Just this morning (July 10th 2024) Samsung revealed the new Galaxy Z Flip 6! I have my hands on the new phone. This is an unboxing, hands on, first impressions and video of the setup process. Enjoy!

Best vid of the silver shadow. The others had warm lighting that made it look like beige.

Torn between the Flip 6 and the Galaxy S24 Plus. Probably will pull the trigger on the Flip 6 since it's still on pre-order.

@TechItBeforeYouWreckIt I currently have the Galaxy Fold 4. I find myself hardly ever using the large inside screen. I feel I would really like the form factor of the Flip being it folds small and is compact. Only issue I feel I'd have with the Flip 6 is it being a small battery. I've never had a phone with a battery as small.
@fearnet2011 yes, I'm a huge fan of the flip. If you already have the fold you know the +/- if a foldable screen. If preorder the flip if I were you. This is the best one yet and I've tested them all!

I just preorder the Zflip 6. I cannot wait to get this phone. IT LOOKS AMAZING. The store had a promotion and I got $1000 off the phone and I got a free upgrade to 512GB storage. I got in the Blue.

Galaxy 20 Ultra 5G. I also still have me Flip 4 which is my current driver which is great 2 years ago. Now step up will enjoy the new feature. 👍

Z flip 6 has four speakers grills at the top, not 3 compared to the Zflip 5 found out on a different video 😮

I believe the rubber seal around the screen helps with the dust resistance for the new IP54 water and dust rating.
Totally makes sense - nice touch. Don't remember it being this pronounced on the 5.

I Have S20,needed to upgrade ,Choice was between S24 and flip 6, always was a fan of compact small phones, S24 misses out of lot of things which flip 6 has ,ordered it today
The flip 5 has 4 feet at each corner and those fall off sometimes, the rubber band is def an upgrade
Yes, that does sound familiar. It's been 11 months since I tested the 5. I like the band for sure.

Would you recommend upgrading from a iPhone 11 to the Flip 6 512 gb ($765 w/trade in and education offer) or iPhone 13 128gb ($446 w/trade in)
That's tough, both are great phones. I think a lot of it depends on how much you live and breathe IOS. Also, have you had your hands on the flip? I do think it's important for people to know what they're getting into. It's a much different form factor and experience.
@@TechItBeforeYouWreckIt I mean I use IOS but I dont really use their features a lot lol. And that is true I do think the flip aspect might get annoying in time when im carrying some heavy groceries and need to call someone to open the door etc. my main concern is that the crease/screen might get damaged or come off within a few years. I know they said 7 years of updates but it doesn’t matter if the phones screen gets damaged within like 3 years.
@@TechItBeforeYouWreckIt I really want this new aesthetic and new experience of phones too. Im tired of apple reusing the same designs. I do like it simple but I also want to have something different. But at the same time I only use my phone for youtube videos, tiktok, pics, social media and thats about it.

i’ve been watching a lot of videos of the z flip 6 and i’ve noticed the crease is not very consistent 🤔 some look like this a lot better than previous gens, and others look the same as the 5. kinda weird

Great and detailed video! Do you know if the Z Flip 6 has an UWB chip? The Z Flip 5 didn't have it so you aren't able to use some of the SmartTag 2 features

@gonnermalegs agree, especially since Samsung sells their own smart tags that use uwb. I would think that in an effort to push that technology, they would just included on all their phones.

I’m torn between the Z Flip 6 and the Motorola Razr Ultra 2024
That new razr looks hot. Haven't tried it yet but I can say prev razr was def not on par with Galaxy flip phones. Just felt underpowered.
Motorola razr is a chinese product, the screen will fail after 8months. I talk from experience swtiched to flip from razr 2023
I ordered flip 6 , always been a Samsung fan and now Samsung gives 7 years of software updates and overall felt it better than Motorola

I wanted the Flip 6 because it seems satisfying to have a flip phone. It's not nearly as satisfying as the 2000s flip phones. You NEED to use two hands to open it and it doesn't feel nice.
It's not worth it for a warped wavy smaller screen and worse specs all around.

Setup is easy sign in to ur Samsung account and it sets everything uo how u had it in ur other phone. Easy 😂

The Samsung vs the Moto has superior build quality, better gorilla glass, better moisture/dust resistance, and enhanced Aluminium shell (yes Aluminium is a real term for the metal used in both products). Its a better product than the Moto imo for quality that matters most.
I have the Flip4 and its been great but I always upgrade every other release cycle. Just ordered the Flip6 today through Verizon. Got a $400 trade-in for my Flip4 (if you order directly through Samsung they have a $500 trade-in value for the 4). I ordered from Verizon just for convenience. They are also offering a free upgrade to 512gb vs the standard 256gb. I'm looking forward to it primarily 3 reasons. First is the new lens upgrade. Photos and videos from the Flip4 are disappointing, especially since Samsung is known for its superior lens technology. In addition, the new AI capabilities (which were not even mentioned in this video) are outstanding. I'm heading to Europe in a few weeks and look forward to using the new language AI capabilities. Another important feature that was not covered in this video: the vapor chamber for heat diffusion. It doesn't sound like a big deal but it is. The Flip4 gets VERY hot when connecting to bluetooth devices and Android Auto. The vapor chamber is designed to disperse the heat. All in all a very nice upgrade to an already great product with superior build quality.

That's a really tough question. Both are awesome phones. I think the real question is, do you want a folding phone?? Have you ever had a folding screen? I actually used the flip 4 for a year and then switched to the pixel 7 pro.

Had that with the prev flip - wasn't actually the screen just the screen protector. Samsung replaced and installed the new screen protector for free. Not sure if they'll still offer 1 free replacement with the new models.
