I don't know why pirate blouses aren't eternally in fashion because they just look so good. Also your bangs are good, you don't need to style them everyday.

I was super lucky that I only ever got one or two pimples at a time as a teenager, just unlucky that it never really stopped after that. Also, I don't think we were warned enough about perimenopause/menopause AT ALL. It should be talked about more. And thank you, I am really happy with how the shirt turned out in the end 😊
@@ashbentley Yeah, middle school "Health Class"... either they didn't know what happens to a body after the age of puberty (which is possible?), or they didn't want to depress the teenagers with news that they'll be fighting off growing a beard once they reach middle age. Just a helpful tip. When you change the stitch length on your industrial machine you need to hold down the reverse lever at the same time. Don't know why but it makes the knob turn more smoothly.
Ash! Haven’t you heard of a needlepoint tracing wheel? I use that, pattern paper that’s crisp, on a foam ore board. You lay down the foam core board, spread the paper over top then lay out the garment with the seam lines visible. Then just trace the seam lines with the needle pointed tracing wheel. The needle points puncture the paper as you trace the sea lines. Then if you remove everything off the paper you should have a line of tiny puncture holes that you can trace with your pencil. Gathered seams are difficult but if you measure the gathered fabric just below the sleeve and you will have the with and you can estimate the width. Heavily gathered seams won’t suffer if you a few centimetres short.
Today's moment of "yeah, gotta hit that like button" was "My fingers look weird when I do it this way, look at that, ugh don't like that" oh the random moments of self hyperawareness! Also, great shirt, great job!
Fun cheese fact, lactose should be removed in the cheese making process. Big companies don’t spend the time to do it but if you have a local cheese shop they probably do remove it.
I feel like this video perfectly shows why some things are priced the way they are. The shirt had a LOT of fabric and very complex construction. You did a great job recreating it, it looks gorgeous!
Damn! That came out beautifully. Marking the darts the best possible way (with tailor's tacks) while wondering if you're doing it wrong is such a neurospicy mood. I really like that you took the tucks out of the sleeves, even on the original I felt like they added an unnecessary element that made the sleeves look busy. Also, amazing Mr. Darcy effort there :D
Hahaha I have clearly forgotten learning how to do them if they are the best way 😅 And thank you! I like the new sleevs too. And I was so cold filming that Mr Darcy scene 😂

Your dart marking method is perfectly fine. Completely correct even! I’m useless at not accidentally pulling Tailor’s tacks (that’s their name) out, so I cut a small triangle in the top of the dart so I can mark it with tailors chalk or a water/hear soluble marker.
Ohhhhh well that's good to know! I also accidentally pull them out! Or I sew through them and it get permanently stuck in the dart 😅 A water soluble marker sounds like a great option!
