Going purely off just encounters, not including shinys or ivs, I would say it’s probably munchlax from the original gen 4 games. It can only be found on honey trees at a 1% chance, but the real kicker is that it can only be found on 4 different trees, which change with each new playthrough. Edit: would like to say thanks to everyone who have engaged in the conversation of this comment it’s been really nice seeing some people’s reactions and stories and sharing info of other rare encounters, I’m also incredibly happy that my most liked comment ever was about my favorite Pokémon, so here’s to more conversations to come and thank you all.
Also Feebas from gen III had a similar mechanic, only 4 spots in a river that has like 160 possible spots, also these spots change every playthrough and has only 50% possibility of encounter a Feebas
@@giovannialcudia1098 I wanna say there was something similar about feebas in gen 4 also, it was a certain body of water in mt. @@DogsterrKane I was just saying it’s not all that rare when you see the odds of other things. Apparently, the odds for a wild encounter to have pokerus are 3 in 65536, so if we take that figure and calculate it with the odds of catching a shiny level 100 Magikarp with perfect IV's the odds become 1 in 1.638375e+15, although I'm not sure I calculated that correctly. Since PID determines both shininess and IVs, I think you'd have to reset for a file with a specific ID and Secret ID just to be able to have the chance to get a perfect IV shiny in the wild. Then you'd have to encounter 2 Spinda that are essentially clones of one another. Also, not all Nature and IV combinations are even possible on a wild Pokemon in the older games, so you wouldn't even necessarily be able to get a good Nature on your 6 IV Pokemon. If you hatch Eggs instead, IVs can potentially be passed down from perfect parents. Though even with a Destiny Knot, I have a feeling each individual save file only has a couple possible perfect IV shiny Spindas, since only 16 out of the possible 65,536 PIDs can give a shiny, anyway. (And methods that increase the shiny chances just give extra rolls, rather than changing it so more PIDs are shiny for that save).

The black guy cook meme is hilarious 😂🤣
“1 in 170 billion -percent- chance”
Finding a specific Spinda pattern in gen 3 that'd be shiny with perfect IVs would be my pick
Technically speaking it'd be any one specific shiny varient of spinda since there are literal billions of possible patterns
I believe the odds of finding a Spinda with the same pattern is somewhere in the trillion range or more. Now add
full classic (pre-gen 6) shiny odds.
Still a good chunk of my childhood was spent looking for feebas and not finding that little fuck that spawns in only 2 random tiles on a big ass waterfall
As someone who still plays but only up to gen 4, I was genuinely confused when the teapot came out 😂
Perfect shiny, munchlax with pokerus.
{My perfect Magicarp in PokémonGo has entered the chat}
Shiny 3 segment rare marked dundunsparce. With or without perfect IVs is hella rare.
Without a charm in the older games the shiny odds were 1/8192, which doubled to 1/4096 base odds starting with gen 6.
That level 100 ahiny splash is gonny be insane😂😂
1 in 17 million shiny, perfect IV Pokemon sitting out there in the wild like “So I bet you’re wondering how I got here.”
Spinda: *hold me beer
POV Your shiny spinda : am I a joke to you
For context, one billion seconds is like 31 years.
The fishermen Pokémon trainer with 6 magikarps on the team suddenly makes sense
I once caught a level 80 magicarp in Soul Silver at one of the ponds before the Lake of Rage
Basing it on wild encounters yeah. But you can get mayne not perfect ivs but competitive via masuda method
Shiny full odds six IV spinda with a specific spot pattern is such a large number that I don’t even know
Technically it's the chance to catch any specific spinda form
Shiny, perfect, shadow Mewtwo. My uncle became the most unexpected, extremely dedicated trainer I've seen. He caught the shiny, perfect, shadow Mewtwo!
Bro really went all the way back around to Gyrados being the rarest lmao
Run into the rarest pokemon ever, then it runs away 😂
The king of karp, Magikarp lol
Bro didn't even want to do the calcs for a specific pattern on a perfect IV Shiny Spinda with PokéRus and holding a Chesto
Even getting a Feebas in Emerald was hard AF
I have an original Meloetta from back in the day, never touched, I did the in game event with a spare I got, I feel like that's pretty rare
Getting a shiny spinda with pokerus and perfect ivs that has the same pattern as one you specifically caught in the same game
This is the rarest pokemon in the world try to argue is
shiny horde of spinda, all with the same pattern
Im glad i got a GameShark back in the days
Once i found a shiny dusk form lycanroc in a max raid, thats my biggest flex
I played Pokemon for about 10 years, and encountered only like 3 shinies. On the old Gameboy games. It was special. A shiny pidgy, was only one i caught, i seen shiny twice, but wasnt able to catch them.
Bro we not gon talk about home gurl lifting with her pokemon? Bruh 💪🏾
I remember as a kid catching a Shiny Raikou and was so confused as to why he was a different color. If I recall correctly, that was my only shiny I ever caught.
Me who forgot to save before fighting Rayquaza... And accidentally killing it
