Reform UK: Richard Tice Denies CIVIL WAR After Nigel Farage SACKS Ben Habib

  • Richard Tice, newly appointed deputy leader of Reform UK, has denied there is a civil war at the heart of the party following a reshuffle of senior figures which saw Ben Habib ditched by Nigel Farage.
Mr Tice said the measures were all part of a natural growth plan for Reform, with their aim to professionalise and rapidly expand the party after winning five seats in the recent general election.
The appointment of Reform donor Zia Yusaf as new party chairman, a role until recently held by Tice, was said to be in an effort to exploit his experience of running a business and raising money for campaigning.
Former Reform UK deputy leader Ben Habib has expressed his “long held concern” on the leadership of the party, which had caused him to consider his position.
Mr Habib has been a major player in Reform, serving as a Member for the European Parliament for the then-Brexit Party.

Nigel had enough of herding cats in a sack at UKIP, which is why he chose a corporate structure with him as majority shareholder. When did they say they want to democratise the party? Democratic voters can vote for Reform in elections, can vote for their policies, nobody will force them, that's where the real democracy lies. And if and when he becomes PM he will be controlled by the House of Commons and the British voter. The party is controlled by Farage. I'm glad Reform are organising along professional lines so they avoid all the problems they had with candidates at the last election. If Reform are to grow, it must be more than the individual, even Farage said he would only be leader till someone younger who could lead Reform going forward appeared. It must be streamlined and organised, it must appoint regional officers to bring the party to a local electorate and work for the council elections, it can then build from the bottom up so when the next general election comes along they are imbedded at grass roots. Its time to pull together, not let petty personal animosity get in the way.

This is a sensible move to include the elected members take the leading roll. Ben will have his time at the next election. It doesnt change his value as a leading commentator in the party. Not every one can be a leader.

Ben didn't get elected, he can still be part of Reform i think its just down to Ben. but them roles have to be held by elected MP's changes have to be made. To move to become a more power political party and this is the best way to do it. I like Ben but its defiantly not over for him in reform

Can people please calm down? Stop panicking and losing your cloister over Ben being moved out as deputy leader. Its about the party on a larger scale. Ben knows that, and Ben can still perform an adequate service to the party and the people even without the position, the idea that he cannot is absurd. I deeply respect ben, but this isn't about him and that's the problem here. He has made it all about him and the inference from him is that if he is not in the position he was in, then the party will waiver, that's massively arrogant and you lot are doing the same. STOP PANICKING.
Ben doesn't have to go anywhere. He can still be for the party, champion it as he has always done and help keep the party in the correct moral place. If that was purely based on position, then ben was never in it for the party to begin with. Its understandable that he is bitter but it is ludicrous to push this silly position.
