@@eternallife8898 they meant before the equipment update, the king was just a way of funneling, now with the gauntlet, he's pretty much the most reliable one when it comes to choke points or areas with most amount of defenses, and at funneling, he became even better with the vampstache
Out of all the heroes I absolutely cannot attack without my warden. Any other hero I can get a decent attack in without them but the warden is mandatory for every single attack. Just my opinion

Honestly I've always thought that after TH13, all heroes were overpowered, with BK having more stats than a Pekka at lv75, with the queen having more than 1,5k dps during the ability, the grand warden doing... his usual stuff and Royal chanpion casually sniping defenses... then they introduced equipment
Honestly, hero's are a LITTLE op, but they bring a new aspect to the game which gives the player a more enjoyable and customizable experience. Clicking on the hero and seeing a ball demolish like 9 building is so satisfying. Before the equipment, attacks started to get boring af. Now we got something new and fun, and people start shting on it. Like come on man, the game isn't supposed to make you suffer and stress on weather you get a good attack or not, it should be an escape for a few minutes where you can just lay back and raid someone while also having fun. Shting your pants about weather a queen is about to attack the wrong defense is not what the games about.
Same with Root Rider, people think that the Root Rider is way too overpowered but the game was just too difficult which is why Supercell made the decision to make Root Rider powerful. Games that focuses on the competitive nature of the game rather than the fun of it rather fail.

Pro players now have to play for TIME instead for stars. There is no defense, so base builders are useless. Legend legue is full of bad players. This army is so op that is used in 78% of all the attacks at legend legue. Root riders are a problem. And so does heroes.
@maxpro751 Heros are high skill, root riders aren't. You cannot just drop the king and expect to get value like Klaus. Just because pros do it doesn't means you can.
Most frustrating is, that if you dont have heros, then attacking becomes boring, because you cant use main army and have to stick to electro dragon spam. Its no secret, that heros are big money driver for supercell and they did this on purpose, so we spend money on the game. Fact is, that when you upgrade heros, then it is for very long time, so you are glued to edrag spam for even a months. I think, that supercell should change this. Maybe make them less important or make upgrading less time consuming.
You also forgot to mention the pets which also make the heroes significantly better since they’re strong troops with good abilities that are automatically spawned on top of the hero, especially with stuff like the Phoenix, unicorn, fox and frostie they make a hero significantly stronger
the fact that a th9 archerqueen giant arrow can take out 2 airdefences right off the bat says it all. 8 lighteningspells later bow they have 0 airdefences remainiing.
Just let us use heros while upgrading. Just let them take longer to heal up after a battle. But supercell wants us to spent on books and gem to get them upgraded
I'm currently in this loop, I've been waiting on heros and walls for my th13-14 upgrade. I eventually caved tonight and am currently going to th14 with my king at lv52 my warden at 46, my queen at 72 and my champion at 13, and I have like a third of my walls upgraded, I was so sick of grinding to max out my storage, spend it all on my heros, and then waiting for a full week just so I could rinse and repeat
I was far more rushed than you were. king was 40, aq was 53, warden 21, and rc 11. After 6 months i got to where you are. king 51, aq 77, warden 50 and rc 18. How cool. Now I’m somewhat unrushed. Cannons and archer towers are messy.
Same here but I'm town hall 10 and have been at least since 2019. Within the past 5 years I have been on and off with long breaks playing clash of clans because waiting days to upgrade heroes and buildings, grinding hard for days only to end up having to spend it all in 5 minutes, And the prices of these upgrades as well as knowing these prices only go up makes me not want to touch the game at all. With that being said I am a few upgrades from being maxed out on everything town hall 10 and will upgrade to th 11 just to experience the grand warden and everything else but I just might try to rush and be done with coc.

My current strat is upgrading EA, lab, inferno, scatter, and xbows, I usually do collectors, storage and lesser defensive structures last And walls? Tempted to just leave them at their current level and forget about them.

I've spent like £10 on the game in the two-ish years I've been playing. Most recent one was the lunar new year, I really wanted that grand warden skin ASAP. Oh and a heads up, If you ever get to th 14 the upgrade is 15 million gold

If during upgrades, Heroes could be used but only to 20% of their original strength, that would incentivise people to buy the book of heroes without making heroes unusable.
Supercell confirmed that this will never happen. They claimed that almost 50% of all their income from the ingame shop was people who either buy gems for hero books or straight hero books from the shop
Its this or they will start doing a lot of adds everywhere which other games have. I rathet haave buy hero books as a option rather than lots of popupps of adds everywhere
Since they’ve already made spells and troops and siege machines train half speed when their building is upgrading and with how important heroes are these days I think it only makes sense to make heroes still usable during upgrades.

Hero’s at this point have become their own army and not having one is like building a house with no foundation.
I can confirm this and it is ridiculous in how i can three-star with only using my heros and three healers. it is a fifty fifty if i can pull it off but i am still doing at against my townhall, townhall 13:n
I think that supercell should balance army strength by having us choose only 3 hero's, that way they are still very strong and with hero equipment, people would choose different heros with different equipment according to their army. Also you can keep 1 hero down without losing much army strength at all if you find an army that can synergize with different hero's .
In my opinion, troops + spells should make up the majority of the army strength, but right now the way hero's have been handled they make up about half of the strength of any army. Hero's have gotten stronger over time with pets and equipment but I don't think they should get nerfed directly I just don't think we need 4 of them. But RR have also made TH16 too easy.

Simple. Builder base is more balanced than home village, so do a builder base and decrease the housing space of camps and buff the troops. Then decrease spell housing space and buff spell damage so for example lightning two shots air defenses
I just wanna know why upgrading the king from 34 to 35 is 3 days 12 hours, and theres still 55 more levels to go?!?!? Like levels 1-20 should work its way up to a day upgrade time at level 20 then 20-40 should work its way up to 2 days, 40-60 work its way up to 3 days, in sure ya get the point by now, like since the equipment being its own upgrades and the hero upgrades being non noticable until youve upgraded 5 levels but that takes 20 days to do, so just not worth it
I still 2-3 star more then 80% percent of the bases I go against as a TH14-1h15. Without my hero's...like at all. IF your attack requires your hero to actually work so what? To win you only need to 1 star. My hero's upgrade till their max and within that time my attacks remain basically unaffected. It does make it harder to 3 star some bases or higher TH's but getting 2 stars will always be consistent no matter what. Unless you're in the top leagues or in war.
Heros are good but they a bit too op and the equipments are so OP they could use a bit of a nerf. Bc i feel now a days any army with correct hero placements will take out a max base. I got a say tho this meta is way better than that air meta it was the worst
Not everyone is a pro. The majority can’t even two star without meta attacks. The players are destroying the game by wanting such a high difficulty people are going to not let clan mates do cwl because the majority aren’t good. Then it’ll be more difficult to win when you play against others who want to win. Won’t be fun when you constantly lose or take a pay cut in cwl or get kicked. Won’t be able to rank up in clan wars if clash of a clans becomes a sweat lobby. Choose wisely. If you’re a just regular player. That’s why I’m saying implement a vacuum trap that cost dark and regular elixir that sucks 50-60 housing space of troops at max level, into the abyss. For townhall 16. If you want difficulty and a reward for being th16.
It maybe not balanced But its fun now... atleast for me I will happily watch my base get violated with heroes in defence when i can and will do the same while attacking ;)
Hero are supposed to be powerful I remember back in the back. Dark was so hard to get most players hero was 20 lv behind townhall level. Most of the stuff you talking about people will never get playing for free

Soccer ball just wastes time on the gauntlet, makes the king have to walk further and without the rage vial he gets there slower. There’s no synergy.

That’s why I use my monthly hero book on my warden and go 1 level per month
As a th 16 I cannot 3 star if even 1 hero is missing. Every hero has a specific role.

The only problem about heroes is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to 3 star a base WITHOUT them.
Without one or two is possible, without three or more, it gets very difficult

That was an issue in the past, now they have many more ways to make money so they basically need to fix hero upgrades asap

you know what's strong? RR go attack a base with root riders and valks and no heroes, it'll still get nearly destroyed.

I think they need to add a 5th hero so you can choose to upgrade one but still have access to 4 in battle.
