't technically NEED to, but like... if you just play Limbus, you have 0 idea about central figures/events and how they impacted the plot so you're still missing out (Angela, Ayin, Roland, Argalia, distortions, white night dark days etc and like CARMEN being the single most important person in the verse)

Small addition. Some corrosions target specific allies/enemies (low or high health for example) and for some even base form targets randomly
