But Alaska is still warming. 'Climate change' does not mean you do not get extreme weather fluctuations, in fact with more energy in the 'system' it will likely lead to greater volatility. One winter is weather; a hundred winters is climate.
Where I live on the coast we are used to autumn and winter storms, but in recent years we have had far more storms (high winds and precipitation) off the Atlantic than we did in the past 25-40 years; this is not just based on personal recollection.
