Ive been a hardware engineer 15 years and I never got to the Mboard level but I must say this is the best tutorial I have ever seen. Sorin you are brilliant, I love the way you break it down into a simple and logical way of where to start and what to check for. Also it is a real life situation no cutting editing etc a natural teacher for sure. Thanks mate form Ireland glad i came across your channel at this late stage! 😀
I've been an engineer for a while now but i have to say that your explanations and how you've managed to break this PSU or the Laptop engine up to serve you best in this environment. Your teaching skills are very impressive. Thank you.

I sincerely do not share all your techniques but I really respect them , they are straightforward and solve many problems. I watch your videos all the time and will continue to do so as they provide a lot of wisdom and experience.
I know it is 2 years later. Thank you Sorin for a good video for beginners. Earlier you stated that after the adapter connector, there is a fuse, which is connected through resistors(s) to the First MOSFET. In the generalized diagram you are drawing (@46.41) you are showing it as a resistor. Actually they are two power inductors in parallel, which are designated PL101 and PL102 on the MOBO and are used for LC filtering.

Sorin just to let you know the reason that so many people are always asking about motherboard repairs is because to a technican/small business owner, they are the most difficult to repair. Anyone can swap out screens, or change RAM modules but if you have a problem with a motherboard, we don't want to have to send it out to an expensive repair facility to get it repaired. We want to learn how to do it ourselves to save a ton of money. Motherboard repairs will always be the most challenging and most cost prohibitive of all the things a shop will do. I live in the United States and we have very few people/shops that can repair motherboards. So if i start a new business i want to know how to diagnosis and repair them.
You must first learn basic electronics so that you will understand each components of a motherboard because that is very important and it makes things easier to repair. I start my electronics repair shop with the knowledge of basic electronics.

Sh*t I better get some sleep. Lol thank you.
Another video, another masterpiece! Excellent teaching brilliantly showed in theory (on paper) and finding the actual fault in practice. I'd surely like to see a follow-up on this video so bad. Thanks for another awesome video, I enjoyed all 4897 seconds of it!
thank you, sir, I'm learning how to check the motherboard step by step because of you. I'ma keep watching your videos to improve or learn something new

Thanks a lot indeed.
Thank you for a amazing video! I have doubled my knowledge about motherboards. Pleasure to see a craftsman doing he`s field work.
I have visualized 21 minutes of video and it seems wonderful to me. Thank you Sorin
So, u can see that one ... I like this video
Sorin stay with the Raw Videos it’s the best and it’s in real time keep up the good work
lessons learned:
1) always check first for visible damage
2) if there are 3 or more issues with the motherboard, just replace the motherboard
😂😂😂

Another video, another masterpiece! Excellent teaching brilliantly showed in theory (on paper) and finding the actual fault in practice. I'd surely like to see a follow-up on this video so bad. Thanks for another awesome video, I enjoyed all 4897 seconds of it!
