You don't really need to cover the glue sides if you use the puffy paint because you can "frost" over that. I'm planning on doing something similar but not to look like those houses but rather an ornament in a large scale. Also would suggest painting the inside of the house before applying the 4th wall and the inside of the roof before gluing it all together. Puffy paint goes flat if you put two layers before one is completely dry so keep that in mind. I always tap the bottle facing down on a flat surface to make sure the paint is down when the tip is facing down because if there is an air bubble it might "spit" out puffy paint all over. Always clean the tip as you go too to avoid clogging. The house looks beautiful by the way. The tips I give are for anyone wanting to try this out and have no puffy paint experience.
Well Done. I cheated and bought the ceramic house and candy shop at Micheal’s and painted and decorated with paint pen and puff paint. I made a little village with candy cane lights and glitter trees with coloured sprinkles and some gingerbread man accessories. It was a fun project. Look forward to seeing more of what you do. Wow, that's a lovely project! ❤ I'm totally going to make one, myself. Also loved the music choice! I always enjoy listening to "The Nutcracker", by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
Beautiful house, I have a few questions: how long did it take you to complete your project, what do you place the parts of the house on to dry aaaannndddd do you know if there is a food safe glaze? Thank you for sharing
Thank you!! Day one I made the all sides for the house. I let it dry for two days. On day 4 I decided to put it all together (although I could have done it on day 3 but I was being lazy). Still on day 4 I added the extra clay, waited a few hrs & painted and did half the puff paint on the house. Waited till the next day (day 5) to finish the puff paint. Then I wanted to make sure the puff paint was fully dry to seal so I did that on day 6 & was done. What takes the most time is waiting for things to dry, but it’s totally worth it. To answer your other questions, I let my clay dry on parchment paper and then after a full day of drying on one side, I flipped it over to the other side. And I have not found a food safe glaze.
Actually, the music used in this video is a famous piece from The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky, specifically the ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.’ While it’s not strictly Christmas music, it’s often associated with the holiday season because The Nutcracker is traditionally performed around Christmas time and has become a seasonal favorite. It’s a beautiful choice, even if the MIDI sound doesn’t quite do it justice!
Truly magical ❤❤❤

I had never seen someone use hot glue with air dry clay. I guess it works. You did great! Your house is more beautifulthan the one it was inspired by.
Thank you so much!! ☺️ 💕

@ thank you for answering my questions that was very kind and very helpful.
Was one jar of puffy paint enough for the whole project? (118ml/4oz)
@@vanislejenn yes! And I still had so much leftover 😊

How much clay did you use for making this size of a house?
This was only one package of das air dry clay 😊
Air clay does not last as long as clay that you bake. 😉
Love the project. Not the music.
Thank you!! I know Christmas music isn’t for everyone, sorry! 😅
