Miyako and Midori are twin lead guitarists and are one of the best, if not the best twin lead team playing today, male, female, Japanese, American, British or any other nationality. Miyako composes around 50% of Lovebites songs.

Miyako & Midori are BOTH lead guitars . The terrifying thing is that neither of them even started playing guitar until they were nearly 20 years old ! Miyako ( the dark haired one ) is a classically trained pianist , SELF TAUGHT guitarist and general musical genius who does a lot of the composing for the band . Midori also comes from a keys background and is the consummate show person . They're very versatile and don't rely on one particular genre of metal - if you check out either " Swan Song " with the Chopin intro or " Epoilogue " you'll get a better sense of this - but TBH all there songs are superb - they are without doubt one of ( if not THE ) best metal bands in the world today Enjoy !

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in 2018. 2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany 2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England 2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium 2019 - Download Festival in Spain In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. My favorite band of all time! I'd say they're the best metal band in the world right now, and I stand by that, but I realize there's a lot of genres within metal and they may not be everyone's favorite of course. They're so supremely talented. Fantastic first reaction. I subscribed, because I look forward to more. You'll find no shortage of amazement from Lovebites. All of their live performances are amazing (avoid Bloodstock due to bad sound). They have an amazing catalog. Their MVs are fun too, but for the most part, live is even better. How much PTO do you have saved up?? You're going to need a lot of time to digest / absorb what this band can do. I've listed to metal 35yrs+, growing up in the 80s. These ladies are the Queens of metal sitting atop the mountain of heavy metal. They are going to blow your mind, seriously, this is a primer song for new Lovebites reactors. A couple of data points I'll share: - Midori / Miyako both lead guitarists and the best duo in the business (IMHO) - Miyako is a virtuoso (you'll see as you go down this rabbit hole) - You mentioned Haruna's feet work, pay attention to her fills. Her cymbal work is most impressive, and at 4' 9" her pace / endurance are unmatched PERIOD. Her nicknames of Little Big Engine and Thunder Goddess are fitting. - Live, studio, or MV...it doesn't matter with them - all of it is fire. - Most technically sound band I've ever seen on YT - You should ease into their discography starting with older stuff leading up to their latest album, Judgement Day which features new bassist Fami. - Recommend Shadowmaker MV or Set The World On Fire live, both on their YT channel. yea....... when it comes to rock and metal coming out of Japan its these ladies for metal and Band Maid for hard rock, they are on the top of my list, i'm 70yo and been listening to rock since the late 60's and IMHO they can stand up next to any of the bands from the 60's, 70's, 80's and on down the line, rock and metal like we used to know is not dead it just moved to Japan

There are actually three videos out now with Fami - "Judgement Day," "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)` and the introduction video "Bravehearted," which introduced Fami to the world. Bravehearted was an interesting choice to introduce Fami, because it was the last song they ever played live with Miho, and the first song they played with Fami (and is also the only song written by Haruna). You should also check out Fami's TH-cam channel, which features several of her performances, to see what that absolute phenom can do with a bass!

A little fact. When Lovebites put out the call, Fami herself was on hiatus trying to figure out if she should keep playing the bass because she wasn't sure it would taker anywhere. She saw the notice for Lovebites and decided to give it a try. We all know where it went from there. This is according to a video that was on her youtube page.

Your reaction was not unexpected. At 61, this band has very litle competition on the globe for me. As I love classical music, their musicallity is right up my alley. The songs with Miyako's piano are something to behold and there is also an acoustic song with just Asami on vocals and Miyako on piano which is awesome. In my top three bands worldwide for sure!

They are my favorite band. The replaced Iron Maiden who was my favorite band since 1982 but in the last year Lovebites took the top spot from them. They have a variety of songs. Their latest album "Judgement Day" came out in February of this year. All members are very accomplished musicians. FYI - It is double lead guitars. There is no rhythm guitarist in this band - they switch roles because they are equally skilled and super talented. Midori and Miyako are among the greatest guitar duos of all time.
@@DaneBramageROCKS I think probably because the double bass looks very cool and looks very "metal," but it is hard to tune both basses (and keep them both in tune) so that their sound is consistent on each kick, so double kicks provide a better and more consistent sound. It also provides a backup bass drum in case something goes wrong, like the bass head cracks or something.

@@garykeeling2275I would venture to say that most drummers use a double kick pedal on one bass drum these days. Like you said, the second bass drum just looks cooler, kinda like 10 Marshall stacks lined up on stage and only one is actually on. It's just Rock n Roll.
Actually they have meanwhile really reached the status of beeing my absolute top band, even over Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica, Ad Infinitum, Ancient Bards. Oh and you can pick any songs you want, they don't have any bad songs, really .. they are all good. They are only different in style and a few are a bit more "epic" while other a bit more "trashy" or whatever, but thats it 😄😄🤘🏼🤘🏼

I have said it before and say it again.. This is one of the absolute best metal groups right now. Regardless metal genre. The skill of each of these Lady's are absolutely mind-blowing. I have heard every song they made abd have not heard a bad one yet. The new album is ranked as one of the best metal albums of 2023. A tip is to set captions on cause even if she sings in english her japanese accent may be hard to understand. Haruna the drummer the 4'9" little lady. Often called "Little big machine" is a pocket nuclear reactor on the drums. Fami the new basist ia just amazing. And then we have not even named Midori and Miako. Miako is also a former classical trained piano virtuoso. Midori is also competing in Fitness on high level and the leader is a former ballerina. Miyako & Midori are BOTH lead guitars . The terrifying thing is that neither of them even started playing guitar until they were nearly 20 years old ! Miyako ( the dark haired one ) is a classically trained pianist , SELF TAUGHT guitarist and general musical genius who does a lot of the composing for the band . Midori also comes from a keys background and is the consummate show person .
They're very versatile and don't rely on one particular genre of metal - if you check out either " Swan Song " with the Chopin intro or " Epoilogue " you'll get a better sense of this - but TBH all there songs are superb - they are without doubt one of ( if not THE ) best metal bands in the world today

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in 2018.
2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany

2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium

In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

LOVEBITES are one of the most musically talented rock bands on the planet. When you factor in Miyako's skills on the piano (not shown in this video of course), you could argue they might be THE most musically talented.

My favorite band of all time! I'd say they're the best metal band in the world right now, and I stand by that, but I realize there's a lot of genres within metal and they may not be everyone's favorite of course. They're so supremely talented. Fantastic first reaction. I subscribed, because I look forward to more. You'll find no shortage of amazement from Lovebites. All of their live performances are amazing (avoid Bloodstock due to bad sound). They have an amazing catalog. Their MVs are fun too, but for the most part, live is even better. They cover a wide range of metal, from power, to speed, thrash and progressive, a few power ballads and surprises in there. Very difficult to suggest a next reaction for you, as you could go in a few different directions, depending on what you want to see, but I'll suggest:

How much PTO do you have saved up?? You're going to need a lot of time to digest / absorb what this band can do. I've listed to metal 35yrs+, growing up in the 80s. These ladies are the Queens of metal sitting atop the mountain of heavy metal. They are going to blow your mind, seriously, this is a primer song for new Lovebites reactors. A couple of data points I'll share:
- Midori / Miyako both lead guitarists and the best duo in the business (IMHO)
- Miyako is a virtuoso (you'll see as you go down this rabbit hole)
- You mentioned Haruna's feet work, pay attention to her fills. Her cymbal work is most impressive, and at 4' 9" her pace / endurance are unmatched PERIOD. Her nicknames of Little Big Engine and Thunder Goddess are fitting.
- Live, studio, or MV...it doesn't matter with them - all of it is fire.
- Most technically sound band I've ever seen on YT
- You should ease into their discography starting with older stuff leading up to their latest album, Judgement Day which features new bassist Fami.
- Recommend Shadowmaker MV or Set The World On Fire live, both on their YT channel.

yea....... when it comes to rock and metal coming out of Japan its these ladies for metal and Band Maid for hard rock, they are on the top of my list, i'm 70yo and been listening to rock since the late 60's and IMHO they can stand up next to any of the bands from the 60's, 70's, 80's and on down the line, rock and metal like we used to know is not dead it just moved to Japan

There are actually three videos out now with Fami - "Judgement Day," "Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)` and the introduction video "Bravehearted," which introduced Fami to the world. Bravehearted was an interesting choice to introduce Fami, because it was the last song they ever played live with Miho, and the first song they played with Fami (and is also the only song written by Haruna). You should also check out Fami's TH-cam channel, which features several of her performances, to see what that absolute phenom can do with a bass!

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hummer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HUMMER.

I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.

A little fact. When Lovebites put out the call, Fami herself was on hiatus trying to figure out if she should keep playing the bass because she wasn't sure it would taker anywhere. She saw the notice for Lovebites and decided to give it a try. We all know where it went from there. This is according to a video that was on her youtube page.

LOVEBITES is the best thing that has appeared in the world of metal in the last 20 years. You can be sure of this if you continue your journey into the World of LOVEBITES. Almost 60 original songs and musical compositions from 2017(the release of the first EP and the band's first Studio Album) to 2023.
LOVE BITES is thrash, speed, power, progressive, neoclassical metal, classical music. Several songs of LOVEBITES are closer in form and sound to hard rock, some songs have elements of symphonic metal. But it's always at the highest level !
True story: I usually put subtitles on all my videos, but for some reason, this one keeps messing up. I have been trying for a few days. The only thing I can think of is to re-upload the video, but I won't because of all the views and comments. Your reaction was not unexpected. At 61, this band has very litle competition on the globe for me. As I love classical music, their musicallity is right up my alley. The songs with Miyako's piano are something to behold and there is also an acoustic song with just Asami on vocals and Miyako on piano which is awesome. In my top three bands worldwide for sure!

They are my favorite band. The replaced Iron Maiden who was my favorite band since 1982 but in the last year Lovebites took the top spot from them.
They have a variety of songs. Their latest album "Judgement Day" came out in February of this year. All members are very accomplished musicians.

FYI - It is double lead guitars. There is no rhythm guitarist in this band - they switch roles because they are equally skilled and super talented. Midori and Miyako are among the greatest guitar duos of all time.

@@DaneBramageROCKS I think probably because the double bass looks very cool and looks very "metal," but it is hard to tune both basses (and keep them both in tune) so that their sound is consistent on each kick, so double kicks provide a better and more consistent sound. It also provides a backup bass drum in case something goes wrong, like the bass head cracks or something.

@@garykeeling2275I would venture to say that most drummers use a double kick pedal on one bass drum these days. Like you said, the second bass drum just looks cooler, kinda like 10 Marshall stacks lined up on stage and only one is actually on. It's just Rock n Roll.

I have said it before and say it again.. This is one of the absolute best metal groups right now. Regardless metal genre. The skill of each of these Lady's are absolutely mind-blowing. I have heard every song they made abd have not heard a bad one yet. The new album is ranked as one of the best metal albums of 2023.
A tip is to set captions on cause even if she sings in english her japanese accent may be hard to understand.
Haruna the drummer the 4'9" little lady. Often called "Little big machine" is a pocket nuclear reactor on the drums.
Fami the new basist ia just amazing. And then we have not even named Midori and Miako. Miako is also a former classical trained piano virtuoso. Midori is also competing in Fitness on high level and the leader is a former ballerina.
Much has been said but get ready to deeply fall in love with this band. Cause they are out of this world good !

This is my favorite band. And Midori & yackel are my two favorite guitar players ever. I 63 years old a real Judas priest KK downing Glenn Tipton fan. But those two are the best guitar players in my opinion. I have all their CDs they're just a great band
