    I love where cases have come. I have an ATX case that is 22 years old now that has gone through about 5 builds of machines. To give you an idea how far cases have come... it is a two piece case, the steel case itself then a white one piece outer cover. I think if you told the designers about things like RGB, cable management, and building to show off your system they would've laughed at you.

      I feel you. A couple of months back I sold a BUDGET build using a HUGE 90s beige tower that had a 40mm fan for exhaust at the rear... talk about being vintage. Components were much newer than the case [2009-ish] and they looked puny inside the gargantuan space.

    Greg, I appreciate all the the work you do with these builds and the viewer repairs!
    I bought an Azza Cube 802 in spring 2020 to run as a desktop machine for business and content editing. The Regis is a follow up model to my Cube 802. If there’s one thing I know about this topic, it’s that yep, absolutely there are more sensible and efficient cases to run a desktop box out of. But….sensible and efficient?? BAH! Ain’t nobody got time for that! It might have been borderline hellish to assemble - and yes there are better options for airflow. But damned if it doesn’t look great at my little home office. The RGB is effectively a big nightlight that bends to my whims, and it is nearly a piece of valued home furniture. It’s not for everyone but danged if I don’t admire the look of it every single day.

    I noticed a small error not sure why they did that but the "clamp" that holds it is not a 90 degree. It looks like it can move from side to side and that would put alot of pressure on those 3 little screws. QC might be a tad low i dunno.

  • @crumbman
    @crumbman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Props to Azza for making something different but well... I agree with you that there can be improvements.
    Additional to the points you already mentioned (PSU location, cable management, radiator-RAM conflict,...) I think a layout with having air coming in from the bottom where the GPU would get the air from straight to the top where you already put the radiator would have been better. Having a radiator back in the "basement" right next to the PSU where the air can get in but can't really get out doesn't make much sense to me. Overall I think a case in this price category and size would get a lot more attention if it had a better layout for custom watercooling. A build with a mainboard from the ASUS ProArt series and some nice hard tubing could look really nice in there. And it's kinda hard to tell from just the video but the glass panels look really tinted so you can't really see inside.

It was a little difficult to find a desk but I found an "L" desk with built in shelves. the cube fits right into a slot that seems to have been made for it. however i dont use the stand. It breathes very well and holds a 240aio, which also gets plenty of air. I like this case too. A cube design should be no harder to build in than a tall case which is also thinner. My next build will be a more cube design although I will not mount it on a stand as shown but rather on four feet. A cube design looks much better situated on a desk rather than a tall case which would likely be located on the floor.

When I turn on rgb its very much a conversation piece and with rgb off you wouldn't know it a PC. I don't think they make them any longer and the reason I like it is, when I pull the cover down it basically an open air test bench. I have an old bulldozer game rig in it that I dual boot windows or linux in with 16 gb of ram and an rx580 gpu. i use it a lot for test/home lab set up and its one case i've never grown tired of.

    Hey Greg. I cant find any good reviews on Cyberpower's Syber Cube case. Its a lot like this case but different in several ways. I actually bought a computer in said case recently its using a Ryzen 9 5900X and a EVGA RTX 3070ti FTW3 graphics card on a X570 Aorus Elite WIFI motherboard. I got the computer and was thinking I made a mistake on my choice of case. The CPU does have an AIO 240mm cooler since the case doesn't fit a 340mm but it keeps the cpu fairly cool. So I am mostly worried about the graphics card. With no overclocking the temp sits at around 57c with all glass panels on under no load. Its not really over heating but I feel as though if I did some overclocking it may over heat. I was wondering if maybe I would be better off buying a new case and giving my wife this case to put my old computer I gave to her in. The reason I was thinking this is her PC is only a Ryzen 3600 with a MSI GTX 1660 Gaming edition. So the parts aren't going to be running super hot in the first place I don't think. Any advice you could give?

    This would look cool under my projector screen in my living room. Been looking at this case and some of the more odd ones from inwin.

    I love my Cooler Master HAF XB Evo. Am curious as to how a build in this will go.

    They make a case called sactum that is a cube has one mesh side that looks like it would breathe really well but they seem impossible to source

    I believe Linus also received an Azza 'Cast' case he just recently did a build with. As far as the Regis Cube, I find it very interesting and definitely different, but it looks like it might be a pain to find a place for it to sit. On the floor, why bother with this case in the first place. It appears overwhelming if you want to put it on your desk (unless you have a desk the length of the Titanic!). Probably on a side table or console to display it. Whould be interesting if it was a Mini-ITX case. BTW, I remember seeing a cemetery monument in Dallas that looked almost similar to this case. Lot larger though. At the cemetery behind Northpark Mall, at the entrance from NW Highway.

    An excellent video as always, Greg! Loved your honest build opinions and watching the struggles of you making this art piece come together. While we're on the topic of weird cases, Azza themselves has another PC Case that they call the Pyramid case which goes by the model #CSAZ-804. If you thought this build was crazy, maybe have a gander at that too.
    All in all, love your content and I hope you keep up the amazing work!

    You can just tilt it to one side since it doesn't have feet instead of scratching the glass. The extra space you brought a ruler for is there since its a CUBE! Shocker! The room below the PSU can be utilized in many ways like extra drives.

    For future crazy builds I recommend you try a build in a Jonsbo TR-03 😂 I have one, super SUPER weird to build in; that or maybe one of the GEEEK cases (of which, I also own one 😂😭) that you have to literally build the case 😁👍🏻 around the PC as you go 😂
