That was an entertaining reaction, you seemed to thoroughly enjoy this song. Everything about this song is 🔥: From the laughing thunder to the killer guitar riffs, Mayu’s vocals and fiery hair, the schoolyard chant, Hazuki’s wink; it’s all fantastic. I especially like Tamu wearing a floral blouse in a heavy metal video because she doesn’t give a crap about expectations. Nemophila is the best.

As you can see from the gang vocals, they don't take themselves too seriously-you even caught Hazuki's wink, which most people miss. They almost seem to be enjoying a private joke, that goes "Hi, we're a bunch of cute, fun girls and we are going to rip your face off. Mission accomplished.

You know what's also necessary for everyday life??? BAND-MAID! 🕊️🖤

RAITEI was the first Nemophila video that I saw and was hooked from there. Everything else has just blown me away. I think though the thing that makes me love this band is the way the members connect with each other and seem to love the music they play. They do amazing covers. Hats off to Mayu too doing covers in a language she doesn't even speak which is extremely hard to do. Covers wise their Iron Maiden covers, Maximum the hormone, X-Japan, Linkin Park or Motley crew covers are a good place to start.

If you look at some of there covers you will get the full range of Mayu's vocals .There all in to their Anime and have covered some classics From MTH's Death Note to K-on Lazy and they work closely with Kensuke Akiyama a well known composer in japan for Anime . Some thing completely different there Minions Banana song Christmas special will make you laugh its short so add it on to another reaction .You can see from Hazuki's wink in Dissension and the video the making of Dissension that they are having a lot of fun and muck around a lot .And of cores the Laughing thunder( Bass and Drum's) are always cracking each other up . They are working on new songs and there are 3 +one new one that they only play at the live shows not on YT probably end up on the new album when it comes out .

Dissension, as the name suggests, is a "screw the establishment" song and some of the lyrics are somewhat sarcastic. The lyrics are listed as written by "She Knows" as opposed to a real credit because it's a little edgy for Japan. It's absolutely rock 'n roll though and finding out what it was about only added to the appeal. Mayu's last scream is " I hate you! Hate you!" - You tell 'em girl.

    Thanks for the reaction, brother!
Most of “power metal” is not to my tastes. And honestly, I can leave out
any/all of the gratuitous screaming and skip straight to just plain “power
    Metal”.
So far, musically, I dig their sound. But I don’t enjoy the screaming/growling,
of any band. I’d rather listen to vocals that can be understood by listening and
don’t require a lyric readout and hearing protection.
I can listen to ANYTHING turned up to ELEVEN. Black Sabbath...turn it up to
ELEVEN!!! Led Zeppelin....turn it up to ELEVEN!! Avenged Sevenfold...ELEVEN!!
    Metallica....TWELVE
But, I use the term “brother” very more than just figuratively.
I’m listening to your original material, and loving it. You have a very rich vocal
quality the reaches back to a period of time that heard the likes of Cash, Johnny
Cash, or Glen Campbell (different range, but similar style) and a Roy Orbison!!
Real singer/musicians. And it reminds me of a place where those artists reached
me earlier in my “listening” period.
I listened to your Song - Highway 31 and was immediately struck!
We have a very similar DNA when it comes to our musical ‘roots’, if you will.
I have a theory (and it’s based on your willingness to engage) that our
literal roots aren’t too far apart.
We may be “brothers from another mother” but I’m willing to bet we’re from
a very distinct locality. And I think we may have that in common too.
Let me know if you’re interested in following this trail of breadcrumbs.
    Ciao for now. Joe

Hey, you know, of she wasn't screaming I'd have no idea what she was saying anyway! Lol I like a good balance in metal.

@@RyanMear ..thanks again....as for the “screaming”, I do find it tolerable, or even
“tasteful” in some cases...Epica - Skeleton Key or Unleash The Archers- Awakening
are a couple of examples. But if that’s their “gimmick”, not interested.
      ...about the Midwest...
My home town is literally on both sides of US31. I’m not that much older than you
(Just turned 61) but you could honestly be a blood relative.
I was born in 1960, but only spent about seven years, total in my home state.
When I turned 17, I left so fast you’d have thought the “law” was after me.
