John Fenn, Can anyone see Jesus?

- I get asked frequently if they can see Jesus, what must they do to see Jesus, to have their eyes opened to the Spirit realm. This answers the questions, deals with the motives, and is perhaps perspective changing for your faith.
I'm a year older than John. I left the Baptist church as a teenager and started attending an Assembly of God church where people got healed and spoke in tongues. As I started reading my Bible (what a concept, huh?) I got the same revelation that normal Christianity is supernatural. It made for some difficulty with my relatives but I've seen God do some amazing, miraculous things over the years. Great word, John.
I have been in both denominations and I see just as much sickness in both Baptist and charismatic or other demonationas. I believe all demonations are in era. I don't believe the different demonations were ever God"s intention . I believe he wanted us all to believe the same. I just stick with the word of God and I test what others say by it. I ask the Father if what they are saying is true? And he will show me in his timing. God is never in era. May God bless us all with true worship. Worship him in spirit and truth.

I absolutely agreed ! If you are in a church that the Holy ghost is not welcome, with no miracles , healing, deliverance,word of knowledge, speak in tongues etc. you are in a religion church ! That also goes to your personal relationship with God .For me I notice that the more I seek him with all my heart, sincerely seeking him for whom he is , and how merciful, compassionate, good, kind, faithful he is ,and that I could trust him with all my heart. The more I focus on whom he is and how desperately I need him, and in prayer beguin to speak from the deepest of my heart , that was when my spiritual eyes were open. Focus on him ,not what he can do or give you . I 'm not saying don't pray for your needs and troubles. I have prayed for provision, healing etc.. and to his glory, I have received answers for my prayers. God wants to heal, provide ,delivered ,bless us . There's are covenant. But he want you to know him personally, have a relationship with him and seek him for whom he is . You don't have to pray for long hours ,unless you have the time and want too. But when you go before him , even if is for 30 minutes, be real ,sincere, speak from your heart and don't be afraid to tell him your weakness , no matter what it is ,humble yourself before him. Trust him and he will manifest himself to you.
Thank you. The Lord has been building my faith in many ways the last few years. I'm seeing and experiencing things I never had before. May HE continue to give us the right heart condition and lead all of us down the correct path. All to His glory.
I have always yearned for this,but you have said it all,the initiative is from heavens not from us.
Very Good teaching. I've had my own experiences with what I call the natural supernatural with heaven. Normal Christianity is a better phrase. I'm 61 and will be 62 in May also. Whenever I've had an experience, it was always a surprise. Treat Jesus as a friend and a King and just be yourself. Amen.
I’ve literally been wondering about seeing Jesus. I pester Him with the question almost daily perhaps my motive isn’t right, but He is active in my family’s life, so it all works out.
Hi C - Jesus said to pray to the Father, not to Him. (Lord's Prayer, John 16:23 'In that day you'll ask me nothing', every prayer in the NT is to the Father).
Jesus is the way to the Father, He is the way, but the Father is our destination - if you're not praying to the Father you're missing it....John

aidylweiss, what John says is correct, but you can certainly talk to the Lord Jesus throughout the day. He loves us talking to Him and telling Him we love Him. I hope this helps. God bless you.
@@CWOWI I am pondering this thank you John. I've been told in church prior that we want to get to know each one of the God head, Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Perhaps we in general pray to the Father, but can we also spend time with Jesus and acknowledge and talk the the Holy Spirit at times?

Thank you so much Johnn Fenn. I understand!!! I grew up Catholic. I had seen angels and demons since I was a child. I've had many God encounters. I gave my life to Jesus in my 20s. I strayed from God to chase the world. I'm a professional guitarist.
I was in a terrible car accident in 2013 which brought me back to Jesus. He let me wreck myself. I now live with traumatic brain injury. God took many things away but not my musicianship. I now serve the Lord with my guitar and other talents.
When I joined my new church, I noticed that I made most people uncomfortable when I talk about my supernatural experiences. I joined Celebrate Recovery in my church and we have share groups like Alcoholics Anonymous. Holy Spirit told me to speak up and tell of my experiences.
Two people recently have told me that I am a tremendous blessing to the church. One guy said that he wished more talked about supernatural.
We were Church of Christ but now we are nondenominational.

Awesome info as usual John. Sadly, I have met many Christians that are steeped in the "traditions of men that make the word of God to no effect" Mark 7:13. They don't want the book of Acts normal Christianity. We keep sharing though...continually, hoping to awaken people to who they really are in Jesus Christ, and who He really is!

Youre so right, it's about relationship, not seeking a sign. I too get so many people asking me how they can see Jesus like I do and I tell them they need to build a relationship with Him and seek Him with all their heart. I even made video teachings on it. But most dont want to put the effort into it. God bless

In 55 years I've never found a church like you've described, though I have searched for probably 30 years. You questioned why we would be in a church where it wasn't happening. My answer is to meet that requirement would leave me without a church at all. I can't find one. I've been thinking about what you've said all day because this is a topic near to my heart. I feel frustrated. You said yourself that it is heaven initiated. Where then does that leave us if it's not happening or maybe more accurately, if it's not made known or accessible to us wherever it is happening? Thank you for your thoughts!

i had the "What am I doing here?" aha moment many years ago John. If for no other reason, the church with the steeple on the corner is a good place to meet like-minded, like-Spirited people. Problem with walking away is that the networking opportunity has also gone away. If indeed as you say "the sanctification process is a supernatural one", then I would have to say that trusting God to lead you to the right "fellowship" setting is one's contribution to the "supernatural" process. In my case its been 21 years ... still trusting though.

Totally understand. I've been so alone the last four years. Noone has the same mindset or heart. I live in the Elmira/Corning NY area and wish the same but find myself losing family and friends and unable to make new ones. They're all more interested in the world.
@@florarix7091 I live in a very rural part of North Carolina and am very lonely for fellowship as well.
Try Harvest Renewal Church in Richmond. I used to go there when I went to college in Richmond and it was amazing. Miracles, visions, etc. Not sure if it's still the same now but you can always go check it out. It's a brick and mortar church though, but kind of on the small side.

So good. So would you say “the pure of heart will see God” is a scripture that’s in line with what you said about people’s motives in wanting the supernatural experiences of seeing the Lord etc?
Or is that verse in Matthew talking about seeing God in the afterlife?
I led someone to the Lord a few years ago. She's been crying out in prayer for years now, asking God to do miracles, heal her, and all the other sorts of things in the book of Acts. She has started to really despair that she has been rejected by God, because despite crying out for what's seen in the book of Acts, it's never happened. How do I answer her? I don't have any more answers.
Well, then that means unfortunately that in Germany, at least I have NEVER come across such a church. Having to hear from someone across the ocean, that this is normal, is a little bit sad.

Hmmm, one of the hardest things for me to do is leave the church that say we don't need to live like they did in the book of Acts. My pastor told me the reason for sings and wonders is for places like Africa and China, but the changed life is what will make a difference here in the US. I'm totally confused, but if I leave I'll get presicuted by my relatives. I guess that's just part of the cross.
Hi justme228 - I remained in my Episcopal church on Sunday mornings to honor my mother and the way she was raising my little brothers and sister. But on Thursday and Saturday nights, I attended what we called 'prayer meetings' that were like the book of Acts. That way I was fed and learned and grew, but also honored my family.
Ask the Father to bring someone into your life who believes more fully (because your pastor is ignorant and means well, but is explaining away the Bible, is not Spirit-filled). And also search for home based prayer meetings on a night where your Sunday morning church doesn't meet...as some suggestions. Blessings, John
Thanks for the advice. I still respect the pastor and pray his eyes are open, but I have concluded the only way he will understand is by example from someone who is spirit filled. Also the holy Spirit can convict him.

Can you help me understand this John? My church believes this but we do t see this. How do I remove idolatry in my heart if that’s what has ‘bewitched ‘me? My pastors believe this but we don’t see it.

Hi John! What about testing the spirits? What about false Jesus-experiences?
Hi Hope - thanks for asking. The context of the end of I John 3 and start of 4, where he says, 'test the spirits for there are many false prophets...' is about exactly that - false believers.
In all the times in Acts angels or the Lord appeared to people, or Paul's mention of going to heaven in II Corinthians 12, there is never any question as to the genuineness of who they were seeing. The reason is simple, the Spirit of Truth in us bears witness and we are in Him and He in us - so in terms of a vision, you know who and what and from whom you are seeing.
It's like the way they say they train US Treasury officials to find counterfeit money - they teach them all about the genuine so that if they see a counterfeit they will immediately know. When you know Him, then the counterfeit is easy to spot.
That said, the greater danger in Paul's time is false brethren and false prophecies and teaching that people believe - that was Paul's concern in II Corinthians 11, where he made the statement that even satan transforms himself into an angel of light - the context being false teaching, false brethren. In II Corithians 11: 4-14 it was that Christians believe another gospel, another Jesus, another spirit, and again it was false brethren and erroneous teaching, not based on an experience.
So you know...because Christ is in you, your spirit immediately jumps in joy at seeing Him...to be otherwise would be like someone trying to look like my mom and claiming to be my mom - I know my mom so I know the counterfeit. It's that simple.
I do see a lot of personal prophecy gone wrong, even visions people have as Jeremiah 23 says where the Lord warns him of those who have visions of their own heart, prophesies of their own heart, out of their own vanities....
Hope that makes sense...you know Him, and Acts is normal Christianity...He is True and good...blessings, John
@@CWOWI : Thanks for anwering, John! I'd really love to know your Jesus is the real one. But I see so much deception going on in these endtimes. Jesus talks about that, too in the New Testament. And he talks about other inconvinient things. Why is it, that you are not adressing these "hard issues"?
The nature of deception is that you don't know that you are deceived. You just think you're dealing with the original. Maybe already for a long time.
@@Hope4myfriend thanks, and I hear your fear. I would encourage you with a few things. First, I assume you have the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth, so He will bear witness with what I say is true. My sheep hear my voice is what Jesus said - so we listen for Him, not from fear of getting off, but because we know Him and already fellowship with Him, so we know Him.,
Second, do your homework. And I'll suggest 2 ways. The first is this: Do what Jesus said, know a person by the fruit of their life. I've walked with the Father and Lord for some 44+ years. My wife and I met when she was 15 and I was 16. We were born again and Spirit filled together, have 3 great kids, 7 grandkids, and our ministry through the years has been consistent. Balanced Word and Holy Spirit, making disciples of the Lord.
We live simply, in a double wide we have modified to handle our oldest son, who is handicapped, wheelchair bound, etc. We aren't rich nor have a desire for earthly possessions. I've been to heaven, I am graced as a Seer and apostle and the Lord comes to visit me and provide instruction, correction, things coming up in the world, and things to pray about that they not come about - as He did in Matthew 24:20 for instance - giving them instructions how to pray.
In short, my life is balanced, no scandals ever, and I teach the Word.

Paul's great fear for the Corinthians is what he said in I Corinthians 11, that they would believe 'another Jesus, another gospel, another spirit'. He said to keep their faith simple.
You ask why I don't address the counterfeit? Simple. People don't even know their Heavenly Father, nor can they tell the Holy Spirit within from a wrong spirit presented by so many. The way Treasury agents are trained in the field of counterfeit currency is to study and know the genuine so very well, that any counterfeit immediately becomes obvious.
People need to know the genuine, and I do, so I share. I hope that helps, and I do hope you will do your homework and obey Jesus - Jesus is Lord, and the Father is the Source of all good things.
