This quest, The Replicated Man, is perhaps the most important quest in all of Fallout 3 since it introduces both the setting and pieces of the plot of Fallout 4 seven years before the fact. The Commonwealth, Synths, the Institute, Coursers, and the Railroad are all introduced for the first time in The Replicated Man.
I love how well you have adapted to the repair mechanic from the first few videos, theres just so much to do, theres some hidden quests that great but yu have to seek them or find them by accident, then theres the other vaults ike in 4. and now you know why fo3 is so belovd and addictive
a little tip on Hacking, you should always try 3 words first, before looking for the hacks. @ 14:12 when you were removing duds, you got an allowance replenishment instead, which refills you back to 4 attempts. but because you had not tried any words its wasted as it will not refill past 4. loving your walkthrough, it has inspired me to play through once again. I never went to underworld before, and it looks to be a handy spot. almost identical setup to tenpenny towers without having to blow up megaton
I do that hacking stuff later. But I tell you, there is NO pleasing everyone. When I started doing that, others complained that it was no puzzle anymore. Eh..
I so wish fallout had a copyright free music option, cause at 30:39, after you fix it, three dog comes on with his great wordplay. He talks about how ((not word for word)) ‘everyone can hear him now’ how does he know? Cause the vault kid fixed his Satellite dish! Edit: for grammar/punctuation lol
To anyone new at this game, two bits of info that could help. 1. If you can't find where you need to go next even after you have enabled the quest, check your local map. It always shows you where to go next there. 2. If a part of your body is crippled or damaged, you can save A TON of stimpacks by directly applying them to the inflicted area/part. Go to the STATUS part of your Pipboy where it shows your body/health diagram and as long as you have stimpacks, click on the body part requiring help. It will only cost you one and it will completely fix it without requiring to use them in general just to get the 5% or whatever boost it gets by generally using it. 3. Technically you don't have to, but if you take your time to read notes, hear recordings and read information in terminals, not only you get more backstory which is nice, some funny bits, but also extra info which can help with the game, including even "unlocking" parts which you wouldn't otherwise be able to. There are even some silent quests dealt this way.
@@LIZZgame I was never good in maths. Which is something I planned on typing as a 4th bit and humorous, but I forgot. I am my own worst enemy sometimes.

1:30:42 The Commonwealth along with The Institute were "introduced" to the lore in Fallout 3 but were only mentioned by Dr. Zimmer. Fallout 4 of course would later be set within the Commonwealth and feature the institute as a faction. Both Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 took place on the West Coast so Fallout 3 is very disconnected to the events and lore of those two games relating to wasteland events and factions. The Brotherhood of Steel is really the only connection between both games along with the Enclave you hear mention of throughout your travels. But for the most part the East Coast lore was developed for Fallout 3 and later Fallout 4 with non of this being featured in the past games. The Institute could have a presence elsewhere and who knows maybe some members and synths travelled West but there's no records of that yet. Kellogg from Fallout 4 is from the West Coast, a child during the formation of the New California Republic and would later travel East and meet up with the Institute and working with them. So that's the only connection the institute has to the West Coast by Kellogg. But no word on if the Institute itself has ever featured beyond the East Coast.
Hi Lizz, new subscriber here. I found you because of your FO3 playthrou and i have been on a watch marathon since. I love FO3 and have a few helpful pointer for you. When stuck: Stop and check the quest log and use the local map in your pipboy, it is actually very useful in FO3! Also: Remember that precious loot is to be found on tables and shelves too, not only in containers. I can´t wait to see you reaction when you meet the sweetest NPC in the game: The trader named Tulip in Underworld. She is such a sweetheart that i wish had some quest or something. I´m also looking forward to your first Reaver, but for the opposite reason, hehe. Love your openminded playthrou that isn´t fouled by preconceived ideas due to what people say about the game. Fallout 3 is much better than it´s reputation but it has a bad rep because it is harsher and not holding your hand as much as New Vegas or FO4 does. You have to think for yourself, read signs and go out there and explore!
What is interesting about the Replicated Man quest is that you are not only looking for a synth, but a rogue courser, in fact. Back when I played this game for the first time I was wondering if we were gonna have DLC about the Institute, something that never happened, but to my surprise, FO4 was about this whole plot. There is also a nod to FO76 in this game.
In F3, as long as you're not encumbered and there are no enemies nearby, you can fast travel from _anywhere_ on the world map. No need to reach a waypoint on foot. Just pick the one you want to reach and _go._
Sometimes the marker does bug out. Doing a quicksave then reloading, or going into your quest tab then select another quest, then reselect the quest that the marker bugged out on may fix the bug.
you should really sleep on any bed or matress any chance you get just to keep well rested for bonus xp and a full heal, as long as the bed is't owned you can sleep on it
Fallout 3 is a GOAT except for the scary ghouls and not knowing where to go. I liked New Vegas because you just had to get to New Vegas is what the game felt like. Haven’t played Fallout 4.
if you like the post-nuclear-war apocalyptic vibe the Fallout series has, then I would recommend the Mad Max game, if you haven't already tried it. It's wasteland exploration with Arkham-style melee combat.
It's been awhile, but I think the cigarettes sell pretty well, don't they? They're one of those things that don't weigh much but get a decent price I think.
@@LIZZgame Alles gut, lass Dir Zeit. Mit F3 bekommt man echt was für sein Geld. Es wäre fast schon "kriminell" die Nebenquests liegen zu lassen, so gut sind sie. Das ist halt einer der Gründe warum die Leute F3 lieben.

I haven't played Starfield yet, I don't have the money to buy the game, I also want to buy the game on GOG when it appears there AND I have no computer capable of running it (using a 2014 mid tier laptop), but the idea of having tons of empty space feels quite appealing to me. The graphics in videos I have seen feel very lackluster compared to the system requirements and from what I have heard the space part of the game is so bad that it can easily be avoided at all. All I want is a proper sequel to Elite II, which isn't Elite 4 with its silly (keeping it polite) online connection requirements. BTW, I am not crazy, you just responded to someone in the chat about Starfield.
The way she hacks is very entertaining. I usually just brute force it. I tap all the words and find the replenish allowance on the last word. If I dont find it the the word I exit the terminal and retry and resets your tries but she makes it look more intellectual the way she does it. I feel dumb just brute forcing it. 😂
No spoilers but you could be rich in caps and stimpaks by now if you only picked up packs of cigarettes and other junk to sell it at the mechants in the towns and or traveling mechants in the wasteland. Yes it maybe a bit of a loot grind but then all you have to do is fast travel to towns with the junk and sell it to get caps which then you can buy stimpaks and even sell your junk to get most of your caps back from the mechants! 😁
Technically I know, I just forget about it all the time. Stuck in a building that probably has some enemies somewhere, waiting for you, and a mangled corpse on the bed... sleeping in it is not my first instinct you know
I appreciate the good intentions, but everybody tries to give me advice, and much of it is contradicting. I can't skill EVERYTHiNG at once lol. I'll just go with my gut.
Eden is the president you keep hearing in the floating eyebots spreading that message to the wasteland. New Vegas is ok at best. It was just a filler game to get to 4. The human enemies are ridiculous, the main story was ridiculous, there's little to explore and you just end up running around the desert, it's like eh. Usually every time you level up you get new options to add as a perk. Always scroll down and see what new ones show up before choosing one towards the top. Zimmer = Institute = early synths.

OR they had the idea for another game already and just wanted to have a connection already in this title. But nonetheless, pretty nice!
