A straw make a perfect size hole! Love the pine look! Dollar Tree carries gold leaf and there is a lot in the jar! These came out lovely and what a great gift from the kiddos to moms and dads! The knot on the ornament is called a Larkshead knot! It is easy and so useful!
These are beautiful! I’m inspired to go out and forage for some more bits of nature to use this year. One thing I’ve done to avoid over rolling when adding the accents is to go around the rolled out clay after the first pass and lightly mark with the round to show the circles, then add the little greenery bit and roll again to get the impressions, then use the cutter over the light circles to fully cut them out. Also, a ceramic nail file does a great job on the edges once the ornaments are dry.
These are great tips! Thank you for sharing! I think that’s would have definitely been a better way of keeping an even consistency! I will have to try this next time🥰
Let me know in the comments how these ornaments turned out for you:)

Thank you!
How did you dry them? For how long
I did about 20 minutes in a 200 degree oven:)
I didn't know you could bake air dry clay... doesn't crack since the drying process is sped up?
This was my first time doing it, as long as it’s low and slow it dries evenly:)
