Samsung knight here too. What exactly is there to rejoice about? The 'Z' line is supposed to be their premium flagships. The only thing premium for the last 6 years is the price. Frog in a boiling pot situation where samsung is doing the same as apple and many are falling for it and singing samsung's praises
I flipped out of my seat with how much more you like this phone than I expected
So was I considering how much hatred and slagging off the zflip 5 he gave
I tried this out and the Z Fold 6 at the local Best Buy (I'm in the US) and for sure it's really hard to fault either device. The hardware on both is really solid and i put a lot of stalk/importance to how good the hardware feels in hand and i agree as well the hinge on both regardless of other OEMs hyping up there hinge design yada yada, none hold open angles like Samsung devices period.
Also it pained me how smooth OneUI felt even against my Pixel 8 Pro, it has almost an iOS level polish that i feel Google has yet to achieve with their software but im all in on Pixel and will wait for the 9 Pro Fold reviews but will like upgrade to the 9 Pro XL.

How does it measure up to the latest Xiaomi, Vivo & the Honor flip in terms of weight, display(nits), crease, comfort, cameras, UI, battery, performance and Android OS Upgrade support?

In my opinion Samsung needs to make the Z Flip 7 outer display big like the Motorola Razr, the Honor Magic V Flip, and the Xiaomi Mix Flip; and make the inner display wide like the Honor Magic V Flip, then it's game over for the other flippables.
My wife has the z flip 5, I've got to be honest it takes fantastic pictures, we recently went to the carribean on a cruise and used her phone primarily for photos, I'm still rocking an S21FE 😊, the photos are superb, to our untrained eyes anyway. I guess the 6 being better is a great thing, but just how good do cameras have to be on phones before we're all satisfied? It's a case by case basis I guess.
Samsung could definitely add a telephoto lens to the flip! All they have to do is get rid of the flash. And honestly I don't know why flip phones even have a flash when they have the cover screen that can be illuminated to do the same thing already.
I hope that Samsung make the outer screen display make it where you can choose if you want to keep the screen on to where you can always see the time on the screen. you can choose how long it can stay on. Give an option of how long it says on and always on.

I think you have been very honest about the Samsung phones . And as you say they are definitely over priced.
But like Apple they know they have a big fan base . And they probably take advantage of them 😊
A wee question AD , if I was selling my Xfold+ , how does it work with selling it on ? , and how will the new owner set the phone up .
Can I remove my own registration of the phone , then will the new owner be able to re-register through Vivo , is this the process ?

It's only 3.4 " not 4 " outer screen. Motorola razr 50 ultra has 4" outer screen.

Have you had a look at the razr 50 ultra? I'm thinking of going for it,what are your thoughts if you have reviewed one?
It might be a weird request but are you able to do a comparison between this and the s24 ultra. I already know the s24 ultra is going to win but I’m tempted to trade mine in for the z flip 6. Main reason being I’m trying to reduce my phone usage.
This was my main reason in trading on my s23 ultra. I'm excited.

@@pilot-vp1 I agree. But I have had the note, and now ultra line for 9 years. So now I'm ready for change, and to carry something smaller.
@@zakkiyahb.6have you experienced any cellular issues on ur phone. I originally had the s22 ultra then s23 now s24 but still facing issues where signal drops

I have the Flip 5. It's like brand new after a year of using it. I tried the OP 12 as well. I like it. But I prefer the smaller form factor of the Flip. Bettery life and camera are not so good on the Flip 5. I know it's improved on the 6. Do you recommend upgrading to the Flip 6? Or wait until Samsung releases the Flip 7?

i never said it wasn't. i can assure you it is thinner than z flip 6 folded

Does anyone owns a honor V3 / mix 4 or vivo fold 3 pro ? how is the camera AI ? Do they have features like samsung or pixel ? Object eraser , sky adjustment ect..

I noticed the phone isnt exactly 180 when open super weird..
not weird at all... all foldables are more like 178 or 179 degrees
