MATT GOODWIN: How TORY Elites DESTROYED Their OWN Party

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 1 ก.ค. 2024
  • In this video, I delve into how the Conservative Party, once a powerhouse of British politics, has been brought to its knees by its own elites. I explore the series of events that led to this downfall, starting with Boris Johnson's promises post-Brexit to the technocratic leadership of Rishi Sunak. Discover how internal conflicts, lack of vision, and disconnect from their voter base have led to the party's implosion. Join me as I unpack the critical missteps and the future implications for the Tories and British politics.

He called himself the new Blair the day he assumed office. That's when it started. The "rubbish" you refer to was just appeasing the liberal establishment and tbh many people don't care what others do in the privacy of their own homes, but Cameron's statement was all the warning we needed because he was signalling the Tory party wasn't conservative anymore. I don't think any media reported this since they're all in it together.
I've already voted reform as Farage is the only one to declare what his vision for the country is, Starmer has U-turned or evaded and Sunak is just pleading at this point.
Edited: I missed Ed Davey (gasp!), the former Minister for the Post Office that refused to do his job by listening to aggrieved Post Masters, who now want's you to trust his skills as PM by Bungee Jumping or throwing himself into a polluted lake (sadly he resurfaced 9 times).

Sunak leaving the D-Day commemorations early was even worse than it looked. He is from Southampton, THE D-Day city (Portsmouth might disagree). His constituency or Richmond and Northallerton is the home of Catterick Garrison, the largest military base in the country. If there is one person in the country who should have known how important the D-Day commemorations were it was Sunak. His leaving early didn't indicate that he didn't know. It indicated that he didn't care.

Sunak is a mole. A sleeper cell. He was put in that position (unelected) to bring down the tories. The powers that be did everything possible to stop the tories from enacting their manifesto on immigration from falsely accusing Boris of assault on his wife to politicians stepping down in the middle of parliament to stop legislature, they did not want the immigration problem to stop. They finally managed to get rid of Boris and replaced him with 'their' guy who did the opposite, record levels of immigration and issued visas and he then calls an early election for absolutely no reason (when polls showed they were at their lowest levels of popularity and no one was asking him to step down, it makes no sense) and as a final pledge for his manifesto says he will send all of our children to war with national service. Don't tell me that man wasnt trying to get the tories out of power, it's clear to anyone who followed sunaks term in power.

I think it's deliberate and I don't think this is the first time it's happened. Remember Ed Milliband? No, neither does anyone else. Cameron was no shoe in at that election, he'd made no bones about he was Blair 2.0 which annoyed many traditional Tories. Along comes the brothers Milliband up for the Labour leadership. They pack the charismatic brother people liked off to the states and put the drip with the personality of tree bark in charge. The election campaign was a lot like Rishi's this time around, worse than useless. I think they both have taken a dive.

I think the inevitable rise of globalism and the consequent increasing movement of people around the world destroyed the current British Conservative party. Hence current Conservative party voters are confused over what they're voting for when they see someone who's a British national, not entirely ethnically indigenous British, yet is supposed to represent conserving the British identity. Rishi could have stated how the British empire made him who he is today and that he wants to help conserve national Britishness. So far he hasn't. As Matt points in the interview, Rishi doesn't have a vision.

I totally agree with the notion that the Conservatives have had enough time and an 80-seat majority to change things, which they didn't, and therefore have to be replaced. But then: why on earth is the British electorate willing to bring in a Labour-government, which would even make things worse if it comes to open borders, mass-immigration and the like. I fear that people will massivley regret their decision in years to come for not having voted "en masse" for a patriotic party, who has the ordinary people's interests at heart. Sympathetic greetings from Germany.

It's simple really. We need a party that is not socially left wing.
That's it. Kemi Bannenock and a couple of others might have steered the party to a more traditional conservative view, but Cameron, Johnson etc, all went further and further left socially.
To the point that the Tories are more socially left than the Lib Dems were 10 years ago. Socially it's "Do you want hard left or very hard left" They made room for new parties to take the centre right ground because they had abandoned it.

Let us not forget that it was Cameron who met Sunak's very wealthy father-in-law when Cameron was still PM. The deal was set in sone then, that Sunak would get a very safe Tory seat. Sunak was in his very safe seat for a few years before being elevated hugely to being PM. So much so, that the Tory party even blocked their own paid members of the party to be able to vote on who would be the next PM. To nobodies surprise, Sunak was shoehorned in there. Democracy in the western world? Don't make me laugh.
