I'M 16, I HAVE A GRANDMOTHER WHO SUFFERS FROM ASTHMA LIKE EVERY SINGLE DAY, SHE'S BEDRIDDEN, A WEEK OR SO AGO, I WAS PRAYING TO GOD AND HER ASTHMA ATTACKED, THEN SOMETHING CAME ON MY MIND SAYING LIKE "I SHOULD ASK GOD FOR HER TO FEEL LESS SUFFER FROM WHAT SHE'S GOING THROUGH" OR NEAR THAT, A MINUTE AFTER THAT, SHE WAS FINE, AND I THANKED GOD, I THOUGHT THAT WAS ALL, BUT THERE'S SOMETHING MORE, SHE'S NOT ASTHMATIC ANYMORE!! IT'S BEEN 3-5 DAYS NOW THAT SHE HASN'T BEEN STRUGGLING WITH HER BREATHING!! SIMPLE BUT SUPER AMAZING WORK BY GOD I BELIEVE, I COULD NOT MAKE THIS UP! Great lesson. It is a very difficult subject for Christians to even consider, these days. But you're Spot On.
Acts 14 tells a story of a man listening to Paul, and Paul saw the man and could tell that he had faith to be healed. Paul commanded healing in the name of Jesus and the man was healed instantly.
But what was Paul saying that caused this man to have faith for healing? Acts 14:7 ...he preached the Gospel.
Way too many churches today are preaching against healing. Sad really. It's like they do not know what SALVATION actually means, and they water it down to ONLY being about eternal life, or saved from hell.

It seems that when we prayed for people to be healed it was as though they we did not actually believe they would be healed. I was listening to an old sermon by TL Osborn the other day. He said he & the other Voice of Healing ministers wouldn't lay hands on or even pray for a sick person until they had sat in at least 3 of their teaching sessions. I think we probably are TOO quick to lay hands on people today.

Can you pray for me? I am struggling in my relationship with God. I truly believe in Jesus, but am struggling to truly surrender and find my new identity in Him, due to wounds from rejection (and resulting pride and bitterness). I am feeling stuck. It's difficult for me to be vulnerable and seek community.
I pray I can hear God's direction to find my way back to Him and that I can overcome this fear of rejection

Brother John, I’ve heard that we are to use the Hebrew name Yeshua over Jesus because that’s his real name. The way I see it, is they are both powerful!
What matters is the Person. The name itself is common among Jewish people. Older biblical Hebrew pronounced the name more like Yehoshua. It was later shortened to Yeshua. The Greek pronunciation is Jesus (the way it is written throughout the entire New Testament). Spanish believers say "Hay-soo." It literally doesn't matter how you pronounce the name. It's the Person behind the name that matters.
Er, all good Ps John, but what about taking up the full armour of God, no mention of the NAME in Ephesians 10-19. It's according to our FAITH in the NAME how effective it is...praying in tongues builds up our faith...
